Hello icmagers ,
@Mr.Jones thanks for checking me out
Job issues keep me back from updating my post.
Well my plants look fine in their 6-6-10 solution but ,
They are are not seem to drinking too muchh nutes ,
they stay @1225(.7) for two days now and ph updrifting
from 5,3 to 5,8 in daily base.
I have VERY hard time to train them under the scrog net cause
it is my first time and i cannot visualize the outcome of every training
and how i would like my canopy ro be.
Anyway i train them the best way i can and we will see.

Tommorow i will give you a good picture update and maybe i will make a res
change to 0-8-16 from Lucas cause i would like to see my ppm downdrift .

Hello icmagers ,

I make a water change for my system at 3/11 and i fix my solution at 1240(.7) ppm almost 1.8 EC with 6-6-10 GMB from Useless flower week 1 schedule.

My girls seems to like it.
They drinkup over almost 12 liters(3 gallons) of water in 5 days and the ppms downdrift to 1215(.7) ppm i conclude that the solution is balanced somehow and they drinking up nutes and water at the same rate.

My ph keep updrifting from 5,3 to 5,8 in 24 hour time but i am tired yelling around that i cannot control it.The girls like it so f..k it.

Tomorrow i will top off my res and i will bring up my ppm's with 0-8-16 Lucas formula.I feed with Useless for the first week cause it have some of the freen bottle insdide so i can feed the stretch in a way and avoid Ca & Mg defiances.

I have major issues handling my scrog net i cannot decide where i want my buds to be.I have some scrog management questions for you and after that some photos before the training follows.

1) How far in flower i must train my plants before i let them grow , i was thinking train them for the first two weeks of the streching is that ok ?
2) Do i must still try to bring up to the scrog net small bud sites from bellow or i must give up trying?
3) Do you trim everything under the scrog net and when?
i make a partial trimming on the day 1 switching to 12/12 and i am thinking trim everything at the end of the first week.

Enough with the scrog net they only way you can learn scrog is by experience i think that reading really not helping in scrog.

1.) it all depends how high your plants grow - shiva skunk in my experience isnt too short so i would be careful! if you are certain that if you let them go now you wont have a space problem - you are going to be fine ... main goal in scrogging from my experience is to fill the net out so you use all of your space and light!

2.) i would cut everything away that looks not well developed - you'll get a lot of airy shitty bud if you dont! and if you cut away the weak budsites you will by the way end up with more yield! (from my experience)

3.) everything needs to go away under the screen - its a waste of energy to still supply those parts of the plants and you will get a by far better air circulation under the screen ...

check out this thread: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=174163

i would consider in your case maybe getting rid of some big fan leaves or maybe even all of them - but in this case i would ask other ppl as well what they think - never did defoliation before!

Hello Mr.Jones are you telling me that i must remove weak budsites that they reach the scrog net too , or only the under growth.
I have spot this \defoliation thread enough time now but i am afraid to beggin reading it tooo long to catch up , but i must and i will.

Hello tjo
It is in someones sig "SCREW LUCAS we are not in the 70's anymore"
but Useless schedule demands weekly res changes and i am afraid all this job.
If i did not follow Lucas with wich recipe/ratio i will top of my res .
It is a problem deciding and cause i am inspired first from you you words
are significant for me

the undergrowth needs to be removed, no point in keeping it! (everything below your net)

the weak budsites i would remove if i would be in your position! youll end up with better stats at the end ...

Ok today i top off my res with 15 liters of water (almost 4 gallons) and my ppm go to 940(.7)
My girls drink up all this water in 6 days

I mix to my sollution 24ml Micro and 48ml Bloom (Lucas)
and raise the ppms at 1255(.7) almost 1,8 EC.

Unfortunatly i lost the scrog game and i cannot move anything anymore
the stems will brake if i try to bend them under the scrog net ,
i have plenty of room above so i give up the fight and i will try
a better managment in the next round. As always i brake one
more budsite trying to move it counting sum in all the training sessions
2 dead big budsites
2 dead small budsites
2 badly injured big budsites

Thank god i leave someones alive i think that
i am the worst scroger in the world.

