question for sam the skunkman on the original haze

well seems like it's about time for sam to finally unveil the "haze" files upon the next generation

altough, why do it, it's much easier to flame everyone and their momma of being misinformed and claiming everyone is violating the mysteries wanna be daddy/pimp?

i mean, it's like sugar coating the skunk talk, and explaining that it was actually no good, and the only scam skunkman seeds availible are skunk hybrids or skunk hybrid...

the craziest and most obscure thing is, during that time, the states were kind of overinfluxed with the most exotic imports (mostly sativa), but the accessibility to imports and inablity to cost effectivly cultivate it at home, led to a similar situation still ongoing. and drove many folks to "experiment" with domestical cultivation (most likely with the intent to cut out the hassles of importing and having folks dippin their fingaz in every customer service request fullfilled....

so here we sit many moons later, and speculate most likely about a polyhybrids origins and chasing it, while so many more lesser "hyped" smokes are disappearing (thaistick, columbians, africans, ...)

I understand your feelings an you have expressed this opinion in both threads ( here an True origins )which i havnt resdponded directly to . While i dont see eye to eye with Sams post i havnt an wont call him out of his name an i ask you to do the same .This thread is open for discusssion an we can share our opinions but do soo respectfully

If you would like a response from him This is definetly not the way to get one . Ill tell you 100% positively you wont get more info from Sams unless he one day writes a book/article on his histories . I have more questions but what more can i exspect after he acknowledges my article is mostly true fact


Lesser hyped or not as Special remember Ohaze was from import of Punto Rojo considered by G to be the Best at the Time .If i recall in other words Sams stated santa Cruz Ohaze was the Best homegrown an loose thai the best import ever . Soo Im thankful Sams tried to prserve what he thought was best .

Dont forget we have some amazing generous Folk/Breeders who are prserving an spreading such as Ace seeds an CBG charlie Garcia who are currently offering Pure sativas such as Ghana west africa / Colombian Punto Rojo / Colombian Mangobiche

just finished 15 oghaze ladies "earliest" went 130 days longest was still flowering at 170...electric motivation,elevation of mind and soul,enhanced senses almost hallucinogenic.smells like coconut cat piss tastes like creamy incense,my keeper.....

I love the bud structure of this pheno stacked calyxes ,frosted Foxtails .I also love to hear the mention of Catpiss an Incense ,2 traits im very familiar with .

I imagine the 15 ladies were from seed stock

Id really love to know more about the Genetics (all an any info you can share) .Im curious is this Haze line available to the public or private ?an who might offer it ?

If possible id love to also hear about the other phenos Traits

I recall when you posted the first pic I assume the ladies are all harvested .Is this Keeper pheno (picture) the early one or the 170+ pheno I assume the later from her looks

hello bigherb ojd!i'm a fan been following your investigations for years!!
genetics these 15 are f2's i made from sams original haze x skunk 1 freebies from around 07,i grew around 30 females (i started slowly but was hooked after the first toke she's a beauty as you know!).
ive made lots of crosses with her she shines a real beauty.
i made the f2's from oghaze2 x oghaze 1 a male that was as close to her in flowering time,structure and odor,i cant keep clones for any length of time (legal situation) so had to f2 in order to preserve her.....
heres some pics of the 130 day girls....

it's quite odd that the catpiss pheno popped up she was individual a sister had a similar odor but nowhere near as loud,out of the original's none had her odour,the f2's throw up very interesting phenos...
she went around 150,there seemed 3 distinct phenotypes the early fat callyx types finishing first...

Love the buzz of this strain,especially the longer flowering pheno,seems the longer the more electric,a bit racy even for me.
Once you have tasted these ladies its really hard to think of a more powerful strain.

with regards to the difference in effects between the phenos the later ones are cleaner the effects are 100% in the head no brain foggyness,no body all brain but they are very easy to overdo,when i smoke to much i get jittery and have almost a sense of vertigo when standing up or moving to quickly.
the early ones have a more rounded high much more enjoyable....

the trouble with the late one's its almost a diminishing returns situation the difference between them and the 130 day pheno's isnt really enough to warrent the space and time,and growing a plant indoors that is still flowering at 5/6 months is very hard,my late phenos had to be chopped cos they were gettin burnt by the lights..

The Late pheno is very sexy ,I also love the first pic of the 130 day pheno .

Are the Traits of taste an aromas anything different from the Catpiss/Incense in the F2 ?

I can see why you are hooked an have preserved

As to the Clear cleaner effects ,It reminds me of like good espresso ,the way i love to start my day .I was speakin with Coz recently an he was saying how smoking haze to start the day give him a much better Outlook an overall feeling the rest of the day

I have a haze question that's really for haze afficinados in general... What traits did the original haze #19 have that it was selected for? Was it stouter, stronger, smellier, colorful, ect... I've done multitudes of searches, read alot, not sure how much is conjecture and how much is fact. Basically, why was the 19th plant out of however many plants were grown, chosen?

Figured if somebody out there knows, or could direct me to places that I could research myself, this would be the place to ask.



P.S. ~ I've read this entire thread before, and Sam S. specifically said the haze #19 was a wernard/positronic selection, I believe.

gorgeous bro! theres nothing like a pure haze... (flying dutchmen, seedsman) the only two vendors in europe whose haze seems legit. and yeah, never found a phenotype which flowered less than 14+ weeks, hence something for the patient crowd. would love to get me hands on the sam haze (thai) x skunk ...

Haze 19 was grown by me, I just numbered my Haze seedlings 1-1000, #19 is what they were interested in, If I remember correctly they used seeds from Haze 19 to make their line, I don't think it was a Haze 19 clone I gave them....

Couple years ago, wanted to grow out a Skunk/Haze, but could only really afford Nirvana's Haze19/Skunk at the time. She did really well, although I had to take her a couple weeks early due to security issues at the spot. No idea about Haze19 on its own, but for the price, I really enjoyed Nirvana's version. Then again, no idea how authentic it is.

kamyo - I have a Haze19xSkunk from Nirvana in cure now. She's an interesting plant growing-wise, that's for sure. Smells like grapes and pine needles. Have yet to smoke her.
