Was this from the Nevil grail project or your own cross?
This is a loaded question, given what I have read. I do feel the need to defend my friend, Bushy, given that it seems to me that a lot of people made a lot of assumptions. I sincerely doubt that all people commenting were witnesses to what ever happened between Bushy and Kangativa. I've only gleaned what I have read, and private communication with Bushy. I've never communicated with Kangativa. I'd be happy to hear privately from Kanga or anyone who wants to talk. I'd also be happy to help Bushy or Kangativa with anything I have to restore anything they might feel they have lost. I can definately vouch for Bushy and Kangativa as excellent growers and fine human beings as far as I can tell. One has to have a lot of heart to preserve and grow such exceptional plants. They aren't the only good people who have fallen out, apparently, that I have witnessed. Everyone can see that they are exceptional growers.
Gypsy Thai Stick - Obviously collected and sold by Gypsy Nirvana. My understanding is that this mother plant was selected as the best out of 30 by Kangativa. I was told that this plant was rejected as a part of the Nevil Grail Project, at least by Nevil, due to the very long flowering period and low productivity.
This accounts for 50% of the genetics of my seeds. Bushy didn't like it either, because of the never ending flowering and something about Kangativia's Mullum being just as spiritual, but without the wild ride. Bushy knew that I had it bad for Thai Stick, and was kind enough to gift the babies to me. I'm sure he surmised that I was unlikely to compromise with commercial interests when it came to my quest for a Thai-like high. There was at least one other Thai plant that he would not gift me, because he promised not to share it. This leads me to believe that there was no agreement about about the Gypsy Thai Stick, or there was a misunderstanding about it. Again, it was rejected as a component of the Nevil Grail Project.
Neville's Haze 21 - This was one of several Haze selections by Neville (RIP), if I understand that correctly, possibly his favorite. I think this and others were in the process of being evaluated by it's children. As far as I know, the project didn't advance beyond this stage. I think this may have been the longest flowering and the most sativa-like selection. I feel I must repeat that I'm only remembering what I read. It is unlikely that I read all public posts about it. This accounts for 25% of the genetics in the seed I have, to the best of my understanding.
Mullumbimby Madness - All I know is that it is highly likely that this came from Kangativa's preservation. My understanding is that Kanga preserved this lineage for decades. I have no idea if this was a selection for the Grail Project or not. I know almost nothing about it. I heard there was at least two sublineages to the MM, one called Early Mullum. I would love to have more info. This is the last 25% of the genes.
What I have observed from the seeds I have sprouted so far: The Colombian genetics come through in a big way. I expect them to be very tasty and good quality. Out of sixteen plants, only one has struck me as predominately Thai, a male that I was unsucessful at crossing to a Super Laos. The Laos were gifted by Wally, yet another big hearted exceptional Aussie grower. Cheers to all of them.
The short answer is... yes and no. Hahaha. Things are never as simple as we would like them to be.

I wasn't aware of GN Thai Stick being used in any of the grail lines hence my question ...
Personally I stay clear of any @bushweed made seeds as it seems his ethics are lacking and providence of his lines can't be guaranteed.
@ojd has crosses of genuine Nevil grail project lines on offer and even has some Nevil made Kununurra Sunshine available as freebies.
I'm currently growing his SSSTN and will pop some Kununurra later in season. I'm interested the Thai side of things too

I missed Dubi's limited releases. I think there was a Zamal x Meao Thai (wow), and perhaps a Meao Thai x something else that I was too late for. Meao Thai x Oaxacan Gold would have been great. If I get another GN Thai Stick pheno to surface, I'm going to marry it with the strain I've been working on for decades. All cerebral (trippy), electric, clean, and irie. I just don't understand the need to tone or blend those traits down. I say double down on it! I'll get there, with some more luck.

I have grown out the green and purple OTH x Meao Thai. Is that what you are thinking of? Still have some of those seeds.
Thanks Nr8tor, I grew the Purple OTH x Thai, and it was very good, but the purple Colombian in it dominates. I got basically very similar Haze-like genes x Thai, and my hands are full with it. I expect some strongly Thai phenos will pop out in the F2 gen with what I have. I think the high I'm looking for is very recessive. If I'm so damned picky, it serves me right that I have to do the work. LOL