I remove some of the undergrowth and i will remove little by little till i am done.
I also remove some big fan leafes that they are covering budsites .
That's it for now tommorow i will post some pics for your inspection

Thanks everyone

actually that is a bad idea - you will stress the plant alot by removing in steps - rather cuts cut them back hard and leave them alone after :)

Mr.Jones really thanks for coaching i will trim everything bellow tommorow.
Do you think that i must remove all together the fan leaves that hide budsites
cause i didn't start to catch up the Defoliation thread.
Thanks

yeah there are 2 different high yield techniques from what i read:
lolly popping and defoliation:
looly popping you just cut all the weak branches and let the strong ones grow. did it myself and actually worked good - i cut not enough - still got too much airy bud!
defoliation you try to push the weak branches by giving them more light ...

either way you go its the right way i guess - i never defoliated so i cant tell if its really working but ppl report good stuff about it. lolly popping ist working for sure since i did it before.

cutting down the undergrowth is a must do - i might consider cutting away the fan leaves if the shade branches ... my goal would be to remove every fan leave that shades so you get a space full of budsites BUT if there are fan leaves alone without disturbing let them stay.

-> you just cant go wrong! and in your case you have a lot of leaves around - and the vigor of your plants will make up to that in like a blink of an eye ...

lolly popping for you is not much of an issue since this method gets effectiv if you have just headbuds - in a sog (sea of green) for exapmple :)

Hello icmagers ,
as i promise i have some picture updates for your inspection.
Today i trim all the undergrowth and i remove fan leafs that covering budsites all at once.
My ppms stay stable @ 1255(.7) but my ph keep updrifting .... and i keep ignore it an give some ph down.

Here is the canopy after fan leafes removing i cannot train anymore and any suggestions
it will be helfull cause as you can see i have different heights there.

good looking plants erwin!:)
you done great work with the under growth trim-something that
i cant do in my place- and your canopy is very nice..for your first
time is perfect..dont blame your self..dwc rocks and you have it..!
healthy plants with large trunks..
and the show is just the beggining.!

ps
your ph goes up..my ph goes down..but in the both cases,
the ppms falling down... what the fuck:smoky:

Thanks Mr.Jones i can't wait too and i am hoping to make it over 0.5 gpw @ the end.

Hola tjo i lie down and strech to trim my back left girl and this in my 65 cm wide closet
in your space this is simply impossible.I don't like my canopy cause i see some awesome scrog managment (look at Biggreens screen awesome). But hey i am a newb i will learn over time the only think i would like is to manage it over .5 gpw

Ok i have some pictures but i will not post they are only 24 hours after the above ones.
ppm goes down ph up it is reasonable and this is my case until now
ppm goes down ph down i cannot imagine the reason
But now i have a new movement in my nutrient solution.
My girls drink almost 1 gallon of water in 24 hours (3 liters)
and my ppm goes from 1255(.7) to 1270(.7)
with my ph updrifting as always from 5,3 to 5,8 in 24 hours.
I top off my res with the 3 liters of water to make the solution
lighter and i add 2ml GH ph down.
Now i am waiting for the tommorows response from the res
cause the girls don't seem to bother at all.

Well done.
Nice canopy.
"ppm goes down ph down i cannot imagine the reason" - they drink too much water and less nutes, imo.

@zuma
Thanks zuma , i was trying to give many details cause i learn like you
reading around here and i am conviced to try hydro after watching closely tjo's grow log's

@Tricky1
Thanks for your nice words but i don't like my canopy (yeah it is good for first time scrog)
cause i lost the game after 1 week in flower and it was unable to train them anymore
i hope that they stop streaching soon so they can get some light.
No ppm down - ph down is not my case my case was ppm down - ph up
but my ph keep updrifting from 5,3 to 5,8 in 24 hours time
ppm down - ph down is the case for tjo's solution and i am curious
about it to.

@Incognero
Thanks for you kind words can't wait too

Well here is some updates , since last res top off 11/11/10 girls drinkup
10 liters of water again ( almost 3 gallons) , and this in 3 days
time .

Yesterday i top off my res with pure R/O water and my ppm fall to 1050(.7)
after toping off i add 16 ml Micro and 32 ml Bloom bring back my
ppm's to 1245(.7) where the girls seem to like it .
I am waiting a signal of big ppm falling so i can raise the strenght
of the nutrient solution near 1300(.7)
Today i replace 2 airstones that they not bubble almost at all , one of
them melt in my hand !!! i open up and fix one of my airpumps too and
now my girls are living in 60 liters of water oxygeneted by 20 watt of airpumps
one airstone under each tree.

As always my ph keep rising everyday from 5,3 to 5,8 and i keep ignoring it
giving some GH's ph down every day.

Girls look 100% healthy and getting taller day by day the first hairs start to appear
and i am waiting the party to start.

Waiting for the party i plan some weeks ahead and i am thinkink.....

How much my 4 plants will yield ?
How much time i will flush ?
I must use something like clearex ?
When i must cut clones form mother plant so they
are ready for the second round ?

Tomorrow i will give you a picture update , thanks all
