I'm only running the Aglex 320 fixture on 3/4. The plants seem to like that setting and there won't be any risk of overpowering them. I topped 4 of the plants to level the canopy and they're all within a couple of inches of each other in height.
In the second pic, note the size of the calyx on one of the Iced Skunk. It's at least 1/2 inch in size. Huge by my standards. I smoked the test bud of the Iced Sunk. It was decent for having no cure and burned perfectly. I was plenty stupid after smoking
a nice fatty so it meets my stupifying requirements.
Whenever I water the clones, I move the front row to the back and the other two rows forward. I also try to shuffle them in their rows. I'm actively topping them to control height. They're quite uniform in height and shape and generally healthy. They're kinda cramped in the little room. As they are fully mature, I'm hoping they'll flower faster and finish quicker than the seed crop.
For the last few years, I've been flowering with a 11/13 light cycle. I'll flower this crop at 12/12 and the subsequent crop will be 11/13 to see if there is any difference in finish time, yield and flavor.
The plants are fading perfectly. Their moisture uptake has dropped and I'm just feeding them plain ph balanced water. It's always bitter sweet at harvest time. The girls I nurtured for 16 weeks are moving towards sentience and I hate to see them go. I'm also looking forward to smoking those tasty looking buds.
Ready or not, harvest begins in 4 days and will happen over 5 days, days F57 - F62. I know what order I plan to chop them in. On day 63, I'll cut more clones, clean the flower room and put the current clones under the flower lights. And, the cycle will repeat...
The clones are not liking their environment. Not sure why, too much intensity, not enough air flow, cramped space or a combination of these factors. They only have a couple more days left in the little room and then they'll have the flower room to live in. I dropped the light intensity to 1/2 from 3/4 and next crop I'll keep the intensity at 1/2 and see how they fare.
They're still fairly healthy but not exhibiting their usual vigor.
The first plant is ready to smoke. It weighed 45g. The buds are coated with crystals and firm. I smoked a nice morning reefer and I'm plenty stupid now (lol). It just needs a bit of a cure in it to bring out the flavor. I worked as a commercial painter much of my life and my exposure to various solvents has reduced my ability to judge smell so I can't really identify terpin profiles. I'll ask my wife, but it doesn't smell like skuunk to me.
All in all, I'm very happy with the strain so far and I'm looking forward to restocking the jars with some of this...
Today was a busy day in the garden. Here's the final harvest plant just waiting for harvest tomorrow. She was beautiful until I got her tangled up in the overhead wiring and broke some branches getting her out of the room. She's a WIFI.
The harvest is complete. The final plant, a WIFI, is trimmed and drying. It was the largest.
So, it's full speed ahead and the start of clones for the 3rd crop. Again, I'll take 6 of each strain. I'm always apprehensive when cloning as I've had numerous failures over the years. I'm cautiously optimistic as the last batch went perfectly.
It'll be a few days getting to get a final crop weight but I'm still hoping for 450g.
I have a couple of pounds of trim, old bud and shake that I've collected over the last couple of years. This week I'm going to concentrate it into bubble hash.
First though, it's cloning time. The little room is cleaned and ready to go.
