How's it going, Vems. Heard the Niner's signed that DL that they franchised and he's reported. The defense could be in the top five of the league...

We'll see how the Jets do, if they live up to the hype. I dont think Cromartie is near the equal of Revis; if they're to be an elite team, the defense will have to continue to be a strength.

The Saints defense, especially their defensive line, was impressive.
Early in the season, the defenses are usually further along than the offenses (takes more time for the offenses to gel). If the Saints repeat, they'll do so because of their defense as much as their offense. Brees looked sharp too; didnt put up huge numbers, but moved the ball when they needed to with a balanced attack. All in all, if the Saints can play like this consistently, they might very well repeat...

The Eagles open with the Pack at home. Many people have been picking Green Bay to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. They've been saying that for the past two years though.
It will be interesting to see if LeSean can fill Westbrook's shoes at RB. I thought Westbrook was one of the greatest pass-catching RB's to ever play the game, on par with Marshall Faulk in that area.

The Bears got away with one. I felt Megatron definitely made that catch. I bet coaches all around the league are going to be telling their players this week: "Listen, when you're coming down with the ball, whether you stay on the ground or come right back up, DONT LET GO OF THE BALL."
4 TO's, 4 sacks given up. Not gonna do it, not over the course of a season.
On the bright side, Peppers came up with a big play (sack, strip, and knocked the QB out of the game), the defense gave up two rushing TDs but otherwise looked ok (helped by the fact Stafford didnt play the entire second half), and only one of those TO's was a Cutler INT.

lulz @ the Kolb era. First day of the era and he ends up with a concussion. lol. Philly is the stupidest team period. You get rid of your best players because 80% of philly fans are idiots...FAIL. Enjoy your sub 500 season unless Vick becomes the starter.

was not kolbs fault the o line is garbage, McVick just knows how to run away from the blitz. to bad he never glanced right and ran in the td instead he was looking to throw just to prove that he can. kolb def deserves another chance you dont judge him on the first half of his first game at the helm. rather that then seeing mcnabb throw up come out playing air guitar and taunting cowboys fans then playing like complete shit.

The Kolb era started inauspiciously but maybe this opens the door for a Michael Vick comeback story.
McNabb is a great player but i think the Eagles thought they've seen his ceiling, this is as good as it gets with him. Now, if they go on a years-long losing streak, Donovan gets the last laugh. But I didnt think the move was a bad one at the time, and after one game its unfair to draw any lasting conclusions.

Yeah, the Bears looked good, but theyre lucky to be 2-0. Should have lost to the Lions, and took care of a Dallas team that is really struggling to score points. Im glad that they seemed to stop the bleeding along the offensive line, and hopefully it will last. Big Monday night game hosting the Packers, should really be a good test to see if my team is for real or just pretenders.

Im surprised the Raiders turned to Gradkowski so soon, but it seems like BG is just able to move the ball. I know Louis Murphy is happy to have a QB with some moxie tossing him the ball, and then Chaz Schilens is coming back, and McFadden is finally playing like the high first round draft pick he was, and you never know, they could be a team to reckon with down the stretch. Heck even Heyward-Bey isnt looking like a total bust. He's still got a long way to go to justify his high draft slot, but there are flashes that he could be a legitimate wide receiver in the N-F-L...
