Im not so sure about the reverse hermie thing. I used to believe but then Chimera said something that changed my mind.
Being that DJ Short is not a geneticist, I'm not so surr he fully understood what he was observing. I've use a male like that once and his progeny was just fine. His grandkids, however, were a huge mess to deal with. They would have made ol Bruce feel normal again.

i've culled several good looking males after they finally lost their cool and started pushing dangle-berries under 24 hour lighting.

i'm still trying to get some traction on a breeding project. got two gorgeous gg4x males i'm itching to bx to the cut when i get my hands on her. one gg4 x fbpk and one gg4 x grom/digiberry.

just sexed up the latest seed run and found a few promising res sssdh males. i had never considered using a male from that line, anyone have any ideas? they all seem to be more sour leaning from the leaf profile.

i'm also planning to f2 ggg freedom baby (harlequin x joseph og). i want to test the males first and attempt to improve ratio of type ii and type iii progeny with high CBD ratios.

ps---got a few of those elmer's x f.cooks just finishing stretch. the cookie leaners are looking fine but i had one plant that stretched 3.5--4x! thanks for the heads up on the nanners i'll keep an extra sharp eye out.

He did not have a hair.
It is now a full female... not one male part showing... not one 1/2way herm flower... went straight from balls to pistils...


and real talk... In my opinion, jenner just did that sex change shit to get away with killing that lady in the hit and run...
Police have blown apart its story about paparazzi making it crash... yet there is still no court case.

To be clear, this is not something I've seen before and I have only heard of it from the one source. If Chimera has valid genetic explanations as to how this happens, I'd listen, but I've seen slight and major herming... this is a complete unwarranted reversal... sitting with other plants in the veg box... no stress... just "whelp, dont need these balls anymore" and only on the one...

Now he was odd from the start... never before had I seen a male with such tight nodes... I thought he was female until the first balls popped...

I think to myself... "self, we got somethin here... theres no rope in this dope."

He went with the potential keepers of which there were 4 I believe, but he was the tightest and had a good stem rub odor... he got chose.

Fully flowered as I do, this was no 2 week old branch on a windowsill, I took a clone off him, and put him in 12/12 for 2 months and a week...

I looked him over at chop... no hairs at all, just big male flower clusters...

couldnt wait to use him again....

now his clone is all full of pistils with no herm flowers at all nor any balls in sight...

I kept no females and didnt take cuts from him until long after the females were culled... there was no mixup.

This plant was selected by Phillthy while sorting Reservoir seeds Super Silver Haze x Chemdog. Rezdog's SSH mom was famous and well known for producing the multi-cup dominating "Super Silver Sour Diesel Haze" ie OJD's select SSSDH which spurred the beginning of the now renown Connoisseur Genetics.

According to Phillthy:

The plant was originally thought to be a female. It grew excessively tall with super vigor and haze like stretch. By the beginning of the 4th week (pictured below) clearly it was not fit under the lights...a really haze influenced growth pattern being displayed, the fear of continued stretch and long flowering, caused Phillthy to take a few cuts of this "lady". Given the sheer, ridiculous frostiness and excellent vigor, it was an obvious decision to try and grow her out proper!

While those cuts took root and began t0 re-veg, Phillthy carried on with the other phenos. When the time came to flower this frosty haze queen, something odd happened. At two weeks in, he noted male pollen sacks - and not one single female pistil. Not wanting to seed his crop...and perhaps thinking a mislabel had taken place, he killed the one in flower and checked his remaining cuts - ensured labeling was correct, and set another cut to begin flowering. Again, the plant showed nothing but balls - not one pistil. The plant was APPARENTLY now a male.

About 10 months passed as Phillthy (and I) read anything we could to explain this phenomenon. I suggested, this is what DJ Short was referring to when discussing a male that showed pistils producing a higher percentage of female offspring...while there was nothing that truly explained what happened...after TRYING to force pistils via forms of stress, ie light variation, drought, allowing to become root bound - the plant stayed MALE.

Since the initial re-veg, another pistil has never been seen. As odd as that is given the pictures below - the plant is FULLY male....now. LOL!

