That's "legalization" for you. If there still exists any platform at all through which an individual can find themselves stripped of their rights, not just limited to their freedom, then legalization is nothing more than a farce.

The battle is NOT over. F' compliance. Keep overgrowing!!!!

Fuck yeah Frank. This isn't legalization. I am seeing more people in the paper than ever.

Fuck them now, fuck them with a med card, and fuck em when I started with nothing.

Handle your business, and fuck them all.

What do you mean "more people in the paper than ever"? Like more arrests/prosecution for cannabis related stuff than in the past?

Two more Zamaldelica x Panama leaning phenos yet to finish.

Ill post pics when they're done. Big ups to MedTree Seeds (ECTraveler) and Ace Seeds (Dubi) for letting me stand on their shoulders to create this cross!
Great job on this cross... beautiful colors, very impressive...!!!...
Med Tree SuzyQ Bx2 - still vegging. Waiting for the center branches to fill in more before flip. I'm not expect too much stretch with this plant, maybe 2-2.5x. At most, a couple of weeks away from flip.

Boats N Hoes #4 (Zamaldelica / Panamanian leaning pheno) at 12 week chop under 25w per sqft of screw in LED:

This one best represents what to expect from the thin leaf side of the cross and was more or less my intent when making landrace sativas approachable for the "I refuse to go longer than 80 days" crowd. The first three are great for those who are looking to finish quickly with sativa touches - especially plants like #1 (zamal) and #3 (panama) effects.

I have one remaining plant (#5) which has ultra narrow leaf fingers and will take about 14 weeks to finish. It has the largest buds of the group, and while rocking skinny leaves has basically platinum GSC bud structure with Zamaldelica only terpenes.

Overall, I am very happy with the size, color, frost, that mango, citric, pineapple-ish tropical sativa smell and relatively short finishing time with all of the crazy sativas involved (Panama red, Zamal, Thai, Malawi). Considering these plants are tap water / dirt, I am REALLY looking forward to seeing what everyone else finds / can produce in bigger setups, different mediums, nutrient schedules, etc.

Boats N Hoes #5 got chopped at 14 weeks - a bit late to let the seeds mature. 2 males were used on this one, Obama Kush x Blueberry & Napalm x Violeta (Fire OG x Destroyer x PCK x Malawi). A little less color than I would like from the cross but the size on this plant is ridiculous. Its probably the biggest (production line dense) colas I've seen since switching to my little cabinet setup.

Close observers will note there are some very late flower herms that developed. As I was trimming her up, I noticed that they had viable pollen and quickly rushed to my cabinet to pollinate an Ace Panama x Honduras with them. Boats N Hoes x "My Precious" can't be a bad S1 cross. What can I say, my favorite line in Ace's huge list is Panama x Honduras

I mean since medical was settled here in California. They largely left cannabis alone.

Now with "legalization" Instead of code enforcement writing you up and fucking with you the cops have grown a pair again and I seeing more people hassled than since ore med.

Just yesterday, Newsom said he wanted to step up enforcement because the black market is cutting into the legal market therefore hurting tax revenue.

AB 286 asks for 100 million for enforcement, cuts excise tax from 15 to 11%, eliminates cultivation tax for two years.

Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement supposed to be revived for that as well. Doubt that will all be focused on trespass grows.

They asked for 75 million for enforcement last year and didn’t get it.

If there exists any platform at all through which a single human being can be put inside a cage for the growing of this plant, then we have fallen short of our goal and we have sold out those who came before us.

The plant didn't endure persecution to end up some corporate bitch...nor did any of us growing it.

The fight is FAR from over. The legalization movement gained steam because it showed the government they could in fact exert an element of control over it again. That. Is the ONLY reason.

It's not like they are doing it for the good of humanity, not to be glib, but let's not be foolish.

Hell, we may have given in too much already to ever regain any semblance of a say when it pertains to OUR plant. I certainly hope not. (am I the only one thinking this stuff?)

I know I’m being picky. What I was saying is #4’s color / frost and #5’s size / smell would be a neat ideal sativa side pheno, though I doubt I’ll find fault in the smoke or flavor of either. With a larger selection group I’m sure you could find even more exciting stuff, but of the 5 females I’ve popped the most “boring” pheno was #2 as it was a dead ringer for MedTree’s Catalina Wine Mixer. I know, rough life right??

Cannabis legalization in its current form exists due to lobbyists and investors, who convinced the general population they would be better off with recreational versus the current medical program, in California at least.

People too lazy to get a 40$ script every year now get to pay 45% tax on everything, with a lot less choices,

People growing for a group of friends are unaffected, it’s really commercial producers that are most affected.

Growers are not the focus at all, in any of this really, except for taxes they generate, just the end market and owners/ investors.

Cannabis convictions were tossed out in Ca. I believe, felony’s reduced to misdemeanors for weed in a lot of cases. Can no longer use smell for probable cause, kids can’t be removed for pot from homes I believe.

Theses changes, along with perceived increased availability will make it hard to put the legalization back in the bottle.

Med Tree - Suzy Q Bx2 - She's gotten big under the 315 CMH. She is about 10 days in flower. I figure she'll run 8-9wks.

Side note - ECt needs to breeze through. The above plant, is piney and a bit wind blown hay field smelling. It really does smell identical to the Dr. Atomic NL I grew years ago. But truly, it doesn't have much smell AT ALL. It's very mild.

In some ways, for a hemp plant, maybe that is good?

However, I have a male I've kept as well from the line. It on the other hand, is much, much more pungent. Same smell profile, but with an greater pine intensity. The male, is also, very sticky, very tacky on it's leaves and stem. Tacky enough, I can hear the pull apart on my fingers if held close to my ear. The male, seems to be a stand out from it's siblings in that regard.

I'd hate to utilize the male, on a CBD line, if he isn't in fact a highly dominant CBD:THC plant. It'd be self defeating to the end goal. (keepers less than 0.3% THC)

I see the logic and science behind what Med Tree does producing the 2:1 THC:CBD ratios, so this male, could serve as a tool for hitting a couple keeper ladies to make them more medicinally effective.

Aside from testing leaf tissues for cannabinoids, how do I really ascertain what a CBD male will do in the next filial generation?

Growing CBD is a bucket list item for me and I'm honored to have it be Med Tree gear I get to play with. I just don't know enough about this aspect of cannabis, or well, hemp.

Med Tree Seeds - Suzy Q Bx2 - CDB line. 40:1 ratios more or less. She's just really starting to get going at 15 days in. Next few weeks will be fun. Pine lumber up front and a mild fruit punch sort of smell in the background. She's going to stack nicely for sure.
