that was around 80 days, I didn't run this a friend did he did my other gear too but he didn't want to invest the time in this one... it was too spindly and slow for him. unfortunately he killed it, I don't know if he sampled it.

but I know he used pollen with a male to make seeds with a gg4.. so that should be interesting.

Nice destroyer BB, I had to look up the genetics of it as I wasn't sure - Thai x Mex/Colo - I would be going pollen crazy too :)

yea perked my ears up too ,
i love them wild rides ,, hehehe ..

its not for everyone ...

I mostly enjoy reading about wild rides these days, there was a time when I enjoyed ordering from a soda machine thinking I was on some alien planet, or rampaging through the woods like a wild animal haha...

Good description, I've found the feel good sativa effect from most landrace provided it was outdoor grown and fully mature/cured.
I would reccomend:

- Ethiopian highland
- Purple peace
- Lebanese sativa pheno

They can all be trippy strains yet more subtle and balanced in the uplifting effect, rather than grip you by the balls types (Zamaldelica?), generally speaking of course.

This is a gorgeous and very Thai-like looking plant:

Nice job!

The comments of Zamaldelica are cracking me up. Some sound like the Thai of old that I'm yearning for, the ones that scare people off. Most people didn't like the Thai sticks because they were too intense. I only felt thrilled/scared for an hour until it peaked. The 4+ hour come down was most blissful to me. You know, like after the skydive has completed successfully, and you find you are still alive.

I grew one Zamaldelica, and it seemed to be the more introspective and slightly mushroom like high one. I have had the seeds for awhile, I need to explore them further. Next indoor flowering, for sure!

I wonder how much circumstance influences perception. You know, the whole set & setting thing as it applied to dropping acid long ago. Back then it was easy to get paranoid because there really were people out to get you. Living in Colorado I have a tough time getting paranoid about cannabis at all. The high might be the same but the headset is different so the perceived effect may also be different.

That may not apply where you live, of course.

Setting, mood, etc. has a definite influence. That is why I love being outdoors in nature on a nice day when smoking the good stuff. I have had enough experience to understand the differences. I've been smoking for 49 years.

Call me a snowflake but I learned a long time ago whenever I try something new that I've been told is "fire", I make sure I'm not stressed, in a good place mentally and I tend to create a great indoor environment (temperature, music, snacks and drinks) so I don't stress about anything while I'm trying the smoke out for the first time.

Works pretty well for me. I rarely enjoy smoking out and around people unless it's huge crowds (concerts or games) and as I get older it's rarer when I go to either of those events.

Last time I saw Steely Dan I hit a bit before going in the venue and then lit a pinner about a third of the way into the show. No one would take it from me and the disapproving looks from those around me were shocking so I didn't make a big deal about it and made sure I exhaled into the sky and all was OK.

Amazing at the hypocrisy of people that must have smoked back in the day......hopefully some of them will take advantage of the new medical law to some degree. I just can't imagine being offended by somebody toking unless they were around kids in a school/childcare setting.

The best was getting a call every now a then from somebody I sold weed to freaking out because they smoked somebody out and they're on the balcony screaming "call the ambulance"!! Hahaha wondering if they should take their friend to the hospital! Hahahaha

I've also smoked people out who I knew were tripping out but handled it like a champ! They wouldn't say a thing! it looked like they thought they were dying hahaha and wouldn't say shit! Just dealt with it! Hahaha BAD ASS MOFOS!haha I've starred at them and watched them deal with whatever demon was in their heads. Seeing them come through it was kinda cool.

Edit: it wasn't the same as a bad trip on shrooms though. No where near. It was funny because it was so much less than what shrooms could do. People never go into that "K hole" for lack of a better word.

Heres a patch of a strain called KC33 I grew last summer. It was forever finishing and some of them where still in the ground November 4 at lat.43n. The genetics are mainly Brazilian/thai from the research ive come up with. Havent done a smoke report yet, but I can tell you some smelled like menthol, that was my favorite phenotype for smell it had green buds. Another phenotype got intense purple toward the end and had tropical fruit smells. Most had tropical fruit smells with a few menthol. This is the first time I have ever grew any smoke that smelled of menthol/camphor. Lots of pine, citrus, woody, spicey. But first time menthol, and only a few plants had it out of 24 grown from seed. Hope it hasn't lost that menthol funk after 4 month cure.
Here are some pics of the grow- Need to get macros of finished product.

Anyone else had any experience with menthol smelling Sativas? How was the high? Anybody get menthol tastes from Brazilian genetics in the past?

Hawaiian Sativa has some very strong menthol smelling phenotypes, reminds me to Vicks Vaporub! About Brazilian genetics, i don't know. :)

I agree, being out in the woods, waterfalls etc is always better. I find that people tend to be more calm in these areas as well so if they come across you they just smile and say hello instead of getting upset.

Have to agree on being out in nature to avoid freakouts and just enjoying the high to the fullest. Pot and nature go together.

Am real interested in the KC33 as it sounds like it might be related to Oaxacan or other similar, with the minty smell. It could be anything but might be worth it to try. I ran the KC Afghani and it was the worst plant I ever ran so?

Pocket vaporizers are the new hotness for concert goers around here. I felt like a dinosaur lighting a joint at Redrocks but didn't sense any disapproval...

RD's limited edition Goatwreck Haze has a lemon/ menthol taste & smell. I don't think it's around any more. Most phenos were rangey & difficult to manage indoors.

I crossed Trainwreck into a line I have been growing, and menthol got added and seems dominant. Hawaiian is famous for it's menthol aromas.

Yes the trainwreck has that similar smell. Trainwreck I grow smells like the old school Pine-Sol cleaner mom used to use to clean the floors on weekends. This is a bit different like vicks vapo rub, hope I am makin some sense. Ah the diversity of fine smells that cannabis puts out- never stops blowing my mind.
