This fucking vote was rigged. I've been seeing signs of it for weeks. Anyone else who's been paying attention knows what I mean. The fake "threats" from "Anon" and "Occupy", the fake Santorum surge (really? he went from near last place to 8 votes away from first in a week? Blowing away Ron Paul, who is 10x as popular? No fucking way this actually happened.), the fake polls released and extensively pushed by the media which claim Romney to be in first place, despite lots of data (and other polls) to the contrary. That way it doesn't look so weird when he actually does "win" first place, right?

Then the icing on the cake of course was the votes being taken OUT of state to be counted....in Illinois....by hired and paid gangsters I'm sure.

I believe Ron Paul actually won this election....and I believe this is not the end to the vote rigging. I have no idea how deep the network of corruption in this country really goes; but if they can corrupt Florida (like in 2000), then every state is at peril. I really hope we don't have to bring out the guns next year.

Never said I'd vote for the guy. The OPso I gave him a name. Hell, by that standard, me's already a Santorum freak. I just don't think me knows what that stuff is yet.

It never flew. Anytime you have cartwheel flippers raising hell at members instead of promoting their own interests is hilarious.

All the commie crap is like TP with doodie on one side. It ain't worth trying to pick up and use again.

If you stands for nothing, you'll fall for anything...

Nobody knows what you (dogmadiscuit) stand for, but we do know your rhetoric!

This thread had a hard time flying due to the albatross around its neck!

Please remind me to keep on the issues gang:D That is where Ron Paul needs it too. Screw the status quo

If Ron Paul isn't elected.....Say hey to the same change as last time. OBAMA :( shit!

Ron Paul is the only one that wants to end the war...His biggest backers is our military but they can't ban together and show support like "superpacs", bankers, lobbyists, & other to many to name members of the status quo.....How can we help get the word out for our troops? I was thinking get the Ron Paul ground supports plan a march with the military family and friends to support them, since they can't really do a public show of support themselves, fighting a wars and military protocol (suppression) within the ranks! You know with all the wars, disinformation, slanderous rhetoric, media bias/blackout, $$$ & support for the status quo and so on.

I am amazed Dr. Paul got that much of the vote with 8 R candidates and no fair coverage. The warmongers, FOX, big banks etc. all support more war here (drug and etc) and abroad. I think that is where our candidate will make up the most ground....IF WE CAN FIND AN EFFECTIVE WAY TO GET THE MESSAGE OUT...............I wonder how many M. Romney supporters know how much support he gets from the thieves and alll that 16 trillion missing from the FED..

Thx Dr. Schroom

Quote:paul Supporter May Have Violated Military Protocol In Iowa
Earlier tonight, during Ron Paul's address to his supporters, the Texas congressman invited "Jesse Thorsen on stage to say a few words." CNN viewers met Thorsen earlier in the evening -- the tattooed soldier was interviewed by Dana Bash at a caucus site, at which time he expressed his support for Paul and the possibility of a "peacetime Army." (Thorsen, a corporal, told Bash that he had served for ten years, all during wartime.)
The interview was interrupted by unspecified technical issues. In this clip, uploaded to YouTube earlier tonight, the uploader speculates conspiratorially that the "technical issues" had everything to do with the fact that Thorsen was appearing in public, in uniform, expressing his support for Paul, in violation of military protocol. That might have been easy to dismiss -- until Thorsen appeared at the podium alongside Paul.
Military protocol is clear on the subject of how soldier can participate in political activity. Matthew Tully at the Army Times addressed this matter back in 2008, and summarizes the military protocol thusly: "Active-duty members may register, vote and express their opinions on political candidates and issues — but not as a representative of the armed forces. In other words, you cannot appear at any kind of political forum in uniform and speak on behalf of a particular candidate."
This is all spelled out in in detail in Defense Department Directive 1344.10:

Here is what read somewhere........under FAKE MITT ROMNEY SUPPORTS RON PAUlL...

Well, guys, you remember how they moved the Iowa vote count to a SECRET location. Well, the outcome of that secret counting is that Santorum!!!! Santorum is winning!!! WTF!!! Ron Paul was the clear winner. Sanatorium's surge was manufactured and fake - he was barely poling. The votes were fixed. How can people be so damn gullible and stupid to allow a secret fucking vote count. It would be laughable if it wasn't so tragic. Very disappointed with how fucking mindless and apathetic people are
I have to say it is fishy and predictable........Status quo

Ron Paul won 87% of Romney's vote. That's a good result considering Ron Paul was up against a resident of Iowa and another running endless attack ads. Not sure I'd want to be in the top spot this early, too many competitors with unlimited negative-ad potential. Besides, Iowa has picked 2 of the last 6 primary candidates and 1 of the last 6 GE candidates. Not exactly a barometer of the electorate.

