risk a truck or buy a prius?

Fuck a Prius. Fuck renting a truck. Buy your own truck and rent it out to others, if you live in an area full of chumps who rent trucks. A Prius is a liability, but a good truck is an asset. Diesel is nice but gasoline isn't going anywhere, and small trucks get pretty good mileage. $2k will buy one hell of a used Ford Ranger or S10 or Tacoma and you can spend the rest on your boat or whatever, instead of flushing it down the drain on a Prius.

Tough decision. What would you do? Risk a boat and a truck or go with the Prius and find a new hobby?

Buy a used truck and boat.

Buying new these days is retarded. Older vehicles with less smog crap get excellent gas milage. Do the research and find a vehicle that will work for your needs, is rebuildable and has readily available parts.

Some of the late 70's and early 80's vehicles are excellent on gas, plenty of power and inexpensive.

A prius? Give me a break. My 83 Subaru gets 2/3rds the gas mileage of a prius and cost me $1000.

People are really separated from reality these days.
