Yah, i suppose...just leery of having threads yoinked. I've tried thinking of a couple of ways of saying what it is without actually saying (after things left positronics, it didn't end up in production in too many places - saying what it isn't would say what it is) but that's probably too cute by half.

Again, fairly sure i got these at the Bou, but...it doesn't look like seedboutique/seedbay carry Seedsman anymore. I suppose that's telling without telling, or maybe it's not. I guess I'll find out ;)

As to what she's all about - finishes in 10-11 weeks, stretches 7 weeks. her smell during the cotton-ball generation phase has a bit of fuel-oil/lamp-oil sweet smell. After the buds start finishing there are hints of a spiciness.

The overall aroma/taste when consuming her is just confounding. when folks describe pot, typically characteristics are described in terms of not-pot. sandalwood, or spicey, or like lemons, cherry, or just general 'fruit', sour, or fuel...but the overwhelming taste and smell of this lady when cured/consumed is 'awesome pot'. there are hints of tastes present, but the over riding all consuming flavor is 'great pot'. there just aren't other touchstones or other flavors to reach for.

The buzz has about a 3-4 hour arc - there's an initial grin/head change, and within 5 to 10 minutes there's a whole different layer of buzz that creeps in. the body effect is 'light limbs' floaty, the head effect is well suited to 'get up and do something, and enjoy doing it a lot more than you probably would otherwise'. if you haven't smoked anything else by about hour 3 or 4, the bottom falls out and you could wake up on the kitchen floor if you're not careful. it just has an appreciable crash if the buzz isn't maintained.

i suppose the best way to describe it is...i've spectated somebody partaking of this lady, and half an hour later they were having an entirety too involved conversation with their microwave. that example pretty much explains her as well as i can ;)

Looks like you have a great pheno wherever you got her from gdtrfb. Too bad we all can't just log into the boo and buy packs. That is the world of marijuana though. Sometimes you win the seed lottery and other times you just get some pot to smoke. Thanks for the words and pictures.

Durban bagseed after 11 weeks of flowering. Soda can for a size reference, import U.S. soda so you don't think I'm cheating with some tiny European can. :biglaugh:

Initially i thought you're talking Reeferman but then i noticed they don't do Seedsman any longer wich is a loss really, i have been growing their OHaze for quite a few times now, i stiil didn't find such a nice pheno as you got there but i will keep looking for it :)

VanVulpen, nice malawi how she smells?

She has a very pleasant lemony scent just like the Afropips version i had two years ago, from what i could gather the high is also similar dreamy and happy although i am expecting something more powerful now that she's reflowering... will get some more pics tonight, stay safe :)

Sometimes you win the seed lottery
That describes it exactly - her growth/timing was enough of a surprise, but after the first puff, I knew me and this plant were due to be friends for awhile.

her baby picture

the tail end of the original 'mom' plant at least 7 cut 'generations'/cycles ago

(you can tell she's since trained me to treat her better ;) )

what strain is that?....its f.in huge
Original Haze

Wow gdtrfb now there's a sight for sore eyes!
especially if you poke them with one of those spears :blackeye:

She's way outside the norm from what I've seen as well - just being absolutely happy with 12 hour days was an anomaly compared to her siblings, the growth habits and bud structure on top of that were unique. The hunt is half the fun, but 'finding' aint shabby either ;)

figured a shortened timeline of the explosion stage on this grow might be entertaining - the following are at day 1 of 12/12, day 17, 23, and then day 45 (the 6 buckets on the left are Ohaze, the 2 on the right aren't)

Once upon a time I grew some sativas

Once upon a time I grew some sativas

Though I could not vouch for their purity..... But they looked the part.

The first, was "Jimz". (Because a Jim did give it to me)

This wonderous plant, Oh how I wish I had cloned it etc.... It had a smell all of its own. I had smelt similar 'tones' in other varieties, but this was very particular.... It had a stong smell of 'bat guano' that extended for metres before you got to the patch, even before it had flowered..... But when the trichomes came about, there was a strange (to me anyway) sweet lemony/mango smell (which was/is quite common in my area) with strange 'undertones' of an almost pungent sweet/sour 'candy-like' smell which I find hard to describe just now....

It had a hard life, germinating out of a mix I had thrown out (after thinking all had sprouted) and came up in a spot where I found I had trodden on it a few times.... (before I realised it was a cannabis seedling and potted it up)

Anyway, enough reminiscing, heres some pictures...

And another from my old gallery: The O.R.S. (Old Random Sickness)

Another story, too, sorry....

This plant came from some seeds I'd kept from at least 5 years before they were planted, no Idea where they were from except that I got them in some buds i'd got locally. (but local people still do/did travel to get a better price etc.)

There were 3 plants from this lot of seed that ended up germinating, one was a male hermaphrodite, and the other never had the vigour that the best one had, and also had little smell....

The best (the one pictured below) grew about 6ft tall, with 4-5 side branches of between 2-3 ft. (although it was tied down...so it looks only about 4-5ft) I didn't really weight it, but it yeilded fairly well.... And above all, was not affected by mould, even after heavy rains.... (I would go and shake them off after a shower when possible.....)

Anyways, I'm tiring of talking about these long gone plants.... (I miss them so!)

I'm venturing out of my comfort zone with MNS Super Silver Haze. The lack of comfort is because this will be a Scrog and I'm not sure how this will go. I'll be looking through this thread and others.

So far I understand I'll stick with a 2-3 week veg, then head straight to flower. I'm be topping and LST.

600W HPS (blue Hortilux) with augmented UV-B

I could tolerate 3-4' of height and that's it. Worked well with my last Sat dominant Purple Diesel

I think I'm most concerned about one going hermie on me.

Hi folks
Thought I would share a strain that I've been messing around with, here's the facts:
strain: (skunk x malawi) x (diesel x swazi)
vegged for one week under a 42 watt cfl in a 16oz beer cup
placed into 12/12 under a 150 watt hps in a 6 inch pot.
She had to be LST'd some to control height. Currently she is @ 18 inches AFTER being bent over.
No smell has of yet other than the fresh plant smell.
I have 3 growing using different methods to see how she responds.
Here she is:
