I grew out both G-13 and TW this outdoor season. I don't think I would put the G-13 back out next year (as my indoor is devoted to quick finishing indica dominate) but the TW was a nice plant to grow...almost like a vine. She packed on serious weight with barely any structure to support it, it was an odd plant to watch grow but the buds were very nice.

I've grown out all the Serious stock excluding Chronic and I loved each of them. I am a real big fan of Serious so I might be biased...just can't go wrong.

Best of luck,
Germ

hey ther sammet, sorry to ear that your stash is ending mate, i hate to be dry wen i could have done a better timming, but thats life, i think for me the best solution to not pass trowgh that again is to go perpetual, then you dont stop, an almost every week you harvest a plant, that should be nice!peace

That's exactly the Idea I had, unfortunately a couple of months late  My intentions are to fill my mini tent with 4 mums, and flower clones every so often - perpetual like you said. I'm training a green spirit and oasis to be mums, but they're sexless at the moment (but were from femmed seeds).

The Sweet tooth is femmed and says 99% female on the pack even though when I bought them they were sold as just regular sweet tooth :D I've got 3 seedlings doing pretty well, I hope to find a good mum from one of them.

The BB Cheese is not feminised so I'm going to grow em up and chuck the males, if I find anything good I'll clone it into a mum.

I have ways of acquiring bud but I don't like it . Paying dealers for rubbish green really gets on my nerves but I guess I'll just have to buy an Oz and keep it for any time my anxiety/depression/insomnia flares up and make it last a month or two. :badday:

Thanks for stopping in guys. The stuff I'm using for LST - It's basic wire insulation, without the wire in it. It's soft and flexable with a bit of give (its basically rubber) so it never cuts into the plants.

I just duct tape it down on the side of the pot and then each day unstick and restick it further down to maintain the training. Easy does it :D

I'm on holiday now until after xmas :D so there'll be more updates, more photos and sooner rather than later, more bud.

I spent ages in the grow room today and took loads of photos of the cheese and sweet tooth with the intention of uploading them on here tonight, but I'm so baked - man will it feel good to not have to wake up to the sound of an alarm tomorrow morning :D

Here's a woodpecker that was in my garden earlier, just happened to have my camera with me (had to take the photo through the kitchen glass)

Cheese and Sweet Tooth update

Cheese and Sweet Tooth update

Hi guys

I've found out the hard way that jiffy coir pots are not the best thing for young plants. It's been a few days since I transplanted and they've started producing nice green new growth.

Here's a photo of one of the Sweet Tooth (all 3 look very similar):

These guys are really compact, and so far are producing very broad leaves - you can see the yellowing/spotting caused by the poor drainage of the pots.

Here's some photos of the Cheese. Two of the Cheese look like this with thick broad leaves:

21338cheese1213-1.jpg

And the other Three Cheese look like this with thinner leaves:

21338cheese1213-2.jpg

And here's a shot of the Green Spirit being LSTed, she's almost horizontal!! :D

Hopefully they'll start to take off now they've got some room for their roots to stretch :joint:

Thanks TML

I just got a laser thermometer today, cost £30 ($60). Measured my seedlings and their leaves are all nicely sitting at 78f under the 250W envirolight in the minitent. The Oasis and Green Spirit's canopies were at 75f (under the HPS!) so now I've moved them closer and the temp is sitting at 82f now. With the 6" vortex on the 600W cooltube, the surface temp of the tube is approx 92f - that fan does some good work!

A total stoner invention, I've been walking round my house reading the temperature of random objects :D :biglaugh:

Hey, Hey...keep your thermometer outta there! :yoinks: :biglaugh: j/k...I like to make bad jokes.
You don't even want to know what kind of temps I have to deal with :pointlaug

I like how you add other photos to your thread. Nice to see from my pov, it's only December and I already miss the green.

Hey Sammet,

Your gardens lookin great at the mo. I did chuckle at the laser thermometer until I realized thats actually an excellent idea. Would be nice to get a better feel for temps more accurately in specific areas.

Had considered getting a light meter or multi enviroment meter but haven't found an affordable one yet.

Glad you shared about the peat pots also, after seeing your crisp white envirolite next to the cheeseling homed in her rustic little pot, I was considering them as an alternative to re potting.

Whats the stinkiest so far? Cheese?

Hi Ryu - the infrared thermometer is really handy, definately a must for anyone who's unsure about the placement of their lights or anyone who wants to maintain their canopy at optimum temperature.

Peat pellets = great, jiffy coir pots = not so great.

About the smell, it's definately the Green Spirit for the stinkiest but shes twice as big as the cheese/sweet tooth though! The northern lights seems not to smell as strong though.

I'll get some more photos up tomorrow, the cheese/sweet tooth has had a good little growth spurt. I think I'll get swap them around and put the cheese/sweet tooth in the XL under the 600W and keep the Green Spirit and Oasis in the mini.

Time for an update!!

This was the mini-tent yesterday.

Here's a shot of the Cheese

Here's the Sweet Tooth

Seems the little hiccup with the coir pots isn't affecting them anymore, nice green new leaves. I think I'll start training them tomorrow.

Here's the Oasis (NL#2) - It's so bushy I can't get a clear shot of the main stem, too many shoots and leaves!!

This is a photo the Green Spirit yesterday and today

I decided to swap the plants around so the Oasis and Green Spirit are back in the mini tent with the 250W enviro, now their permanent home. The Cheese and Sweet Tooth are under the 600W in the XL tent with the 200W enviro.

I bought a hydrogarden carbon filter stand because my phat filter is too heavy to hang in the tent :biglaugh: and now it's at the top it's removing the hot air in the tent (rather than the cool air at the bottom when it was on the floor).

More updates to come when I get training

I vote give the Cheese 600w also.

Can you touch the glass on your cool tube? How close can you get your canopy when in full flower?

Reason I ask is I have similar gear but my intake is way too small to be efficient and I vent my veg room linked with ducting.

I got stuff under control but would love to know how much difference it actually makes to have an intake twice the size of the out take. Hell, even same size would be helpful.

I got one end of my cooltube open as its the only way I could work out cooling both areas with one ruck fan.

And do you dry in a box you could be growing in or break stealth and dry else where in you pad?

My grow is in a locked room in my basement, the tents aren't so much for stealth as they are for ease of use. I can't modify the room I'm using so the tents allow me to have mini-rooms inside the one I use.

The minitent sucks in air with it's 4" and puts it out through a carbon filter into the main room. The XLtent then has a 5-6" hole at the base (shown in the photo above) with the 6" fan exhausting through the top of the tent into some ducting that handily goes up to the attic and then to rest of the house.

(sorry for the old 4" pics! before I upgraded to the 6" acoustic ducting)

This means that air from the room is sucked into the XLtent (as it's at lower pressure) and the main thing, fresh air from the rest of the house is sucked in. This means I don't have to worry about odour control for the basement, nothing gets out! So I get fresh air, no smell, low temps :D

I can hold the 600W cooltube when it's on. Using the IR thermometer the surface temperature is approx 90f and I normally keep the light about 8-12" away from the canopy when in flower. At the moment the plants have just been moved into the XL so it's slightly higher than it would normally be to give them time to adjust.

This is how far away I kept it with the 4", so should be closer with the 6". (Hard to find photos of it down, the benefit of using the yoyo light things is that I can just pop the light up for a photo and then put it back down after)
