Santa Cruz is awesome....wish I had met Sam....
I was just in Santa Cruz yesterday night. Wish I would of stayed the night. The drive back to Mendocino was a long one.
Santa Cruz is awesome....wish I had met Sam....
The big merry go round on the Santa Cruz Boardwalk was set up for grabbing rings. I have a method of grabbing 6-8 rings per revolution. You have to lean forward as far as you can, spread and swing all fingers, and lean back fast to keep grabbing. I usually always got the brass ring. Yep got high on that beach lots of times. Fished off the pier. Lots of overcast early mornings beachcombing.
Sam,
THANK YOU for putting this out so long ago. Here is Ace seeds Pure Purple Haze (Old Timer's Haze purple pheno selection and inbreeding) at 24.5 weeks. About 2-3 weeks left to chop. How close is this to your original purple haze? I can't imagine they get much more sativa than this one.

"We're talking about the Original Haze from The Flying Dutchmen, which doesn't list its flowering times nearly at 26 weeks"
What is the 26 weeks about? I have grown Haze a lot, but 26 weeks? WTF??

Yields decent enough for me. Its the product i go to for a real treat, pepper and
old wood, like the way an antique shop might smell.
Long cure, for me, pulls everything together if you know what I mean.
Smooth smoke, mild taste. Caramel and slight hickory.
Yup.
Sam or anyone else with good knowledge of haze what would you say is the best cross that best haze in seed form to get ... I've had just a few hazes like ssh, nevilles haze , blue and purple haze but none take me back to the haze I'd get back in the later 80s and early 90s
so here we sit many moons later, and speculate most likely about a polyhybrids origins and chasing it, while so many more lesser "hyped" smokes are disappearing (thaistick, columbians, africans, ...
