Revival of the Ultimate Sativa Thread

I think TFD Haze Mist and SamS Cultivator's Choice Kerala Haze are the same line sold under different names --- this happens a lot I think

I'm not sure which Mazar-i-Sharif phenos my friend dusted --- but he described them as very big yielders with dense hashy buds and good potency... I think the idea was for them to be outdoor plants for 19 degrees N, a relatively dry air region of the tropics

Here are some pics of The Real Seed Co Lebanese - September 13th, colours and buds developing

Very nice Lebs, I wish I could get some from RSC along with the Kerala no can do in California.

Here is a Lebanese sativa, very narrow leaves not flowering yet. I hope to get those beautiful colors that are shown in some of your pictures, thanks for sharing Ngakpa.

Hi Mota de Dios --- RSC Lebs and Neps are available as freebies by request from Seedbay and Seedbou... if feedback is positive they should then go up for sale

All Best,

Here is an unusual male Congo Black Congolese sativa I have going. Look at those cabbage leaves for a sativa.

Hi HashMonkey --- at the minute there are a handful of The Real Seed Company Nepalese and Lebanese available as freebies by request with orders from Seedbay and Seedbou... I will be sending in more later in the year as feedback comes back... Assamese and Kullu Jungli are not for sale at the minute

RSC Nepalese - wld (wide leaflet dom) pheno --- "indica" pheno

September 16th, something like 43N

Burningfire writes: the aromas are sweet, spicey with orange undertones. the WLD nepalese has very sweet aromas, I'm expecting the orange undertones to develop in the next few weeks.

All Best,

Namkha

full plant pic and other earlier pic are from a few weeks previous

ok that's a shame, i really am looking for wild strains that would possibly yield high levels of CBD. At the moment i am working with mazarisharif which is not exactly a wild strain but hopefully i can find a good chemotype. This is not the RSC mazar. Its from someone else but the seeds were collected in afghanistan.

Would it be possible to find CBD yielding chemotypes in sativa (aka narrow leaf indica) strains? i'm gathering the wild sativas would be a better place to look as they have not been heavily selected for a "high" and not been bred for high THC.

this thread has been and is amazing, so i though it was my turn to contribute. i'm growing a selection of lebanese cheese (exodus cheese x leb27) f2's i made last season from f1's kindly donated to me by a member here. they are not strictly sativa, but i would say at least 60/40 satriva dom, if not more. they are being grown outdoor in a suburban london uk garden, and i'm VERY happy :D:D:D.

from the left: sensi star x cheese/leb f1, lebanese cheese f2, biddy's sis x cheese/leb f1, then 3 more lebanese cheese f2's. all in all 6 plants in 4 pots.

and a night shot of the moost stand out pheno of the lebanese cheese, although there are 3 different plants in view!

Hi Hashmonkey --- yeh, the consensus is that hashish genepools and feral genepools are good places to look for CBD

ngakpa, always good to see you involved here!

I've been buying seeds more than usual, server fund specials, trying to do my part w/o sending them $ directly. (got snakebit when I sent in $ for a "lifetime membership" to OG and they got their plug pulled a mo. later. )

Anyway, I always request certain freebies, never get them, always the Mazi or PPP. So I got an order today and I got a pk of your Leb! :jump:
Can this be tamed indoors?
BTW, I'm revisiting my "going african" dream this winter, inside, my 1st shot @ pure sativa's indoors. Stay tuned...

Viva Oaxaca!

Viva Oaxaca!

Forgive the over-excitement, but I visited my outdoor patch again today, and the Highland Oaxacan Gold is already flowering, and according to my calculations, triggered around the 6th-10th September - at 53°N! Which means an end of November finish date.

That might sound late, but it should be more resistant to damp conditions than the more indica specimens, and my spot is very sheltered from cold North-East wind and rain due to the steep slope (and most plants are behind trees, and facing South-West). So I'm really, really pleased to see actual buds on this - and already slightly purple too - who woulda thunk it? :)

elevator man - :D when i used to live in the south of UK, it was possible to find any thing from lemontrees to fig trees and resistant palmtrees even.

im sure in the south of UK with luck it might be possible to flower those well. looking forward to see how they go :D

peace

hey motaco, i just read a book that i've been meaning to read for a long time: really the blues by mezz mezzrow, a white jazz musician who was the biggest weed dealer to the jazz scene in harlem in the 1920's. he says that the best weed then was the "golden leaf" from mexico. he describes the low grade weed as being brown and powdery.

Project : Bagseed

Project : Bagseed

Reading through this thread has made me rethink the extra bagseed I got. My plan is to germ a seed and give it a month, and if it doesn't already have trichs on it, then its gone. This way I won't waste time on crap genetics and only work with something special. Maybe I can find a great mexican pheno in the brick!:joint:
