Sounds good. I am doing ebb flow in Hydroton and my pH has been around 6.3 with the plants looking great. I don't adjust my pH at all and just let the nutes do the work.
Here's some better pics I took when my power "surged" today. I was sitting at the entrance of the tent watching the rez fill for one of the feedings, and the lights went off. Needless to say, there's a big storm around where I am. I took these pics with various settings on my camera. I'm at day 34 of flower.
FYI, these fans are not that good. Granted I am using this speed control with it. I've never had an elicent fan or any of the the top rated ones, so I guess I really can't compare this fan to those. The problem is that if you turn the dial down to anything less than full power, the fan gives off a high to deep "whistle". Like a high pitch humming noise. It's really aggravating. My fan is in the attic, so it's not audible to anyone in the house, but at night, when it's real quiet, you can hear it up in the attic, humming its' ass off. Even if you turn the fan on full, and go in the attic, the fan is loud as balls. I've only used this fan partially for a last grow, and there is definitely sounds of wear and tear. For my next grow, I'll be using this piece of shit as a back up. As for the speed control? It's VERY convenient...I love it.
Looking pretty good Rush! I would look into vortex fans. I got mine pretty cheap at mdhydro.com I run it full throttle, and although a little loud, you wouldn't know it's there unless you walked right up on it. I have the 6" 495cfm fan..
Hey everyone, I've been trying to tend to my up and down Chronic grow
Everything is hanging on, I'm just a little dissapointed in my approach to how I nuted the grow. I've been draining res's like a mofo, and have now come to the conclusion that a little is ALOT.
I now have just FN Bloom, Sweet, Hydroguard, and some Hygrozyme in the rez.
For my next grow, I think all I will use for the entire grow is just some grow and bloom(Floranova)
Hydro is tricky....def's show up real quick, and can be overwhelming if you have all sorts of shit in the res.
Anyway, they look good in the pics, but alot of the bigger fan leaves are really defecient. I'm just hoping to get to about 63 days, and then I will decide when to chop these ho's
i hear ya man, my larger fan leaves are either starting to show signs of burn or a def and it is really all of a sudden that it happened, i think i got it taken care of.
you will be gettin ripped off that chronic in the near future, smoke one for me when you do
it' got to be almost havest day? Just wanted to say great job for your first hydro grow, i'm (this summer)going to switch my soil to hydro, so all of this really helps me to understand what i'm about to face, so good luck and happy harvest.
peace
purce- always good to see ya, your always positive
mrgrowman- Here's my advice for a first time hydro grower.....keep it simple. The marketers for all these grow supply companys are targeting ME, and they've done an excellent job.
pico- what can I say bro? YOU'RE the man....If I can get where you are at with your grows/set up....it's all Floranova here on out!
I just cleaned the res out today about three times. Filled it with fresh water, added clearex, and then adjusted it to 6 on my PH meter. This picture here is one of 3 plants that I will wait 63+ days on.
Check out this psyco looking picture I took of one of the side branches.....it's my wallpaper now
I like this pic cause it shows how heavy the side branches are. It's like this all around the garden too. I had to climb through the hut and the table to get to the back so I could tie up some side branches that were hanging.
Here's the rest of the pics. You'll notice some of the colas that will be culled in about three days
Growing out a seed pack this way is NOT a good option. When you are dealing with various phenotypes, it's hard to adjust to each plants specific needs.
Having a mother plant with clones on the other hand and growing this way would be unbelievable.
I'll take individual plant shots when I pull 'em out the garden, so everyone can see how they look against a white wall.....shit, I wanna see too!
Nice monster colas! I think the screen takes a couple tries to get it right also, making dealing with all those phenos a bigger pain. You've done great though!
well rush , that was a great show and i cant wait to see the harvest shots, im about three weeks behind and my bagseed phenos cant even compare to the mass of nugget you got off those chronics, truly awesome
I chopped 'em all down right at 60 days. Could have let two of 'em go a little longer, but I said "fuck it"
Anyway, the hut doubles as an awesome drying room! Going to leave 'em alone for a week, and then I'll do a final manicure, paperbags, screens, jars, etc...
Anyone want to guess at how much it looks like? I'm hoping for a pound and then some. Could've gotten more if I had gotten control of the nute strength
