I’m not sure about smoking ego. When these seeds were released, I hadn’t really even heard of dubi or of Ace. Wasn’t any ego to be had if I recall

I remember when these were released after Ot1 gave them to Ace to open populate and reproduce.

I didnt buy any of the original different pheno offerings as i was on a temporary seed buying hiatus but I wish i had.

I was always blown away by the passion and dedication to Cannabis Ot1 and the people at Ace had.

Is this from the higher % colombian in purple expressions of ot1hz?

I don’t know about higher %, just different expressions or phenotypes in the line. It would make some sense of higher amounts of CBD given the effects I feel with the darker OT’s. I should test my flowers in the future.

thats why I am growing zamal x oaxacan, and not any colombian, which I have full stock of various colombians.

I was told zamal x oaxacan is flying mind stuff, with some electric potency to it! electric!

but maybe Corinto will surprise and they will not be any sedation.

I agreed with many sativa lovers and there is not more disappointing thing on growing long flowering sativas then get stony sedation effect from it.

but of course, I am sure there are people who like this kind of effect at sativas. I have no problem with it.

My double zamal after an 8 month cure is absolutely ridiculous smoke. Almost took my breath away after smoking thinking "fuck I smoked too much", incredibley long legs and did turn into a feet floating, heart floating high that had no ceiling. Well from what I found anyway and I smoked it from 5am til 10pm.

I 99% agree with you. I have experienced devastating trippy wide leaf in a pheno of cataract kush (affie x og) I grew. Totally demolished everyone. Made me wonder if I was having heart attack. The best way to enjoy it was curled up and tripping out. It was very psychedelic. But not up or clear or even all that friendly.

Wow! Mention Haze in almost any context and it is sure to stir the pot. Too much variation, too much legend, and too difficult to grow for any concensous. Find a winner though, and you really have something, something for anyone. Some nice posts about it and Colombians.

I would like to add one key point. The narcotic effects of the good quality Colombians I have tried are much different than the narcotic effects of most indicas. Indicas, generally, drag me down to the couch and make me feel heavy. The Colombians make me feel floaty / dreamy. Entourage effects are very complex. Certainly CBD contributes negatively, in my opinion, but there are tons of other factors. I'll take a good Colombian over a good indica any day. I don't care what the chemical analysis says. Then again, it may offer insight.

Like a lot of you, I prefer the clear, cerebral, electric and trippy S.E. Asian types. Not just from S.E. Asia. I would put all these from the 1970s in the same category:

Thai Stick
Sumatran
Jamaican Ganja
Good Cali Weed
Good Mexican...

...all before what I call the indica invasion. Though I feel sorry for those born too late to experience those days, I see that there are a good many peeps here that recognize, seek, and preserve what is still available. Make and share seeds of your best selections! We are just temporary caretakers for our children of what has been passed down to us.

The purple OTH is not couch lock like indica that’s for sure. Definite dreamy and introspective. My original purchase included those single plant selections from the Ace first release. I picked 3F x 6M. Lots of red/purple in that selection. The good green OTH is just dandy though. I tried growing some of flower~power’s ICMag haze. Those were some high end energetic effects as well. Don’t get me wrong, later in the evening I’ll take a couch’y smoke.

Flower powers icmag haze x og/chem d. Not sure what to expect as far as effect. But they are starting to smell really good. Only one smells anything like the og x chem d. A few are fruity and fuel. Nothing like either parent.