Romney is bought and paid for. He has the most money and BIG money is behind him.

This is the way elections work. They are not fair and democratic...

Romney will win the nomination and lose the the GE to a candidate who has MORE money then him. Four more years for Obama I'm sorry to say...

Joseph W. McQuaid: Ron Paul is truly dangerous

Article 2:By JOSEPH W. McQUAID
New Hampshire Union Leader Publisher
Published Dec 29, 2011 at 3:00 am (Updated Dec 28, 2011) ShareThis

Ron Paul is a dangerous man. While his domestic libertarian views are quite attractive to some voters fed up with politics as usual, it is Paul’s position on issues of our national security that are truly dangerous. NOW SUPPORT THAT!

Those views have been largely overlooked by a news media more interested in the presidential “horse race” than in the candidates’ positions on issues. But we expect New Hampshire primary voters will examine the facts and act accordingly. I AGREE. NOT EVIDENCE THOUGH

A Wall Street Journal columnist notes that Paul is “a leading spokesman for, and recycler of, the long and familiar litany of charges that point to the United States as a leading agent of evil and injustice, the militarist victimizer of millions who want only to live in peace.” WHERE IS THE EVIDENCE? HE DON'T SAY USA IS PERFECT?

Perhaps this warped view is why Paul believes that al-Qaida terrorists caught in the United States ought to be treated as common criminals, not enemy combatants. He wants them read Miranda rights to which they are not entitled and he wants them tried and sentenced in civil courts rather than by military tribunals. WHO & WHAT DEFINE A TERRORIST? SINCE ANY AMERICAN BE PROCLAIMED A TERRORIST UNDER "PATRIOT ACT"? ...and then EXECUTED? MAYBE HE IS TRYING TO SAVE AMERICAN NOT TERRORIST

This is nothing short of nuts. What is needed to competently fight a war, and al-Qaida is indeed at war with us, is the ability to gather information. Telling the enemy that it has a “right to remain silent” is absurd. HHHMMM, OK I GUESS TORTURE THEM RIGHT? REMEMBER ANY AMERICAN CAN BE PROCLAIMED A TERRORIST

Paul believes that if a U.S. citizen throws in with al-Qaida or associated groups overseas, where he plots American death and destruction, we need to somehow find him, arrest him, and bring him back to stand civil trial here rather than eliminate him, even if that is the only option. YOUR RIGHT. HE IS A TERRORIST. KILL HIM. WHO DEFINED TERRORIST AGAIN?

We are in a much different kind of war than we have ever faced, but Paul doesn’t see it. He has repeatedly said that U.S. aggression is responsible for 9-11 and other attacks on America from radical jihadists. HE MAY HAVE A POINT ABOUT WHY THEY DON'T LIKE US... HE NEVER SAID IT WAS OUR FAULT.. AMERICA HAD TO BE ATTACKED BEFORE BUT NOT NOW (PEARL HARBOR)

He has repeatedly said that we should allow Iran to continue to develop a nuclear weapon. This is the same country whose leadership vows death to America, the “Satanic power,” and who wants Israel wiped from the map. HE HAS SAID THERE IS NO EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THEY HAD NUKES. HE EXPECTS PROPAGANDA, NOT THAT THE IRAQ WAR DIDN'T TURN UP NUKES

Never mind Paul being the favored candidate of the lunatic fringe (see white supremacists, anti-Semites, truthers, etc.). Never mind his refusal to disavow a third-party run (which would only help President Obama’s reelection). LUNATIC FRINGE? SOUNDS LIKE DOGMA. 3rd PARTY...WHY THE FUCK SHOULD HE SHOW/PLAY HIS "TRUMP CARD!" (HEHE) THAT IS WHY OBAMA WILL WIN IF YOU DON'T BACK HIM, NEOCON

His defenders say they admire Ron Paul’s “consistency.” It is true, Paul has been consistently spouting this nonsense. It is about time New Hampshire voters showed him the door. WHO IS CONSISTENT ON ISSUES? WHO IS CONSISTENT ON SPOUTING NONSENSE/DOGMA

This idea might not satisfy supporters with far more on their plate.

