Bump, near a year to the day!

So what can you all recommend for me to watch tonight? I recently watched Powder, about the albino fella with electrical powers...it was okay but not excellent, I think my girlfriend enjoyed it more lol. I also watched Chronicle, good movie but I think they could have done a lot more with their powers.

Don't know if this one was mentioned yet...Killer Joe w/ Matthew McConeheyheyeyeyeye however ya spell his name. I don't normally like his movies or characters he plays, but he was made for this movie character. He plays a sheriff detective who is also a hit man.

If you like movies in the Tarantino vein...lots of violence and psychos, etc...you'll probably enjoy Killer Joe.

Rotten Tomatoes says...http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/killer_joe/

Wait Until Dark ~ '67
True suspense thriller w/Alan Arkin as the heroin smuggler/bad guy. This movie's been ranked/rated as one of the scariest ever. It's real edge of your seat cinema.

Play Misty for Me ~ '71
Another suspense thriller w/Clint Eastwood playing a jazz DJ in Carmel by the Sea who meets an extreme psychochick.

heres a little more info on wait until dark 67.Wait Until Dark is an innovative, highly entertaining and suspenseful thriller about a blind housewife, Susy Hendrix (Audrey Hepburn). Independent and resourceful, Susy is learning to cope with her blindness, which resulted from a recent accident. She is aided by her difficult, slightly unreliable young neighbor Gloria (Julie Herrod) with whom she has an exasperated but lovingly maternal relationship. Susy's life is changed as she is terrorized by a group of criminals who believe she has hidden a baby doll used by them to smuggle heroin into the country. Unknown to Susy, her photographer husband Sam (Efrem Zimbalist Jr.) took the doll as a favor for a woman he met on an international plane flight and unwittingly brought the doll to the couple's New York apartment when the woman became afraid of the customs officials. Alone in her apartment and cut-off from the outside world, Susy must fight for her life against a gang of ruthless criminals, led by the violent, psychotic Roat (Alan Arkin). The tension builds as Roat, aided by his gang, impersonates police officers and friends of her husband in order to win Susy's confidence, gaining access to her apartment to look for the doll. The climax of the film, a violent physical confrontation between Susie and Roat in her dark kitchen, is one of the most memorable and frightening scenes in screen history. All performances are outstanding, particularly those of Audrey Hepburn who plays a vulnerable, but self-reliant woman, and Alan Arkin, in perhaps his best role, as the ruthless, manipulative Roat.

Just watched Degenerate Art: The Art and Culture of Glass Pipe making....its up on netflix now. Really awesome documentary, goes through the start of heady pipes or how fuming was discovered by mistake. Anyways, if your interested at all in the glass blowing industry I highly recommend this movie.

Frailty, with Bill Paxton and Matthew Mcconahoweverit'sspelt. Bill Paxtons 1st time directing and it's a great film.

A few that come to mind that might not be here already:

The American was fantastic. My friends all hated it, but I loved it.

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou(and every other with Bill Murray in it)

In Bruges - absolutely hilarious and touching and probably my favorite movie of all time

In Bruges has been on one of the pay channels. I'll DVR it.

I love The Life Aquatic, because Steve Zissou reminds me so very much of a good friend I used to work with.

On netflix they have a great documentary put up recently. Its called "the ambassador". Its about a dutch journalist who becomes a corrupt African diplomat.

Its amazing stuff. You can just pay money, become an African diplomat and not even have to go through customs. You get access to these diamond producing regions and the opportunity to smuggle, etc.

It was really neat IMHO.
