I would agree with you chubbynuggs... except I think he got the new digital vaporizer which doesn't have the knob anymore...

I think 374F is a good temp because its mostly vapor but it is also SLIGHTLY burning the herb too, so it gives you a better high-- sort of best of both worlds.

The volcano is definitely my favorite vaporizer, but I can't say that I enjoy the high from a vaporizer more than the high from my bong. A volcano high really makes you stupid and loopy, it sort of ****s up your day in my opinion. But then again--- its SO much healthier than smoking... as long as you don't have shit to do afterward.

Another plus I've found is that you can save your vaporized weed as long as you actually vaporize it and not burn it.... when you get enough saved up you can bake with it. Then again its mostly CBDs left in the vaped weed so you get REALLY tired after a few brownies.

Cheers for the tips Quezo. I've got some photos from monday when I transplanted the Oasis and GreenSpirit but still can't upload them. They're doing fine so far and no signs of any stress from the move. I replaced the 200W enviro with the 250W for the mini tent(in the supernova reflector), trying to keep the heat up lol. At the moment they're running 75f during the day and 65f at night. I'm sure it'll jump back up to the low 80's when the XL tent is running.

Speaking of which, I've got a new fan/ phat filter / acoustic ducting for the XL tent. Should give me lower temps, better ventilation, better odour control and lower noise! (I've rigged up the old(4months) carbon filter to the mini tent as the seedlings are starting to smell a bit )

Both tents now have exhaust fans, 4" for the mini (285m3) 6" for the XL (725m3), as well as a budget carbon filter on the mini and a Phat Carbon Filter on the XL. Should cope with 250W cfl in the mini and 600W cooltube + 200W cfl in the XL


The air is pulled into the growroom under the door, the mini takes in the cool air and spits out relatively cool and odour free air back into the room. The XL pulls in air from the room and filters it whilst cooling the 600W HPS, and the exhaust goes out through a vent in the ceiling (from the basement to roof). If I didn't have that exhaust vent it would be impossible for me to have this kind of setup in a semi-sealed room.

Damn still thinking whether i should get a carbon filter or not. The way i look at it its gotta smell around my house anyway cause i chief the bong all day long here. I wonder if a filter takes some of the smoke scent away as well?

If you want ultra odour control including the smell of your smoke then Ozone is the way to go. I was thinking of using an odour sock but got a deal from my hydro shop on the fan/acoustic ducting/phat filter that made the carbon filter almost free. Too good to pass up - gotta love that regular customer 10% discount too

Just keep in mind that ozone is hazardous to your health, so you should only use it when you're not around and have it turn off a while before you get back. Definitely not something to use all the time.

Aye, with most ozone generators they have a low setting which is fine for use around humans but any high level ozone isn't great. And it's bad for the environment too

(just read up on it more, Ozone can be some pretty bad stuff - seems it's only recommended for professional usage).

Temps with the new ducting/fan/filter under the 600W at 5" are a very respectable 77f I've just LSTed the Green Spirit and Oasis. Man are they some short ass plants. I'll get some decent pics up when upload works again. Got a busy weekend ahead, couple of essays to write eek. The cheese and sweet tooth are starting to break through the jiffy coir pots so I'll get them transplanted up soon


Edit: I strongly recommend the use of gloves when messing with that acoustic ducting. It's got fibreglass as the insulation. Foolish I thought, I'll be alright without gloves, I just won't touch it.

Alright guys? Man have I been busy recently

Green Spirit on the left, Oasis on the right. They're really taking off after the transplant.

Here's the Oasis - Notice it's still got very purple stems even though the purple on the leaves has gone.

Not LSTing as well as the Green Spirit below which is lovin' it

And these guys are now living in the XL until the Cheese and Sweet Tooth are big enough to go in there (made my own silencer too). I've transplanted the Cheese and Sweet Tooth but they aren't doing as well as these two above - the Jiffy Coir pots don't have adequate drainage so they've had some wet roots. But after some yellowing I've freed them into gallon pots where they can spread out. Will post the Cheese and ST photos in a couple of days.

Nice start Sammet! That camera is great, I really need to invest in a better one.

I'm a big advocate of LST, as opposed to just topping. Nice lineup of genetics you have going. Maybe next time around you could pick another seedbank and test out the entire stock as you have with DP? An entire Serious grow would be pretty cool.

Germinator - I've been thinking about doing that - I've pretty much exhausted the Dutch Passion line - Serious has some nice seeds - I'd be interested to grow some AK47, Kali Mist and Bubblegum. Ideally I'd like to grow some of the fad strains that are knocking about at the moment, nycd diesel, g13, trainwreck etc just to see what the fuss is all about, but I'd have a hard time getting hold of any cuts

hey ther sammet, sorry to ear that your stash is ending mate, i hate to be dry wen i could have done a better timming, but thats life, i think for me the best solution to not pass trowgh that again is to go perpetual, then you dont stop, an almost every week you harvest a plant, that should be nice!peace
