All the clones are still green 8 days after cutting. I've started taking the dome off twice a day for 10 minutes at a time. They seem to be perking up a little so hopefully they are starting to root. I'm hoping to remove the dome completely by this time next week. The clones in the red solo cups aren't doing much but I don't expect to see any roots for a couple more weeks.

I've got the 2nd quantum board installed so I have 720 watts of lighting above the plants. They're at 7 days of 12/12 and starting to push out pistils. If the clones root quickly, I'm hoping to take off 4 crops by the end of May 2025.

The clones are 12 days since cutting. I took off the dome twice today for 25 minutes at a time. I think they are mostly rooted and I'll remove the dome permanently in two days. I'll probably continue with bottom heat for a few more days after that.

The clones in the red solo cups look like they've been ridden hard and put to bed wet but the submerged stems are producing bumps and the terminal ends are unfolding and perking up. I only need 9 for the next crop so I'll get those from the pro-mix clones which I'll repot in 5 days. I'm going to pot up one of the water clones today to see if it'll take. I'm just experimenting now since it's been years since I've done any cloning.

I downloaded an app (Photone) for measuring PAR using my android phone. I'm sure it's no very accurate but will give me an idea of how well I've balanced the light output from the two leds. I've tried to set the light intensity to 750 ppfd at the tops. The back row is taller so gets it a higher ppfd. I'll watch the plants and see how they fare at this level and make adjustments on the subsequent crops.

I repotted all the pro-mix clones into their finishing pots at 21 day since cutting. Good root mass. The water clones have bumps on the stems below the water line but no roots yet. I discarded half of the water clones due to space considerations and lack of need. I'll report back when they do produce roots. The veg room is full...

Iced Skunk

Iced Skunk Fem was born of Skunk and White Widow back in the 90s.
She has the massive buds of the skunk with the kick of the classic White Widow.
Iced Skunk is known to have high THC levels, smells of fuel, and flowers in 8 weeks. It's known to be best grown indoors.

This is the description from Canuk Seeds. Hope it's accurate but who knows... The pic below is the smallest of the 4 I have and the nicest structure. A true Christmas tree shape. They have a bit of skunk smell to them but nothing overpowering yet. I didn't take a clone of this one
20241016_144403.jpg
but I have clones of the rest.

All the plants are coming out of the room tomorrow for undergrowth removal and other necessary pruning. All is good in the grow room today.

WIFI OG

Wifi OG, also known as “White Fire OG” or simply “Wifi,” is a slightly sativa dominant hybrid (40% indica/60% sativa) strain created through a cross of the infamous Fire OG and The White strains.

I grew a 10 pack of the original from OG Rascal 5 or 6 years ago and it was terrific. This crop has 4 plants from Canuk Seeds, I grew a few last season and found they were very similar to the originals.

The first pic is the tallest, towering 8 inches above the others. The second pic is typical of the other 3. Both at 25 days of 12/12.

I gave them their first watering since repotting. They're 28 days from cutting, actively growing and still greening up. There is only height room of 30 inches for the plants in the grow room and still 5 weeks of vegging to go. I think it'll be ok.

Still no roots on the water clones. Here you can see the bumps which will hopefully turn into roots. This method is too slow for my liking.

Yep, under the stairs. I'm just lucky that both strain are 8 - 9 weeks for flowering. There'd be problems trying to run back to back long duration sativa plants like this. I've subtracted the pot height from the actual headroom and I can probably steal a couple more inches if I turn the light 90 degrees. Worse case scenario involves topping the clones. We'll see how it plays out.

I have an end date in June 2025 and hope to take down 4 crops. That requires each crop to go no longer than 9 weeks, cutting clones from the clones and flowering the mature clones immediately. I'm kind of a procrastinator so we'll see if I can exercise some discipline.

I only ran 2 crops last season and I'm down to 2 or 3 ounces of good bud left. Too close to running out for my liking. I'll be damned if I give the govvy one cent in taxes by buying legal weed. My government made a criminal of me for 50 years and now wants to be my dope dealer. Ha,ha, I'm not bitter...

I took some accurate measurements and from the top of the pots to 6 inches below the fixture at maximum height I actually have 34 inches for maximum plant height in the veg room. Hopefully, that'll be enough.

The water clones have been discarded. Still no roots at 32 days. I don't need them anyway and they take too long for my purposes. So, it'' be pro mix clones under the dome for the rest of the season. I removed the bottom leafs from each clone and fed them again. I still have 2 extra clones which will be discarded eventually before flowering.

Things are going good in the flower room. I dimmed the lights a little as there is some upper fan yellowing and I think the intensity was too high. All they get is 8ml/gal per watering of PBP flowering solution and a little Liquid Karma every 2nd or 3rd watering.

I culled 2 of the clones so I'm left with 5 WIFI and 4 Iced Skunk clones for the second crop. They're all healthy and vigorous. Still lots of headroom but I'll be raising the light in a few days. About 4 weeks of veg to go....

Here's the Iced Skunk at 39 days of 12/12. They're supposed to finish at 8 weeks and look like they will. You can see the bleaching effect on the big fan leaves. I'm not going to reduce the light intensity on this crop but I'll reduce it some on the second run. All in all, I'm pretty happy with what I'm seeing.

I watered the clones yesterday. When I was balancing the ph, the ph meter stopped working. I suspect the batteries died so I got out my brand new back-up meter and it didn't work either. I had to guess at the required ph- for the clones and I'll have to guess when I water the flowering crop today. I have batteries coming from Amazon later today and hopefully that will solve my problem. Otherwise, I'll have to get another ph meter.

Clones at 45 Days of 18/6.

Here's the clones at 47 days from cutting. They're doing fine and I'm going to top 3 or 4 of them next watering to level out the canopy and control height. I've got the light 2 inches from maximum height and they still have 2 weeks of veg left in the little room. They look cramped and ready for flower but they'll have to wait.

Like most growers, I wish I had more grow space but my little space does everything I need so I'm happy to have what I have.

My batteries for the testers came in and both of them are working again. I recalibrated them and the old tester put up a bit of a fight but it works. The old tester takes about 45 seconds to arrive at the final reading while the new one settles in about 15 seconds. I'm thinking of getting some electrode cleaner to see if that will help rejuvenate the old tester. In the meantime, the new tester is my every day tester and the old one is now the back up. I always make sure to put a little storage solution in the cap to keep the electrodes moist.

I used up my old PH Down solution which was nitric acid and I have some new stuff which is citric acid. It seems the citric acid isn't as strong and requires about double to balance the ph.

Day F48

All is well in the flowering room. The buds are swelling and the plants are showing Fall colors. The harvest will start on Day 57 and be completed by Day 62. I'm hoping for 450 gr from this harvest. Yesterday I cut off a bud from one of the Iced Skunk and it'll be dry enough to smoke in 3 days. This has been an easy grow, only one stake used and no training. I'm quite happy with the grow op so far this season.
