A nice up sativa high. Very anise-y. Not too finicky on the nutes like other sativas (hogsbreath).

I would pinch/top a lot in order to make her bushy-ier.

getmo just found a killer pheno of durban in some Seeds of Africa gear, I've been wanting durban and some zamaldelicia lately myself. I think ACE seeds landraces have been consistently less "dutched" than a a lot of the others like DP etc.

Hey Sub :huggg: I've never run CBG's durban poison, but they describe it as clean, happy and positive which is very different than my experiences with Durban Poison. The Durban I've run have had a strong anise/black licorice smell and were pretty racy and a bit too paranoid for my liking.

On the other hand, hybrids with Durban were strong and had great output with very little effort or management. The one that comes to mind is Sam Skunkman's Durban Poison x Skunk #1 - the output under the CFLs was comical and it had a really nice, Newport/Kools menthol-blue toothpaste with a hint of black licorice smell and taste which stuck with you the way Diesels do:

I do love CBG's Destroyer, its a head full of crystal clear mountain air with a generous helping of "you guys wanna go ride bikes?" ADHD energy. I've since really fallen in love with more purple selections of purple haze for their clear/energetic/happy effect which is primarily the central american influence. It's part of the reason I've been playing more and more with Panamanians, Guatemalans, Hondurans, etc.

Whadeezlrg - you're nuts man. Zamaldelica is the bar-none, hands down, strongest thing I've ever smoked. Its instantly I-ate-too-many-sativa-edibles scary high and borderline legitimately psychedelic. The tall-spindly thai/zamal phenos (above image) are the scariest and most electric, while fatter plants tend to lean toward the malawi which makes for a more penetratingly potent, deeply moving, energetic stone. Every seed I've planted of this line and every cross I've tried has been a little too intense - even when bred with indicas to calm down the scary. If you want to turn the knob up to 11 (and then rip it off) this is the line for you.

Just keep thinking I don't see you and your buddies. Been quite a few years since I've had a moth find it's way into my veg room. They were mainly chomping down on CBD plants in a room of mostly THC. This mom and 2 males

Terpene- thats exactly what I'm looking for lol I recently watched a weedequitte episode that was mostly about strains from the congo...I started looking at a ton of landrace beans and the zamaldelicia's description seemed to be exactly what I'd been looking for...as far as the durban goes, it was one of my favorite scores when I was 18-19 and I havent seen it since, chasing those nostalgia strains atm...still lookin for the original urkle too hahaha just getting kinda bored with all the hybrids lately.

i think more canopy management with CFL due to the shallower penetration maybe?

those durban skunks on the last page were lovely.

Sorry, I wasn't being clear. HeadyBlunts hit the nail on the head.

The CFLs have a volleyball of useable light, so you're CONSTANTLY training, screening, topping, bending, tying, etc to get a dead flat canopy. Its a pain and it limits your grow to a very 2D space. With LEDs, I top once, veg and then flower. No tricks, no screens, nearly zero maintenance - similar to 4-600w HPS setups.

Whadeezlrg- I have nothing but the best things to say about the Ace seeds experience / lines / everything. I've run just about the entire catalog at this point and continually look forward to new releases from Ace. Those are indeed my pics of Zamaldelica. There are a couple more pages worth here (link).

Ace's Congo line (Bangi Congolese x Congolese Red x Pakistan Chitral Kush) is a little hard to describe, but I agree with the Ace description - a premium sativa high that ticks all the boxes. Its very clear, focused, energetic, motivating and generally pleasant. It also has a "pink" flower petals and strawberries smell in veg and flower which I really enjoyed. PCK leaning phenos also exhibit some nice pink / red colors in the flowers, which makes for good pics. :D

Bangi Haze is another line with a healthy amount of Congolese that's a bit more squat if you're concerned about height - though Ace's Congo is pretty tamed for an African sativa in terms of height. Mine had a lemon-black licorice smell. I should note that my Ace Bangi Hazes were a bit more stimulating, heart-through-the-chest than Ace's Congo.

Totally different but also African and worth considering is Ace's Malawi (above), which is a potent but a sorta weird high. Smoke starts off energetic and motivating but is nearly debilitating / paralysing in its strength and remarkably "dense" (not dirty) for a sativa. Like trying to think through a fog. You get a creeping tightness in the gut which almost revolves in a kneading fashion. You can describe it as deeply moving, or as "the fear", or as the come up on mushrooms (first 30 minutes after ingestion). As the high fades off several hours later, it becomes a bit narcotic-couchlocky. It puts on serious weight, but expect your plants to smell unpleasant - like old, used gear oil and rotten wood with a hint of lemon. I am less a fan of pure Malawi and more a fan of Ace's crosses like Purple Haze x Malawi - which is excellent.
