Some Vietnamese buds from a contact I have there.... hopefully he will send me some bagseeds soon! :) He told me that most of the high grade stuff comes from Da Lat, Bac Lao, Lam Dong (south) and Quang Ninh or Ha Noi at the north. Funny thing is that most people there is growing indoors with led lamps stuff like AK47, White Widow, Kush, etc... while the farmers in the mountains grow local sativas to feed their animals and cook sometimes. At least it seems it's still easy to find decent local buds:

I've been beating the "chunky nugs wid a sativa high" bushes for a while.

the most promising to me right now is the Haitian out of nanan bouclou (southern star seeds).

I've got some pics in my albums but I can't get url copy feature on my new windows 7 upgrade yet from my migration from windows xp.

I've got several of my Haitian pheno clones outdoors. the 50/50 Haitian/png phenol of nana bouclou also loods very promising. post #33 on the southern star seeds thread shows a pic from indoor seed and early appraisal run: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=250938&page=3

the Haitian pheno looks like it has indica influence in it's genetics. many strains considered to be sativas such as most Colombians look like they had some early indica influence as well.

the point is to find some chunky indica nugs with the uplifting, energetic sativa high effects. use these genetics to beef up some extreme sativas without losing the desireable sativa highs. this is especially important to me in trying to develop some commercial cash crop strains with sativa attributes smoke wise.

Haitian looks the most promising from the different strains I've worked with. she has a great, powerful high that is very focusing (good for work, study environments). you can't tell the user is high. good long duration of high and pretty darn potent. got good frost potential.

i'll post pics this fall.

Very nice plants, mj. Your girls look very healthy and way further along than any of my plants.

I like that wrap you did on your smartpots....is that panda film?

Ya a few years back. I'm made a few goo crosses, in fact yesterday I dusted a Black Rose with some big daddy Frost pollen.
So far the best cross was with a Columbian Gold/Dawg X mr Frost. Aloha

How does the frost flavor come through in the cg/dawg cross? I'm hopping to add a sweetness to the frost in my thai82 cross.

I used a Frost male and he change what was a pretty traditional Columbian Gold flav to more lighter and several different flavs about 3 different tasting plants. Hope you understand what I mean. If you need more Frost to play with PM me. Aloha DB
