Republican Executive Committee Member Calls for Resignation of RNC Chairman Reince Priebus

Due to an alleged violation of the national GOP's Rule # 11 (bans favoritism of one candidate while more than one candidate exists), an Executive Committee member within the GOP calls for the resignation of RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.

Washington, DC, May 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Jeffrey Bales, a Member-at-Large of the Pima County GOP Executive Committee (Tucson, Arizona), says:

“Due to violation of the RNC's Rule #11, I call for Chairman Reince Priebus to resign immediately. It is un-American and beneath the standards established by the Republican Party to violate this rule. It is unethical to support a single Republican Presidential candidate (Mitt Romney) while other Republican candidates remain in the race.

"Further, I call upon Mitt Romney to denounce this behavior and ask that the RNC repair the breach of trust by including the other remaining Republican Presidential candidate, Dr. Ron Paul, in any dispensation of funds, effort and labor. It would benefit all Americans if Mitt Romney would further clarify the fact that 2 candidates remain if he challenged Dr. Ron Paul to a debate."

Rule #11 states:
"Rule No. 11 Candidate Support
(a) The Republican National Committee shall not, without the prior written and filed approval of all members of the Republican National Committee from the state involved, contribute money or in-kind aid to any candidate for any public or party office except the nominee of the Republican Party or a candidate who is unopposed in the Republican primary after the filing deadline for that office. In those states where state law establishes a nonpartisan primary in which Republican candidates could participate, but in which the general election may not include a Republican candidate, the candidate endorsed by a convention held under the authority of the state Republican Party shall be recognized by the Republican National Committee as the Republican nominee.

(b) No state Republican Party rule or state law shall be observed that allows persons who have participated or are participating in the selection of any nominee of a party other than the Republican Party, including, but not limited to, through the use of a multiparty primary or similar type ballot, to participate in the selection of a nominee of the Republican Party for that general election. No person nominated in violation of this rule shall be recognized by the Republican National Committee as the nominee of the Republican Party from that state."

Official RNC rules are available online at: http://www.gop.com/images/legal/2008_RULES_Adopted.pdf

This call for resignation is based upon statements released by the RNC on 4/25/12 that said,

“Governor Romney’s strong performance and delegate count at this stage of the primary process has made him our party’s presumptive nominee,” Mr. Priebus said. “In order to maximize our efforts I have directed my staff at the R.N.C. to open lines of communication with the Romney campaign.”

and

“It’s my intention to have a seamless and complete merger between the presumptive nominee and the Republican National Committee,” Mr. Priebus said. “That means political, communications, fund-raising, research and the chairman’s office, along with the governor’s main operational team, are completely merged.”

Jeffrey Bales is available for commentary.

URGENT: "Ron Paul delegates may have found a way to even the odds with abstention"

Hold on to your seats....

http://www.examiner.com/article/ron-paul-delegates-may-have-...

The 2012 Republican nomination for president is now down to two candidates, Ron Paul and Mitt Romney. Newt Gingrich is expected to suspend his campaign on Tuesday, leaving his campaign over 4 million dollars in debt. The Republican National Committee endorsed Mitt Romney last week, on the very day that the Gingrich campaign started to discuss exiting the race.

Ron Paul supporters will not let this news get them down. In fact, supporters of the 12-term Congressman from Texas have continued to grasp delegate positions in states where, despite the caucus winners, delegates are unbound. There are thirty states where delegates are able to vote for whomever they chose, regardless of primary and caucus results.

"The dirty little secret is: At the end of the day, these guys and gals can vote any way they want," said a Republican who has attended national conventions for decades. "Each state has different (laws) on pledged delegates."

Ron Paul supporters claim to be dedicated to a movement, not a candidate, and have announced they will support "no one but Paul". They have currently been discussing whether bound delegates may legally abstain from voting in the first round of voting at the Republican convention.

The act of abstention is when a participant in a vote is present for the roll call before the vote, but then purposefully casts either a blank vote or marking the ballot incorrectly.

In many cases, the abstention of voting may be considered an act of protest. In fact, during the Republican National Convention in 2008, 14 delegates did not vote. These delegates were present during the roll call, but would not vote for any of the candidates at the time.....

