just like stressing a girl, see how they act under pressure
i do it to see if males will flower "early" like show balls and drop pollen at 18-15 hours of light.... a trait more desireable for OUTDOOR strains than INDOOR ( my breeding focus is to create strains for indoor use, so i want things to flip at 12 hours of light, not 15, 14...
i dont stress environment much at all, only light cycle.

i just re-loaded one of my trash can breeding chambers with a g13 x cornbread male.... got it all trimmed up, tied back, ready to go, vegged it for a week, go back to check on it...
all the females are alive, the male is dead
they are all in the SAME SOIL bed, fed SAME EXACT regime of foliars & root feeds....
i have no fucking clue what happened.
luckily i have a `1 gallon pot with about 10 clones in it off the father that just died, will transplant them into the soil bed and flip asap.
so my next male is g13 x cornbread, and after that will be a Rare Dankness Ox.
odd that only one died... AO is doing better than I thought having had not watered him recently... almost dry enough to overwater lol... the other one is awfully rootbound... still in a solo cup, its stems have turned bright red and its leaves are rather yellow... gonna give it a rootball pruning when I TP it...

I was wondering about PMs I'll try to get a few shots of my breeding chamber it's a little 4x4 lit up with an old 250w I had laying around. I have 2 tahoe ogs, probably 4 indica leaning Cali sunsets I think 2-3 sativa leaning Cali sunsets and 2 pineapple fields all getting a good dose of chem pollen. Oh and a slew of chem clones all small hoping to get 10 seeds off of each of them. All the plants are in soil water fed only. Except the chem clones they are in about an ounce of coco top dressed with alfalfa and some 1-10-1 guano.
I recommend flickr for free image hosting... they give you 1TB of free space...

Got this Blue Moon Rocks trimmed down and in the isolation chamber... with a pollen catch tray in place and ready.
it'll recover from my heavy handed pruning in time to flower...
The flowering Agent Orange has been directly on a heat mat and is getting a nice undercurl...
its in too big of a pot so my non-watering has yet to show real effect...
I'm pretty sure the top I supercropped is dead... Its made no effort to turn towards the light.

Looks like the agent o super cropped top is dead. Little browning at the stem break point.

Found three males yesterday. Took them out of the supplemental light in GH, and put them into the great outdoors. I'll let them go and see if I should collect pollen off them. Grab some photographs after breakfast.

I had a GroundPounder that was just off to the side... wasn't gonna flower it this run, but she was lookin big enough that I made up a 7/5gallon sip bucket and got her in there this afternoon... not sure which pollen I'll hit her with but I'm open to suggestions...

Hopefully one of my Blue Kush females will have that blueberry muffin type taste/smell.
just realized i have at least one "GFS" above ground, that's my label for ashratu, (Gorilla floscout).
also have blu moon rocks above ground and several bubblegums and bubblegum crosses.
really excited about this trogger gear,
it's all flo crossed by rare dankness OX (the first in the bubba kush leaning line) then all f2'd and bx'd... plus some ox f2's in the mix. my OX was one of 2 reveg's that failed... the ones that kept were the Miles bubba kush (bubba kush x white widow), Bodhi's Kindness (afgoo x snowlotus, i think), and the purple as hell pakistani chitral diesel.

Here is my ogkb S1 that was male. It was found by another member on here and gifted to me. He had been in this cup for weeks with no transplants he seems pretty happy to me still and will be flowered out shortly to collect pollen from him. The story behind him is my buddy bought some ogkb buds when it first circulated and found 5 beans 4 of them came out female and this boy was found in one of the beans. He has great structure and I fast veg speeds. He really isn't all spacey between the nodes and doesn't stress to easily. He is a very nice plant and I feel will be a great daddy in the future.

that would be a nice flavor to find... dont look like any of my nocs are gonna pop... got a few more to try, but this last batch apparently have germ rates barely approaching 15% cracking properly... got 2 of the ones I cracked manually that are white and swollen, but the tails aint comin out and my potworms'll eat em if I drop em in soil like this... they got about another day before they're replaced.
on that ash, I'd expect more of a cookies yield with a good lemon funk and nice clean but heavy stone... but what she needs is to be chosen towards the phenos with more bulk...
My BMR male is in the chamber already and will flip with the rest of the closet in a week or so... gonna get as much as I can out of him...
He's lookin nice and healthy.. good lookin node space too... what are you thinkin bout usin him on?
From his looks, I'd keep cuts of him around...