It has kept lawmakers from doing the right thing. Might also influence the electorate to squabble amongst ourselves as opposed to promoting real change.

There Is Only One Issue in America

I was obsessed with politics in the '80s. I've recovered and I'm feeling much better now thank you.

By the time I realized, as interesting as it was, I'd better stop this stuff and try to earn a living, I had discovered many of our social problems and quality of life issues could be traced to the same political source: our corrupt-by-definition electoral system. The solution to the problem was as easy to discover as the cause: The elimination of all private finance in the electoral process.

I was working doing most of my research in the area of our foreign policy since WWll, whatever fell under the umbrella of international liberation politics, but I examined and analyzed a fair amount of local issues as well.

I wanted to know how things work? Where's the power? Who's pulling the strings?

The economy of the world came down to the unholy trinity of guns, drugs and gasoline -- military industry, drugs (legal and illegal), and energy -- and now I would add agribusiness as the fourth controlling commodity, and always with the enabling bankers never too far out of sight making their profits far too often from wars and slave labor.

While that readily explained the suffering of the Third World, it didn't immediately answer why in America it was possible for so many people to be unhappy with our government's decisions, both foreign and domestic, when we're supposedly living in a democracy.

A quick analysis of our electoral process revealed the obvious answer. The simple fact is we do not live in a democracy. Certainly not the kind our Founding Fathers intended. We live in a corporate dictatorship represented by, and beholden to, no single human being you can reason with or hold responsible for anything.

The corporation has but one obligation, which is to increase profits for it's shareholders by any legal means necessary by the next fiscal quarter.

They have no moral, patriotic, social, environmental, generational or even sustainable responsibility. They have only a short-term economic mandate and their only responsibility to society is to stay within the law to accomplish it.

This doesn't mean corporations shouldn't exist or even that their directors are evil by their very DNA. It has been a legally acceptable basic flaw in the form of our capitalist system that allows corporations to operate without a moral compass or obligation to society -- but that's a discussion for another day.

The law is rarely a problem because the corporations' legal obligations are pretty much designed first and foremost for their maximum profit by the legislation created by the legislators belonging to our two national political parties, both of which are wholly bought, sold and controlled by Wall Street. The banks and the corporations. In other words the game is rigged. Feel like a sucker? We all do because we all are.

The manipulation, aided by a very willing media also owned by the corporations, has made things easier beginning with what has become the amazing Orwellian staple of every newscast, selling the public on the lie that the Dow has somehow become America's scoreboard!

We're all hypnotized, rooting for them like they're our home team at a football game, cheering for THEIR scoreboard mindlessly forgetting WE'RE THE AWAY TEAM!!

You think your congressman is working all day to get you a job? He may want to. He or she is probably not a bad person. They probably want to do the right thing. But they can't. Long-time Capitol Hill staff and campaign strategists tell me the average legislator spends one-third of their time (or more) every day raising money or on activities related to raising money.

Yes, they are "elected" which creates the mass delusion of democracy to keep the masses from rioting, but congressional races are costing millions of dollars and some Senate seats are going for tens of millions each, and they're predicting well over one billion dollars for the next presidency.

That's some democracy we've created there, isn't it?

Of the people?

By the people?

For the people?

What people?

Democracy in America is a sick joke and the masses aren't laughing anymore.

Yes, we can demonstrate. We can march. We can write and sign petitions to our Representatives. We can occupy.

And we should because it's healthy to vent, and we don't feel so all alone. But the truth is, other than the value of venting, we're wasting our time. It is naïve to expect political results from any of these activities.

Our representative can give us lip service. A lot of sympathy. Empathy even. But we don't pay their media bills, gabeesh?

We need to eliminate all private finance from the electoral process.

And let's not be distracted by "reforms." Let's spare ourselves the unnecessary discussions about transparent disclosure, or the conflict of interest of foreign countries buying favorable treatment, or protection after protection being gutted by dangerously diluted regulations, or trying to impose this limit or that limit, etc., etc., etc.

Campaign finance doesn't need reform. It needs elimination.

To accomplish this we must overturn Buckley v. Valeo, one of the two or three worst decisions in the history of the Supreme Court.

