S2 seed question

I can't crush them with my finger.
Ha ha. Yes. The ‘pinch test’ is one of these grower myths that you see people posting evry now and then. It doesn’t mean the seeds are fully ripe if you can’t crush them with your fingers. i’m sure most 4-5 week old seeds are pretty tough to crush but they aren’t ripe at that point.

If you let your seeds mature on the plant for 10 weeks like Sam Skunkman did, you don’t need to do pinch tests cause they are fully ripe by then, guaranteed.

I don’t usually let my seeds go for 10 weeks, more like 8 to 9 most of the time. But usually i let them go for so long i don’t even need to check the calendar to see how long they have been on the plant because they have been maturing long enough for sure

I wasn't aware of that myth. It was just a quality I desire.
My seeds went 6 weeks on avg with bb Some probably hit the 7mark
Some hit the 8wk mark on WR.

I read 6weeks after pollinating was the number to hit and since my plant flowers very fast I felt comfortable chopping.

That's what I was thinking , I'll probably steer clear of those. I was just being optimistic 😂 🤷‍♂️
Yes, if you see any green tint on seeds some people are trying to sell you, steer clear, because it’s a clear sign the seed makers rushed things or donn’t fully know what they’re doing.

If the seeds are free then it’s worth to try and germinate them and see what comes up. The seed might still grow in to a gem even if the seed had some green hue on it.

Many times people mention 5 to 6 weeks for seed harvest but stress factors may come into play and mess things up.So It's better to go long than to harvest them too early by looking at the calendar.
Seeded plants don't need the best spot in the room during their later days and so you can put them little to the side for the last few weeks if you need the best spots for other plants. In any case, i like to keep my seeded plants a bit more further away from the light , or the light dimmed down a little, compared to unseeded plants to avoid stressing them with heat

Hi

I see some green tint on some of those seeds, which suggests that you harvested them a bit too early

maybe that’s one reason for poor germination

I remember reading that Sam Skunkman allowed seeds to mature for like ten weeks before harvesting them to make sure they are fully ripe and to have longer storage life.

Heres a look at seed quality. These were 100$ for a pack of 6(that luckily came with 8, and also came as a free pack along side my blueberry s1's I ordered)
Blue triangle by goat and monkey. I'd say my seeds are of the same quality if I culled them like a breeder would had for sales.

I'd say the upper three seeds have little lighter tone and maybe some pale greenish tint. other than that they look good.

Ha Ha Don't worry about it man. Either they germinate or they don't. Only one way to find out and don't throw them away with out trying.
But next time give them few weeks extra on the plant

It's easy to spot a wolf in sheep's clothing. You don't have to sit here and try to downgrade or downplay my situation at every turn.
You have nothing to worry about. I'm not stealing anyone's business or thunder.
The fact is the blueberry plant I have is absolutely fantastic, and I just want to share that with people.
It's one of the best things I've ever tasted and the high is extremely enjoyable, the yield is unbelievable and Incredibly fast.
Like I said it's fantastic.
Honestly I'd think breeders would want it, and homegrowers..Unless they hate mouthwatering blueberry terps.

photos and certain kind of lighting sometimes exposes color hues that aren't easily seen with naked eye. Seeds can still have pale color and signs of too early harvest even if the greenish hues aren't so apparent.

Next time you make seeds, give them 8 weeks on the plant and i'm sure you will see at least some difference in their maturity/color. Ofcource some seeds are naturally quite light in color but that case it's also easier to see the green tint of unripe seeds on them.

You seem to push lots of information out.. do you perhaps have another account with pictures or examples. I can't seem to find any on your account that's so very new...

You may need a new screen, video card on computer or eyes checked if your finding green again my man.. stop looking into the grow lights 😂

I think you're taking this the wrong way and way too personally

You were wondering about germination issues, i replied. You posted photos and asked about them, i replied. Don't ask if you don't want to know.Deal with it.

Enjoy your BB.

Thanks for coming. I don't appreciate new account hecklers. I guess move on and we can both go about our days
