Everybodys flowers are looking so good... I really wish there was a So. Cali cannabis cup by patients for patients. No co-ops, collectives or dispensarys... Just people that want to share and show off the love they have for this great plant Maybe one day (most likely not, $$$ makes things happen, not good intentions)

I thank you for your response. I hate to use that term top shelf. I finally went to a few dispensaries to see what was out there and they loved that term.I was real surprised at the lack of varieties out there and the way they look down at something with out seeing it. If it does not have kush attached to the name they are not interested. I left some of one of my mex strains with a guy my friend seemed to like. He took it like I gave him some old fish. He called my friend up before we hit the freeway asking to buy some. I don't sell it to my friends let alone a nimrod like him. JK

I am just saying I am tired of going into clubs and asking for a sativa dominant flower and they don't have exactly what I am looking for so they try and BS me into buying what they have when what they have isn't top shelf. It is hard to find "top shelf" sativa bud around here. Usually they are in the just under top shelf and it's right because they aren't done flowering...

couple things...(which, as high as i am im sure will turn into, i dunno, 26 things) the sourdubble thing...what are we talking about here...im still kinda shocked...we are talking about clones from the exact same mother, grown the same, both or all looking the same thru veg, then one or some of the plants coming out shitty and unsmokeable? is this correct? and im not doubting anyones skill, cuz the people who have told me this has happened are all top notch growers...but ive never heard of this..maybe in one persons garden it would be assumed to be an anomaly...but can someone explain it? what happened to p91 dude? which brings me to the second thing...
a bro of mine, and a member on these boards who dont really post much, through the generosity of another has come upon a cut of p91 that was taken to another area about a decade ago...so ive decided to give her another run, see if its the same cut weve all been runnin the last couple years...hope that dude comes back around...

So true, which is why I have been looking for something you have grown out. Compare my room with what you have been putting out. If I fall short you might put me on your ignore list lol.I'll want to know where I'm going wrong. I live in such a small circle which narrows your view on things.
I did take some of my work to a club I liked because they give free meds to terminal patients. I dropped off some free oz's I was going to hash out.They asked me to come back later in the week. When I opened the container in an office two budtenders came in asking what the hell was that.The smell went out into their shop.lol They wanted to get it after the weekend.Took it to another shop and bumped it by a 1/4 and they snatched it up. That helped pay down the utilities. First time I worked with a club. It seemed funny that they did not even want to try it. Live and learn. JK

nice thread guys, vegas checkin on the dubb or dud situation, Sub I have never even heard of whats happining to this cut, out of 25 cuts taken from the same mother I got 14 duds, total waste of time and space. the others came out normal. there is another grower in the area that has the dubb that hasent had any problems, im going to try and get a cut from him and im also revegging a good one to see what happens, once they go into flower they just dont do anything, skinny stems, puny looking, hardly any smell and no rez. i went ahead and killed the mom but man I hate to loose this cut, so special she is. also had a couple that where like half dud and half normal.

im pretty sure its not ph related.... actually, VERY sure

*25% of the cuts ive taken the last 3 runs have gone the way of the 'dud'..... from same mom

*i noticed they dont root or grow as aggressively

*their overall color is darker

*the branches are way brittle - instead of having any kind of pliability they SNAP when you put a little pressure on them... they snap right where the branch meets the main stem. hell, you can snap the main stem between your fingers with just a little pressure. and itll sound like SNAP like fresh crisp celery breaking.....

*the fan leaves will not have the wideness of space between blades but they'll be more narrow almost webbed if that makes sense

*the plants themselves are not 'stable' you can have them in a pot nice and packed tight but if you move the main stem instead of holding firm, its loosey goosey

*and the buds... they dont smell. at all.
they dont have the resin
and they smoke like shit
even the hash and butter made form them sucks....

we're talking cuts sourced from the same mom.... hell i even had a mom that churned out numerous 'killer' turn dud itself ITS CRAZY

i think its some kind of disease of virus.... thats what a few other plants are telling me. or maybe its a curse...

it goes from some of the best pot around to THE WORST EVER

I read a thread here where I believe it was Cali and Zoo were taking about how they got 2 different looking plants from the same mom. One with the finer leaf and one with the wider leaf as they were 2 different phenos. I was curious what was pushing these expressions. I can see different environments causing this but these were fed the same food under the same lights. After reading Humbles remark about liking lower light levels I got to thinking maybe it was the difference from the light source that was causing this.This is the first time I heard about there being gems and dogs from the same mom. Are these dogs having the same appearance as the gems? Suerte JK

Your P/K ratio is off. Go heavy on the K. I would be willing to bet that if you presoaked your medium, especially in a coco base, you would see more uniformity.
I think it's more about learning how a particular cut responds to it's environment. Change your variables, note the response. Different rooms = Different environments. This doesn't even get into the "root" of the matter, which is all chemistry and much more difficult to understand. I'm still learning everyday.
The P91 that has been circulating is weak. I'd like to see the new cut your working with Rob. I still get requests for her time to time.

Although, I do have a buddy running the SAME cut weve had the whole time, the one that has given both gems and duds, and hes got some in early flower that look BOMB....So, it's just gotta be a sensitive plant, but what is it sensitive too??????

So far, it seems these could be issues...PH, lighting, nutrients, lol everything!

yes, everyone should keep a log book, recording feeds and environment always. i just started 2 grows ago and it helps alot.

The newest addition to my collection of flowering girls; Airborne G13. I've never smoked G13, but I hear great things. The plant is a GROWER, I have topped this one 4 times already!