The ruling makes the extraordinary decision that money is protected by the First Amendment.

Presumably Chief Justice Gordon Gekko presiding!

These smartest guys in the room actually decided that spending money is the equivalent of free speech. You might wonder why no one in that smart room stood up and said wait a minute, if money is speech, isn't lack of money lack of speech?

You know, as in the rich get to talk, and the poor don't? How are the non-moneyed classes represented by this decision?

I guess nobody stood up then, but it's time to stand up now.

In fact, I am now introducing a new pledge to be signed by our legislators. Of both parties. Indies too. Everybody's welcome.

THE PLEDGE FOR A DEMOCRATIC AMERICA

(We'll need someone more educated than me to draw it up, or we can copy Grover Norquist's anti-tax pledge, but it would go something like this.)

I, The Undersigned, pledge to overturn Buckley v. Valeo and eliminate all private finance from the electoral process, thusly restoring America to it's democratic principles. I may take corporate, PAC, SuperPAC, or Chinese money to get elected or reelected (martyrdom accomplishes nothing), but upon my election I will make campaign finance elimination one of my immediate top priorities.

Now somebody should be starting a new Third Party whose platform is dedicated to this one idea. Twenty-five years ago that's what I'd be doing right now.

But,the need for a Third Party aside, this idea applies for everyone. Just as much for the Tea Party on the right as the 99 Percenters on the left (the corporate oligarchy actually has no Party affiliation, it just looks Republican).

Both groups should adopt this issue. The Occupiers need not agree on anything else, because frankly nothing else matters, and a bit more focus on the root of our problems for the Tea Party certainly wouldn't hurt them either.

Let's see who's serious about representing the "people."

And you know what?

We might be pleasantly surprised at how many congressmen and senators sign this thing who would rather be doing something more dignified with their lives than spending half their time begging for money.

Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich GOP ticket?
By Joy Freeman-Coulbary

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (Ohio). (Melina Mara - THE WASHINGTON POST) As a progressive, a Ron Paul/Dennis Kucinich presidential ticket would stoke my fires. It might also attract Republicans who long for the party’s non-interventionist, fiscally conservative roots.

This week, Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) said U.S. Rep. Ron Paul’s (R-Texas) “views on foreign policy are more in line with liberal anti-war Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) than with the Republican Party.”

It was meant as a diss. But Santorum just may have won Paul more converts. Why not put the two peace-loving, civil-liberty-favoring, avant garde congressmen together on a ballot?

Merging polar opposite sides of the political spectrum could be one of the most politically pure, bipartisan ideological unions yet. Through that union, political dualities would ideologically balance each other out, appealing to divergent ends of the political spectrum.

If elected, Paul has said he would consider Kucinich for his cabinet.

On New Year’s Eve, President Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act, despite “serious reservations.” The act makes it legal to indefinitely hold Americans in military detention. We may be fast approaching an Orwellion reality: “War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery; Ignorance is Strength.”

Paul and Kucinich both oppose the NDAA, which Paul calls a “slip towards tyranny.” Kucinich has been a consistent advocate for peace in the U.S. Congress, stated before the House of Representatives in recent weeks that the “bill authorizes permanent warfare anywhere in the world.”

Apparently, the youthful and invigorated “Paulbots” agree and are more interested in nation building here than abroad. Along with bringing back into the fold discontented youth and progressives, Democrats must come to terms with articulating a coherent and consistent message on war spending, which is at odds with promoting civil and human rights.

Then there’s the war on drugs waged in the ghettos of America—disproportionately impacting people of color and the poor; however, supported by leading Democrats, is highly criticized by the Libertarian Paul.

On Nightline, after the Iowa caucuses, one young Ron Paul volunteer in Iowa said because she believed that her generation would fare worse economically than her parent’s generation.

And she hopes that Paul could help keep that from happening.

Who is the racist?

You start out in 1954 by saying, “Nigger, nigger, nigger.” By 1968 you can't say “nigger” — that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now [that] you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites. And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I'm not saying that. But I'm saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me — because obviously sitting around saying, “We want to cut this,” is much more abstract than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than “Nigger, nigger.” - Lee Atwater
Interview with Alexander P. Lamis (8 July 1981), as quoted in The Two-Party South (1984)‎ by Alexander P. Lamis; originally published as an interview with an anonymous insider, Atwater was not revealed to be the person interviewed until the 1990 edition
