This thread has inspired me to give living organic soil a try. Way different style of growing than I'm used to. It just looks so appealing.

I wanna try doing a 100 gal. geo-pot. 4 plants in it. I have 3 weeks to research and get everything I need to make it happen. The whole idea of not having to throw out my medium at the end of every cycle sounds awesome!! Plus your plants look so healthy, I would almost feel like a full on tard if I didn't give it a shot.

Thanks for your kind comments as always, Tona. I MAY have toked just a little P1 at the last gathering I had, but there were like 50 other strains there, after the first 13 joints, everything kinda started to run together :biglaugh: I'm super excited to give her a proper sampling. If the high is anything like her smell and looks, then yeah, it sure looks like I'm in for a treat :)

Thanks man, it makes me happy to be an inspiration! I stay away from a lot of copying and pasting and regurgitating other people's info. I feel it makes the thread messy and confusing. This technique is so easy and straightforward, there is just no need for anything superfluous. And I certainly don't need to sound like I know what I'm talking about, I let the plants I post speak for me :) The proof is in the pudding, not the ingredients.

I like the geoplanters, personally. I've grown to love the rectangular shape and immovability. Find a recipe that sounds good in the Organics for Beginners sticky and work with that. Follow the recipe to a T. So choose one that you know you can get all the ingredients for. You will get outstanding results from your first run if all of your environmentals are in order. Each successive run though is where it really gets special.

A sad, sad day today

A sad, sad day today

It takes an awful lot of courage for me to come here and say this to all of you who have been along for the ride.

It seems as though my 'retard-proof-recipe-for-success' is a complete and utter failure.

Unbeknownst to me, the gradual combination of dolomitic lime, crushed seashells, and get this - EARTHWORM CARCASSES - eventually forms a kind of cement that hardens COMPLETELY overnight.

I went in this AM and could not believe what I was seeing. Everything seemed perfectly fine last night. Now, I have 8 2.5'x5'x1' beds completely filled with hardened cement in a basement that I cant get out. It's going to take forever to break up the blocks into chunks that I can handle, this stuff is almost as hard as a diamond. FUCK ME.

So the lesson for today folks, if you want to be a successful grower, don't do ANYTHING you've read in this thread.

Today I quit growing pot to chase my number 2 dream - I am now going to be a professional fooz ball player.

Nope, trust me. There is no bottle, no nothing that will fix it. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's like a hardened cement.

I was going in to take pictures of that run that I thought was maybe gonna burn up when I drunk transplanted. I was so angry and upset that I smashed my DSLR. I got into my car and smashed my cellphone to pieces on the street as I drove away in anger. Or else I would have certainly taken pictures, you've never seen anything like this.

Maybe it was something in your water that acted as a catalyst or earthworm colony collapse because of anaerobic conditions of your organic soil

that is the danger here, bacteria in soil can be dangerous.

Organics can't be be trusted, case closed.

If you are truly serious.......have you checked to see if they are solid all the way thru? Maybe it's just the first couple inches? I've had powered DE harden up like that. But nothing as serious as your talkin'. What do the plants look like. Sorry for all the questions, but your post blew my mind.