After accepting this as so, and due to my constant inquiry and suggestions - Phillthy FINALLY, about an entire year after the first flowering attempt - used this twisted stud to make a few hybrids.

The potential for a frost laden haze demon is so HUGE in his offspring - I truly believe the next big thing lies some where in his filial offspring...it is to date, one of the FROSTIEST plants I've ever seen...the stems, the leaves, every inch just encrusted by 28 days into that first flowering...

Odd I know - and so it is read here, with this post - the two seed lines I've ran fathered by this male DID NOT show intersex traits - and simply REEKED of a putrid acidic funk like no other - I want to say dill pickle, as I lack any other familiar scent to compare to - perhaps wasabi.

Again - he bred true male / female offspring.

How would a sex change help with getting out of that crash? From what I've seen he was at fault because he was following too close while pulling a trailer with an SUV. And there is video of him at the scene of the crash so how is it hit and run? Not sure where the case is legally, have to ask the surviving family members it would seem. Interesting about your male/female, not sure how that would be useful in breeding.

Posted this one in the Colorado thread but figured I'd get it in here as well to catch a different audience maybe? Maybe somebody in here is familiar with MK Ultra?

I need some help guys:

I had a cut (EDIT - Shit, now that I think about it it could have been a seedling.) in the past that was gifted to me as MK Ultra and I don't know anything about how true that is or not. I can't remember much about how it grew except that it wasn't super short and squat. It had decent internodal spacing with dense golfball sized nuggets. I grew it out with many other strains with it around a vertical 600 HPS. The thing that stands out about this is the smell, taste, and stone. I distinctly remember the smell being that of burning plastic or rubber. A very odd smell coming from a plant. If you weren't smelling a nug right in front of you it would be a gross synthetic smell. I only ran the one plant and never got a chance to run "MK Ultra" again. While unintentionally becoming a seed/strain whore I came across Bodhi's "Dank Zappa" where the 86 UW Hashplant mother was said to have the burning trash/rubber smell when trimmed and dried. I'd like to dabble with making my own cross with either MK Ultra or backcross to the original 86 UW cut, but I highly doubt that one is around.

Point being here is that does that sound like the clone only MK Ultra that's floating around Colorado or am I barking up the wrong tree? If that sounds like the right terp profile on that cut can somebody point me in the right direction of which clone bar would have the most legit cut?

it's a trans-HERO now... instead of a perpetrator...

kinda the media doing the opposite as what they did to Avery... (in netfix "making a murderer") in that case they demonized him before his day in court... in this case, jenner is exalted as a progressive hero before any potential day in court.... which as we know, isn't coming.

My Jihad cut is directly from the mother UW cut, and I grew the UW cut for 11 years, up till I got busted in 91, and lost everything.
I was able to recover my Jihad cut in 96, but could never recover the UW cut.

There is a strong possibility that there are a number of varieties taken out of the UW.
Hard enough for any grower to stick with one strain or cut, can only assume that at least a dozen varieties were taken out.

Khalisi is indeed from the old Jihad cut.
None of Jihads prodigy thus far have any kind of "nasty" phenos.
Jihad itself is sweet pepper hash all day.
All were crosses though, nothing pure to breed back into.
I'm hopeful that a cross into my Grapestomper or Kosher Kush males will unlock her deep afghany genetics, but time will tell.

Yeah, I would agree nobody talks about the crash, his new life shouldnt impact that but its relatively high profile with celebrity types. I dont understand why driving too fast for conditions, specifically the escalade hauling a trailer, doesnt count for "unreasonable beyond a reasonable doubt", the excuse the da gave for not charging him with manslaughter. He rear ended two cars that day, in my experience anytime you hit the back of another car its your fault. Its shocking how bad you can be injured or even killed in this case by someone who is obviously in the wrong and nothing is done to the offender legally. I had a few friends get rear ended at 60 mph on a highway, lots of broken bones, seven figure medical bills beyween them and the guy admitted to not paying attention after hitting them to the cops. zero charges cause it was an accident basically

the one thats giving me the aroma most similar to what I liked from my first Halo is the taller, stretchier, somewhat leafier, yet frostier one...

the other is a bit of a late bloomer...

and still neither are near as good looking as my MCD Pheno at this age.
