Ok i took some time off from growing to try and figure out why my plants all died last time.

Well sad to say i never figured it out but im going to start another round.

Im going to be using 160 watts of flouro's for veg till i can hopefully get my mh conversion bulb from insidesun.
Its been out of stock for 3 weeks already !

I started 6 beans but 3 have rotted without ever popping shell.

So i have 1 thats above soil 1 that has a nice long taproot and another that hasnt cracked yet.

Ill be running the 1k hps for flowering but that wont be for at least 2 months.
Im going for a full 60 day veg with these babies.
Im hoping to get some nice 4 foot plants going after the initial stretch for flowering.

Ill be using the recycled soil from my last grows along with my 10-15-10 ferts for veg and im thinking of going with my 10-52-10 for flowering but im not too sure yet.

Ill get some pics up soon but theres not too much to see here.

Harry i havent given it a flush i just let it dry up and then keep moving it around.
I think they ferts in it are getting lower and lower since this is the third time its being used.

Oh and Bartender i already got the 1k hps but they still owe me a mh conversion.
When i got my light the bulb was out of stock but it was supposed to be sent like 2 weeks ago.
Ill have to call them again this week sometime.

Ok in a few days ill have everything setup in the basement for this grow.

Im going to germ 6 more beans to go with the 1 seedling i already have sprouted.

I plan on giving them a 2 month veg time and super cropping them at around 1 month and again 1 week before going into flowering.

Im planning on getting 4 out of 7 females ( i hope )

So with 4 females im hoping to get close to a half pound.

Thats not too much per plant i dont think.
2 Ounces per plant under a 1k hps sounds resonable doesnt it ?

2 oz per plant is doable I'd be very happy with that.

I used Insidesun for my 1st light, will be getting a 1000 watter from them too.

there is nothing wrong with just using the HPS to veg u know, its only slightly helpful to use the mh, keeping things a bit more stocky thats all

Yea but i paid the extra cash for the conversion so i would like to receive it.

Ill be heading down into the basement later today to get it cleaned up and tomorrow i should have everything setup down there.

As if you couldnt tell i have gotten most of everything into the basement now.
For right now i still only have 1 seedling but am germinating some more as i type this.

I think i hung my 1k hps around 5 and half feet above the floor so im hoping thats noeugh room to not give the plants too much heat but enough light.
I have that fan right next to the plants for safety also.

I am hoping to get some nice 3-4 foot plants while growing down there this winter season.
It gets cold down there but i have a space heater and the 1k should give off enough heat to keep it mid 70's down there.

I was thinking of turning on the 1k but i think i want to veg with the flouros for 1 month then kick on the hps for another month of veg then flower.

Any ideas or sggestions or even questions dont be scared to ask or say them lol.

Hi Rabbitt,
I see that space will not be you problem
you can veg them with HPS (till you get you bull) and with the fluro together it will work great.

So what your saying is slide the flouros to the side a bit and turn on the hps then ?

If thats the case then how effective will the flouros be unless i tilt them somehow to give light still along with the hps coming down from the sky.

Just had a mishap hapen in the basement.

My wife comes running up the steps yelling my lights fell

So in a rush i run down to find both of my flouros had hit the ground for some reason and one was out.
It had fallen into some water that slips out of my washer tubing and had gone out.
Its drying right now and i hope it still works but if it doesnt it was only 12 bucks total.

The other one is still working and i have it on along with the 1k.

Man that thing is bright as shit in the basement.

I got my temp gauge up to tell me just exactly how hot it gets down there with it on.

Im just waiting on the other beans to pop now so i can get those down there also and start reaching for the ceiling.

Edit i thought my 1k hps had fallen from the ceiling to the floor which would have forced me to probably break everything else lol .

Well sometime next week im going to have tear down all of my stuff because the insurance inspector is coming by to check over my house.

I dont see this as a problem but a hassle seeing how i just put it all up not but 2 days ago.

Thank god it only takes a hour or so and i can get it back up and running again.

I know what you mean about having to take things down and put them up again because of inspections man.

I have to do it every 2-3 months,its a real pain in the ass.

Your seedling looks good, hope it works out for you growing this time round

After a few days under the 1k hps it has just started to take hold after a transfer to a pot with soil in it.
Its starting to stretch for light even though theres 1,000 watts of hps above it lol.
Im sure it wont stretch too much so im not worried.
I have another seedling that just popped soil and is starting to open its cyts. I have to go away for a few days this weekend so im kinda scared of leaving them but i think they will be fine and im hoping to return to a few more seedlings above soil.

Ill take and post some new pics on tuesday when i return home.

Just an update for everyone who has stopped in and was wondering when id put one up.

As you can see i only got 2 seeds to pop so im hoping on getting a girl between them in order to clone them.

Im going to veg them until the end of this month in hopes for a christmas harvest time and a new years smoke-a-thon.

Just went back down into the dungeon and can tell they both have grown a small amount over night.

Its hard to tell when you see them everyday but i can tell they have grown.

Wont be too long now before i clone the bigger one to get some idea of sex of it. Probably another week or two.

Also do you think i should move them closer to the light cause theres no heat issues till around a foot and a half away from the bulb.
Im thinking to moving them closer so they dont get too much stretch on and get as much light as needed.
