Hey guys, pouring rain here still and I just had to check on the girls. Ninja boots were really not much good in the mud.

Skunk#1: mold, not too bad
Satori spear: some mold! was also bent over to the ground from weight of water in buds, no snapped branches though.
HB: mold...pretty bad. I took some buds while the getting was good, the bigger, fatter ones were the worst. Also bent over and some branches snapping under the weight.
SW: no mold! no bigger buds though either...
Zamal: becoming a fucking monster...

couldn't get down to check on the Satori indica pheno...its starting to yellow. God I hope its OK, that sample bud was fucking great.

Not very happy about the mold, but you know whats worse? I snipped some SW buds off to take home and slipped in the mud...and lost them. Believe me, I would've taken them home if they were just muddy, but I couldn't find them at all. That is the kind of shit that just haunts me. :l
Next time I think I'll just harvest her.


I cut out all the mold on the HB, it was in the centre of the buds of course, threw out quite a few grams. :.. (
The good news is that the ones that were OK look and smell great, and are hard and dense like rocks. I'll post pics when dry, I ended up with maybe a 1/2 oz or so dry weight?
Of course, I left most on the plant. This bullshit rain can't last forever.





Next year Greencure is on the top of the shopping list.

saibai u didten snipped a monkey fast as lightning knock your feet away from you torso on a split secound whit a tiger/dragon frontal low kick and then it took the buds and disapear again ....i know this because a real ninja newer snips hehe Sry to hear about the mold m8 i say take the mold away and harvest the rest before the mold is over it again ....Good luck for better weather

And yeah, I got the biggest buds today from the HB and left the rest. I think this weekend, at the latest for the SW and HB. Sometimes u gotta cut your losses..."You gotta know when to fold em..." etc.

just been smoking the quick-dried hashberry, and I do believe these buds are pretty much done. I haven't checked the trichs yet though.

esbe: I know, weird but then again, there was lots of vegetation on the ground. But to lose a branch? Strange. Maybe I'll find it today. Maybe it was an offering to the monkey gods for not stealing my buds all season. Thinking of it that way makes it better.

Lt Herb: Yeah, I wasn't seriously expecting to come through with zero mold, but I was doing my best to fight it. Thanks for the bud, it was great.


ps. checked the trichs of the largest bud, something like 5% clear 85% milky 10%amber...
Hashberry and Snow White are coming down this afternoon.

Well, I just chopped the HB and SW...I didn't leave any buds.
oh well. I got to trim some but the rest will have to wait until tomorrow. The good news is that the weather has turned for the better. No more mold after having cut out the bits I saw on the last check.
The 2 girls got the chop unceremoniously, with a Stanley knife.

This type of tool is known in British English, Australian English, New Zealand English and Dutch as a Stanley knife:

Got to check the other plants, and the Zamal has spiders all around. Theres about 20 colas all drooping down. They need to be staked to properly fill out, I think. I'll check out the home hardware store on the weekend, when I will also buy some jars to cure the SW and HB in.

Hey there, Saibai! Sorry to hear the mold and shitty weather has made it halfway around the globe.

If you're planning on getting greencure, remember it needs application frequently in rain. I went out to mine 3 times this past weekend to hit them up with the GC. That took care pf almost all of it. My buddy only used it once, at the end of the weekend, and he had much more than I.

Here's to hoping there's no more mold for the rest of the season!

Glad to hear your harvest is going well so far and that you only lost a little to mold. Those ninja boots must have been slip sliding away in the mud

For the green dragon I chopped dried & cured bud in a mason jar until it was a bit more than half full, then I add the alcohol and shake for less than a minute. I find that if I go longer then the color goes from amber to green tint and I prefer the amber. I then pour the alcohol through cheese cloth into another mason jar to remove large particles. The last step is placing a #2 coffee filter on top of yet another jar and then filtering it though. When done it goes back into the original alcohol bottle for use. The 750ml bottle gave a yield of 600ml of green dragon.

The oil's are thick in the mix so a shot leaves a film in the mouth that is rather strong tasting. After tasting the green dragon I can say it's strong and fast acting. I doubt I will use this method much more but am glad I gave it a try. I will stick with the more common ISO quick wash method for most of my honey hash making.

After all most of my results with that method give me this or better:


This is thick gooey honey that is like clay at room temp, melts and bubbles with clear domes and is good for smoking, cooking or in pill form.

kallie: lol, I know that pic makes me laugh too. It was originally collected from the hairdressers to keep deer/boar etc away from the plot. I don't think I needed it though.
