I believe he was referring to fentanyl. So, context is important. Fentanyl killed more people in the US than "COVID" (if I'm not mistaking). What is the source of the quote? Is this when he was trying to get countries in Asia to impose the death penalty for fentanyl traffickers? Fentanyl is not a drug, so much, as it is a chemical weapon. So, think of it more like, "people who sell chemical weapons illegally should be given the death penalty." And technically, that is basically how international laws of armed conflict treat the matter.

All, in all, more context is needed.

I gave him specific researchable and verifiable references re. court prescedents re. privacy, including a case citation and one State's Constitutional reference to privacy by way of specific amendment (which has protected both cannabis AND abortion in that State), and the how and why, and he responded that it can't be true, and a nonsequitor rebuttal involving sea turtle eggs. Never once asked or researched the standard known as 'compelling interest' that is required to be met in order for that state to intervene in private matters.

Well, he makes a lot of good points and in the context of chemical warfare, maybe it is appropriate. It depends. I'm not in favor of the death penalty for drug dealers. But, I do like that he mentioned doctors being held accountable...

The war on drugs was a legislative war against the people. Trump as Commander In Chief is the leader of the military. He has duties and obligations to uphold national security via national defense. So, there is criminal law and military law. Two different things. Either way, I don't have to agree with him on this. I do see where he is coming from though. Whether or not this will be part of the MAGA agenda or not remains to be seen. Trump is sometimes purposefully and deceptively vague. So, it will be up to him to further clarify who he is talking about. He may be talking about wealthy families that knowingly encouraged doctors and the entire medical industrial complex to over prescribe oxyconton and deny real treatment for the purpose of making obscene amounts of money to destroy lives and kill millions of Americans. The Deep State could hide an entire holocaust under the disguise of 'over-prescribing' opiates. Couldn't they?
