looking good man. beds rule and no need to change soil and if ya do mix your own consider cheap cement mixer... they make things much easier... I did raised beds in 2 of my greenhouses once upon a time...

Gotta question for you - in those beds - and with the blumats - you have 60g per bed - how many spikes per bed? How are your reservoirs set up? You have them set up with float valves directly to a water source, so they fill up automatically...or are you filling them as necessary? Roughly how many gallons of water per day you going through?
The second question is really in regards to the positioning of the res. I know blumats work on gravity, so the res has to be above the plant beds, yeah? How are supporting the res and how elevated is it? More than one res or multiple?

Fuck, I'm a horrible slacker guys, I really do apologize for not updating sooner. You haven't missed much though to be honest. There have been 0 problems and pictures of plants in early/mid flower rarely excite me enough to take pictures. Oh yeah, I did find out that the dehuis I was using were recalled due to fire hazards. Thank god I spend so much time here. There's a recent thread around here, if you use dehuis from Lowe's/Home Depot, you should check to make sure yours are good.
Frank, I answered your questions in chat last night, but I'll address them in case anyone else was curious. My beds are actually about 75 gallons apiece. I have one 15-20 gallon rez per 2kW room and a 5 gallon bucket for a rez in veg that I have been topping off with a hose. But after about a year of unwinding and winding that shit is old, so this weekend actually I'll be plumbing shit and getting float valves on all my rez's. For big plants, as in 1 plant per bed, the plant will get 6 or 7 drippers. For smaller plants, like 6-8 per bed, they'll get 1 per plant, with a dripper in the middle of each plant. Basically I configure them all around my bed where I need the most moisture. Harder to explain but you'd know what I mean when you experience it.
supermanlives - yeah man, I was looking into cement mixers, but I couldnt find any that had a large enough volume. I bought a huge compost tumbler, like 165 gallon capacity i think. I do 100 gallons at a time in it when I have to mix. But I have barely used it. All the light mixing just gets done by hand IN the beds now.
So yeah, I think I say this every time. This shit is just too easy. I just put some Ldawg, D99, pre-98 bubba, and Shire into flower a couple weeks ago into dirt that's been used 3 runs. Looking good so far. You'll see them in about 8-9 weeks .
Until then, I tooks some Ldawg pictures about a week ago. They came down 2 nights ago.
I have a couple rooted gg4 clones, so I am really excited about running her. I also got ECSD back in the stable. Not to mention a few other goodies. Thanks guys!

And this huge fucker that scared the piss out of me. I was pouring some EWC into a bucket to make some tea and out he came along with the ewc. I am VERY arachnophobic and it took me about 15 minutes for my heart to calm down. Swear to god, I fear spiders more than cops or prison.

super excited to see your thread!! I'm hoping my Pineapple Chunk grow will be as easy as yours. The geoplanters were pretty spendy if I remember right but I bought a Gro Pro brand square bed 100 gallons for $22 online. When I filled it though, the sides rounded out so it looks round. Its way too deep too so I rolled down the sides so it's double layered. I put a 3x3 hydro tray down from my old hydro unit and filled with the clay pellets. Then I set the bed on top of the pellets. The bed isn't flat on the ground and the air can move better through the pellets to the bottom so every part of the bed gets air; not just the sides. I used regular smart pots and plastic too and noticed a huge difference with the fabric pots. that is why I chose the fabric beds. plus, I'm a girl who is afraid of power tools and building stuff so it made it super easy to set up. You buds are amazing and I'm also growing the casey jones. I read that it triples in size in bloom. is that true?

It's been almost a year and a half using the same dirt, things are still going pretty well. No real problems to speak of, aside from some thrips.
I have a tendency to get overly lazy with letting shit stay too long in pots that are too small for them in veg, so a lot of my plants have been getting flipped with a mg deficiency.
I'm working on getting better at that
