Where the buffalo roam has its moments. Hero is one of my favorites also.

The movie that always gets me though is shawshank redemption. Will be flipping through the channels and run into it. I have to finish it for some reason.

Well though i'm just teasing whodair about men loving men ....

Shawshank Redemption really does show one of the more poignant examples in movies of two men that bond so strongly over a period of years under the worst of circumstances . Beautiful example of them both finding redemption on their own terms one supporting the other & helping the other re~emerge out of the penal system he would have been lost forever in & to be finally free to emerge to be a man again .

(also shows how violent , tyranical & masochistic we can be too)

* Just ask any grunt in the marines or army in the battle zone that protect each other ....those who served together in war . They are connected in this life , forever ....no small thing , the shared fight for our freedom a great thing really.

Gladiator has a similar friendship between the gladiator/general Maximus & the Nubian hunter ...having good & trusted friends in life is no joke really & rivals in reality anything called "love"....more instances between men in life should involve expressions of true love .

The Good the Bad and the Ugly is one of my favorites. Old school Clint Eastwood cowboy shootem up with a pretty good plot to boot. Actually that whole trilogy is good, A Fist Full of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and TGTBATU are all classics. Highly recommended, especially when smoking...

I tried to post some titles yesterday, but around 4:20 pm I couldn't even get through to the website due to schools getting out I imagine. Random selection of films out of the thousand titles I have on a hard drive.

Touching the Void - awesome survival story of two mountain climbers. If you look up or watch any of the ones I list, make it this one. You'll remember this film the rest of your life.

This Boy's Life
The Wrestler
The Claim
The Man Who Knew Too Little (Bill Murray)
The Grey Zone
Thank You For Smoking
Rob Roy
Redbelt
Owning Mahowney
Choke
Killshot
Jeremiah Johnson
Fog of War - Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert S McNamara
Children of Men
Before The Devil Knows You're Dead
