Nachilloo used to post in a thread of mine
Here's one of his pics...Punto Rojo :)

Nachillo told me 7 Punto Rojo dad's were selected of 50

I was recently told Nachillo was female

Sadly Nachillo stopped posting , Punto Rojo Genetics were contributed to Charlie Garcia Work with Punto Rojo from Nachillo . If i recall i believe it was from Tolima or Santa marta

I was told I could find Frankincense in this Line , you know very well how I feel about that 😏 ⛪

Godspeed on your pollination

Since you asked for input.
I find it difficult to do a proper open pollination flowering males and females together.
Often, early males dominate the whole project.
What I prefer to do is to flower the males first, collect the pollen, then flower the females and paintbrush on the pollen to each branch of the female. This guarantees you know the father of each seed you make.

I like to let the females hit about 5 weeks of flower to pollinate them. This allows for the most seeds to be produced.
Then I let the seeds develop for 5+ weeks. There's no issue taking an 8 week plant to 11+ weeks to let seeds mature.

You can also use Ag30 bags to cover your females to better time and open pollination when you can't separate the males from females.
I appreciate you sharing your experiences and insight . Especially regarding times and stages

You've sparked my brain

I think I'll take the 1 earlier male out as he matures to collect and hand pollinate. I dont want excess of the early male offspring is my thought

I've hand pollinated before with specific pairings in mind . Also because it was necessary to isolate the male from the crop because full pollination wasnt the goal

I like the thought of 1:1 pollination because there are many traits i don't desire or wish to breed for. Some things I'd like to see direct with specific parents carrying desired traits

I don't want early Hazes in my selections . I don't want sweet in my skunk hybrids, why would I open pollinate to preserve something I dont desire .

I understand preserving soo that is this attempt, lame considering the count but Unique considering status of current Culture and Cookie monsters

You see my love for Haze from Outdoors in NYC Noreaster to a 5x5 tent stacked to the Max . One life to live, to Create or find your Grail

I've also done my first reversal last summer season Lotta hybrids I successfully created.

I've made my first Haze hybrid hitting my Original Haze #9 with a heavy hitting BLD Sk/Puck and my second Haze pairing was the Red Gold extreme NLD oldschool Lumbo reunion was the idea

I also did a Pnw Hp backcross of sorts with a hint of Tk , she makes everything better except Haze 😆. I Reversed the Pnw Hp x Tk via Csi humboldt and hit a selected Skunk / Puck #15 . Mom is no longer with us but 2 bigger sisters are . This variety was as tasty outdoors as it was indoors

This variety seeded outdoors was delicious

I did some other pairings and reversals
We have a chem91 S1 I pollinated with the Skunk puck . I think medicine will be found

Firstly

My Red Gold Update

Everything in the Flower tent was chopped I started a new Run I wasn't happy with the size of plants. It seems i flowered to early and topping wasn't beneficial .

I prefer to start over than waste 6 months or so not getting the most potential of the genetics

Soo my wheels are spinning with each moment of experience

The pollination tent update week 4

The Red Gold males and

Original Haze #4 was flowered 1 week after the Red Gold but is barely showing sex

Is this result of Bld contamination in the Bsc colombian Gold or the evolution of the genetics through years of contamination etc

My thoughts if @MadMac Original Haze reproduction used Sams Genetics from 1976 and this Punto rojo was collected in mid 2000's I have no idea of the Year stock.was collected that Nachilloo used

Then the Brazilian seed co Colombian Gold collected in mid 2000's there is much time that hybrids could have been introduced in Colombia and contamination of the NLD

Also curious for opinions

I found one Red Gold male that threw a pistil he was chopped At first sight . Is this a sign of older unworked landrace or inferior genetics ?

open pollination

There is a red gold # 4 my longer flowering Female that is few weeks older . I have snuggled up to my late RedGold #6 male

I have noticed purple striping on Red Gold male #2 i like her structure . Male #6 i like the spacing of nodes and formation of Pollen sacs
