Saibai vs. the monkeys

:D Well, I checked em out yesterday, they didn't look too bad at all (Sometimes I worry too much). The ones still in smallish pots all had roots growing into the soil already, and the more established ones all have started to show lots of preflowers.

I took some pics of the hairs but my phone was too crappy - they were all blurry.
Also, my MaT is turning purple too. :D

I may as well let you guys know my growing objectives for 2008:

1. To not get caught.

2. To be fully organic in nutes, amendments and pest control.

3. To grow at least enough weed to last me until next harvest:
Say, about 10gms/week, 520gms for the year. 2 years (1kg+) would be better.

plus: enough to make a "fair amount" of dry-sieve hash, experiment with iso and some cannabutter.

4. If possible, to make some f2s or a nice cross. I think I'll call it "Monkey Magic". :D
MaT x ZamalxSkunk? Satori f2s?

If I can achieve those, I'll be more than happy.

edited for brevity:

2007, fucked.

2008, good.

edit part 2: made the following chart at work, bored and waiting for the clock to run out. I based the percentages on what info was available for the strains. The HB is from a Mandala Mike post in the Mandala forum,
the Snow White from Nirvanas description (Fat pure indica x White Widow?), Satori was a guess pretty much, based on reports and a thread in the Mandala forum,
Skunk, well originally supposed to be 75% sat
and for Zamal: Zamal 100% sat x Skunk 75% sat.

Bored, time is going soooooo slowly today.

Hi guys, I appreciate the support.
Now, I hate to post without new pics, but this is more for my own records.
After a few days heavy rain (its the season here) got to check on my girls yesterday. Found some pretty bad damage on the Satori in the uppermost tier of my plot, looks likes some kind of bug has been munching on it. Leaves are really curled up and strange looking - not the usual crinkly leaves for the Satori.
Found a big snail on the main stem of the big MaT, but no signs of damage or any other bugs. Hit them all with another drenching of neem.

Glad to see that they're all going pretty well, might top the MaT and the ZamalxSkunk again, as it's catching up big time. If I leave it, with stretch it could be *huge* :nono: Not that that would be all bad though.

I might start feeding with some organic liquid nutes soon, I think the amendments I added to the soil at the start of the season are pretty much gone by now. Maybe topfeed with some cow or chicken manure instead perhaps? Had a bad experience with chicken manure *cough* that happens when you topfeed one plant with like 2 litres *cough* idiot *cough*.
Sprinkle some dolomite, not going to worry about the molasses feedings too much just yet, maybe start at end of July/start of August.
Will post pics of before/after topping.
Pretty much just weekly neem spraying, with my ultra-handy pump sprayer...major reccomendation to any grower, indoor or out. Should have got one with more capacity though >:/
Topfeed as mentioned above...and let them cruise through veg. Ha, famous last words.

btw, doesn't look like I'll be making any crosses or f2s this season...my only male is gone, the attempts at cloning it failed miserably, and all the others look like females!
Oh well, gives me an excuse to buy more kickass strains next season. :D

Wallyduck c99 cross, anyone? :headbange:

Those snow monkeys in Japan are probably the only ones on the whole planet who have access to their own Jakuzzi, so it stands to reasion that with such an obvious appreciation for the sublime pleasures of life, they should naturally also have a taste for quality bud during their more contemplative moments.

Get the monkeys high today, Sabai, and be sure to let us know how our furry cousins respond to your peace overture.

hamstring: thanks dude, I didn't realise until after I posted it that it would look like a monkey... :muahaha: These guys are brown tho... :rasta:

Swamp: I hope they got some of my secondhand smoke today, they've been really restless recently. :spank:

So, anyway, you're in for a treat, it's a motherfucken pic bonanza;

:nono:

First up, this is left to right: Sensi Skunk#1, looking pert and not minding the recent constant rain. This girl has very sativa looking leaves, I'm looking forward to smoking it. Its been really healthy, actually it was born a mutant, really twisted fucked up leaves, I just let it grow...should be the same size as the big MaT and Zamal...I like this plant though.... Next, thats a MaT in the pot, but half buried. The roots are into the soil. Closest is a Satori in a big pot. This Blue-pot Satori has really thin leaves, I would swear it was one of the Zamals...

I think this is a pic of the big MaT...thats dirt on my mobile's lens, from slipping and falling on my ass, on the way up and the way down the mountain today.
No, wait...thats the big Zamal. About 5 foot now. How big will it get in flowering?

Aahhh, the lowest tier of te garden, two more Satoris.

Another Satori, fat-leaved.

Green Label Kirin...the commercial goes "Its good, its green." :jump:
Let me catch my breath, smoke a joint and have some of that beer. More pics to come.

View from the top tier, you can see the Snow White and the MaT.

A Hashberry, it had fallen over from all the rain, this is after I righted it.
You can see the leaves haven't adjusted themselves yet.

Another Satori.

These are the 2 top tier plants, a Hashberry and a Satori. The least healthy looking ones. To be fair, they are getting the least light, and probably least love. Its a bitch to climb up to them.

The Snow White, looking fine, but check out the leaves...every single one has three fingers, except maybe one or two fan leaves...

Tirs: Well, I'm willing to let it go for as long as it needs, and with my latitude and climate I think it will be OK.
Next season I want to grow one or two more pure sativas, like a Nevilles Haze or something, so this will be a good trial.
I keep calling it a Zamal, but its a FMS Zamal x Skunk from their X-line, so the skunk should bring the flowering time down. This is one plant that I do not want to harvest too early. :joint:

Hey, just found some old photos on my phone, from earlier this year:

Little teeny tiny seedlings, I think thats my first round, just germed, with some more waiting to pop. :D Don't even remember taking this pic.

Adding some amendments, prepping holes:

Got seed? 500g of hemp seed, about $5US.

I was lazy yesterday, I took it easy with a beer or two and a glass of the Jim Beam Green pictured above.

Must hit em today while the weather is still good....prune, neem, some topfeed, maybe a touch of liquid organics...if I have the time. :violin:

Slightly off topic Saibai, but is it true what they say about Japanese 19 to 25 year-old women ? I happen to think they are the sexiest on earth, but maybe that is just a bit of "greener grass on the other side of the fence" dreaming on my part.

Plants looking good though, and do let us hear the results of the first smoke test when the time comes.
