It's a shame we have to get old but what can you do....
Back in the 90's we never changed the water until we started a new grow. The clones were indica and we just kept the EC 2.0 and had no trouble for years. Then one summer we started getting root rot and it kept occurring so we went to soil for a few decades

Was it flood and drain or DWC??? Found solution needed to be 68F, and no access to light. Had to make sure strong light could not be seen at all through container. Then either sterile with 2 drops of bleach per gallon occasionally or I preferred live, with heisenberg tea. Now I prefer coir, since so easy. One screwup with hydro and can lose everything.

Hi all. Sorry I bolted but I had too much goin on at once and I wound up havin a really awful grow. Found out I was feeding too heavy, was getting clogs in my air lines, and had them growing them into the lights and everything. All bad.
But now I’m at 3 weeks of flower on my second grow and things look great. I pretty much got the system dialed in now so hopefully we’ll have a nice harvest in 6 weeks. Here they are now. Il try getting a pick once the lights go out later. Hope alls well with everyone.

600-650 PPM max. I am screwed growing 10 other strains when used to just feeding GG4 for last 8 years. Probably take a year or more to get them right.

GG4 for 8 years eh...nice. Been growing mine about 6-7. My all time fave strain. Still have a mom...GG4 clone only..It is just awesome! I run about .8 to 1.0 EC with Jacks. Much higher than that and your looking at tip burn. I pushed them at start of flower to 1.5 and that was a bit to much.
I saw your really clawed leaves on that last grow.....dam yeah ph or overfeeding there. Looks to be better this run...Good luck! I am at day 34 on my current run with GG4 in RDWC...going splendidly.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Yea it was allot of things. I even found out they were just sitting in nutes. No bubbles. I don’t even know for how long. I just been overwhelmed recently.
I think these will be fine. And I think I got the pheno I want. Tying was really different. I used to pull back and now I pull down. I grew vertically for a good 7 years and I guess I got used to it. Now I’m back to getting that even canopy I loved so well. I still miss vertical growing but I like doing the even canopy thing too. When I did grow horizontally I was growing with aeroponics and using much smaller cuts, so it’s still a bit different now. I put them in much larger now.
Now I’m torn between doing a nute change or not. 3 weeks without one and they look happy. I usta change it out every 2weeks or so. Now I’m thinking mabey I didn’t need to.

I do my changes every week. My plants look great and the water is perfectly clear but No reason for me not to. I am on my own well and with Jacks a rez change costs me about $1.12. I figure it is easy insurance against problems. Your mileage may vary.
Good that you got the pheno you wanted...I have been so happy with mine!!! She's rewarded me with such good meds for years now.
What kind of water do you start with?

Hi Negative! I’m just using regular city tap water. It comes in @ under 100 ppms tho so it’s not too bad. How’s the clone only GG taste? And how’s the thc content? I heard it’s up there at like 32%. That’s hard to imagine!

Nice to hear on the water.
So the clone only gg4 is 4 stars in every category....
Taste: My taste buds suck for weed. I cant give you a good idea of what I taste. It is good tho. Not harsh or smokey flavored at all. My lady has smoked much of it and tastes gas, earth and pine...like alotta people do.
The THC content is outstanding. I have not yet grown anything that out shined it in that department. It is just absolutely covered in trichs. I have never had mine tested but I have seen results slightly over 30% from respectable individuals.
The smell. Ok you did not ask about this one but it has to be said. FUCKING AMAZEBALLS!! The gas that comes off this is just knock your head back strong. It overpowers any pine or chocolate or earth for me for sure. GAS, GAS, GAS....My lady describes it as "goes high up in her nose then drops to back of her throat"
I thought that was a interesting way of putting it.
If you do not mind I will drop a couple pics here of the goods. Feel free to remove if its a problem.

Glue is golf balls on a string not stacked like a fat indy. Those look about right for what day you are at. Bit of clawing there at the tips, might back down slightly. Looking nice though.
I am day 41, yours look to be similar to mine at that age.

Thank you Negative. I’m doing a nute change today sometime too. I got me a green light bulb so I can do it while they sleep. It feels really good getting back on the horse!

I’m so glad I got my nute change done. Everything went without a hitch. I don’t know why I was so hesitant to do it. Mabey it’s just that I havnt done this in years it just feels a little strange to me yet. But I repeated what I did out west before I recirculated everything. I guess I’m over it now. I think Il just do a changeout every 10 days or so. I bet they like it. I got a bag of Kool bloom on the way now too. Thiss autta be great. Im not sure if my pen is rite but my ppms seemed way way higher in what they were in verses what I just mixed for them. It’s interesting because my tips that are slightly burnt are burnt white. When I used to mix I would go as high as would slightly burn the tiny tips my leaves but they would burn brown. These are burnt white. I think at this point(4 wks without a change)they were sitting in some empty waist salts that raised my ppms without any nutritional value. So now Mabey they’ll get a bit thicker. And im gonna change my nutes out on the reg now every 10 days. I think they’re gonna love it. I feel a whole lot better too

Here they are now.

They seems to have fattened up a bit. I read up and this is way different than the cut only original. I just hope they fatten up nicely in their last 2 wks. I’m givin them 7 Gr maxi bloom and 3 Gr Kool bloom pr gallon now. I’m not used to this bud structure at all. Well see what happens in 2 weeks. Hope they fatten up nicely!

I know HID's no longer the standard. They're actually dinosaurs that seem to get hate for some reason? The eyes don't lie, and there's no need for trick photography. HIDs don't take nearly as good pictures, but I'm alright with that. Coop tunes are great too. You're running 1k? What's the cultivar? Recent pic?
