Ridiculous problem..need expert opinions..Maybe some kind of poisoning from vinyl?

If your plants are sick and now another strain at another spot is also sick and you are the common thread in the skein I'd say You carried whatever you have to your boys spot . Stop visiting friends that grow. If it's a bacteria or fungi that's probably how you got it too.

hereisssh - so you are also sure the symptoms are a lot like mine? you looked up the HH syndrome on other threads and saw their pics right? because their symptoms are quite different from mine, it basically turns all their new growth white whereas mine is causing all sorts of other symptoms instead. I hope they are the same, just so we can hopefully finally have figured out what is causing the problems. If yours are more like the other HH syndrome people's though, please let me know as well...the more information I get the better.

Weedman - I've thought of that over and over but the problem effects my leaves, all in different ways, and my roots. H2O2 and zerotol both did nothing to help my roots, and the way it just stops when I turn back to 12/12, or the way less light *helps* somewhat, kind of makes me think thats not the case. Plus, I go to my 2 friends house that use less efficient hoods and no CO2...so you would think I carried the fungus or bacteria there, but they dont have the problems. Also last cycle I took my sickest plant and put it in a DWC bucket at one of those friends house and it completely stopped showing the symptoms. He was even using the same nutrient formula as me.

SO damn confusing heh.

I've reread your post and I want to reread the HH syndrome posts before I comment further. There are differences and similarities that I'll post after I get home later. This is a sensitive subject, as lots of folks use similar materials and I want to make sure I'm clear.

I used to use dry ice years ago, I would take a 60 lb. block into my basement and break it up in front of a fan lol - I know it sounds insane and it was but it never hurt my plants, it could have killed me if I didn't get out fast enough though. . .

If you are still getting a harvest your symptoms are not as severe as mine were, but I had the vinyl in contact with the nutrient solution so it would have been worse. I used to say my plants had a Grey color and a dry feel to them. Also I couldn't raise the lights any more because I only had a 6 foot tall ceiling.

I used to use a real high ec when starting flowering and - even now in soil I use about 2.6 to 3.2 ec in veg and never have a problem. The light at your friend who is having problems may be too close or too many hours of light or the humidity is too low or all 3, and it just looks similar to your plants? Are his symptoms as severe as yours? Can he raise his lights another 10 inches and give them only 16 or 17 hrs of light and see if the symptoms go away?