With delegates abstaining, this could change drastically. Mitt Romney could get five votes, Ron Paul would maintain his five votes, and five voters would abstain. As long as all the abstentions had participated in the roll call, no one would win the 50% +1 votes needed to become the nominee and on to the next round and a brokered convention.

This was a considered option for Hillary Clinton supporters in the 2008 election and was widely discussed. The question remains will delegates be kicked out of the convention if they abstain from voting.

RNC for Life discusses, state by state, how many delegates are bound and how many are unbound after the primaries, but it has no mention of the Republican state laws regarding abstaining from voting.

There are fines of up to $1,000 for "faithless electors" who do not vote as bound, and many are considering this to apply to the Republican National Convention. These are not applicable.

An elector is not a delegate. An elector is a member of the Electoral College, voting in the final election.

Many in the Republican Party are "outraged" at this suggestion by Ron Paul supporters. They dislike the concept of these "Ron Paul Republicans" breaking the party's rules to support their candidate.

However, Ronald Reagan's campaign considered the exact same option in 1976. Check out this 1976 headline: "Reagan Forces May 'Steal' Ford Votes".

"In secret strategy sessions, Reagan aides have toyed with the idea of asking delegates to abstain as long as their state laws require them to honor the primary verdicts. This would prevent the President from riding up an early-ballot victory. Then, in subsequent ballots, they could legally switch to Reagan."

"5.2 "Certified delegate" shall be defined for the purposes of the Plan as having been certified as acceptable by a qualifying Presidential Candidate's state committee, or such presidential candidate's representative on the Allocation Committee, if any. If neither exists, then the delegate may be certified by the Allocation Committee. In the case of a protest or an appeal, the Allocation Committee's ratification or reversal shall be final. An elected delegate shall not be denied certification by a qualifying Presidential Candidate's state committee, or such presidential candidate's representative on the Allocation Committee, if any, without just cause. Any such proposed denial of certification will not be effective unless upheld by a majority vote of the Allocation Committee."

Is this anybody's first primary, so far as perennial aspects tend to go? Arcane rules are interpreted, executed and challenged pretty much every election. As a matter of fact, media has reported that party leaders may take steps to mitigate potential rules violations by the Paul camp. Even if it doesn't go well for Paul, it's not necessarily indication of intent.

It's pretty much like allowing the umpires to decide with the inevitable albeit occasional, "You cheated!" coming from the stands.

the problem is they made the rules and are working with a camp. and they lost and want to take their ball home, hopefully they challange it with the vague term "just cause" mabey it will take a few more states where lawyers show up dictating things for anything to happen,or challange their ruling in tampa, where i beleive the national committie rules, trump those of state, but i honestly havnt looked them up yet.

For sure.

Yeah. Let them try to say RON PAUL is doing something illegal. We (RP Supporters) will come out in mass and expose the truth, just like we are doing online. They are pissed because we are awake and fighting back using the same system they were going to exploit., except we want freedom and not world domination. This is nothing new as REGAN did the samething......Ron Paul is gonna win this as he is the one that would be elected out right if not for all the voter fraud....It's harder to steal the delegates though and Ron Pual knew it and his people came out to fill the spots, ALL LEGIT!!! LOOK IT UP! We can abstain too and if that's what it takes to take our country back from the lying cheating sell out self serving chumps, that's just what we will do. If they don't like it they can jump of a bridge or move to China.

What more can you do than reference facts to support conclusions?
Draw conclusions from the facts.

The collapse after '08 shown in this graph is perhaps because the economy is dead and people are giving up looking for work only not to be counted in the "official" unemployment stats. Or perhaps because the baby boomers are really starting to roll out of the labor force. Or a combination both IMO. The end result is less people working supporting an unsustainably growing welfare (corporate and social) and warfare state.

And what the interest rates will be to fund all this.

US Wages are at an all time low compared to all other expenses.

The reason there is less labor force is becuase Bush and Obama are trying to create dependant morons so they can contol them all. They created over 80,000 new laws in the last year or so and none of them help anybody but Corpo RATIONS!

Ron Paul is an illuminati plant. He is an admitted freemason. He exists only so people will rally behind him so people wont get behind a real freedom fighter.

Yall are being played.

Think about it.
