The shitty part is that a friend of mine started his SourBubble BX3 earlier than mine, and let it get HUGE outside.. Somehow the plant flowered wayy early (43N) and by the time she was like 4 feet tall, she was growing male flowers somewhere at the end of June..

hey marcellas ive never lost a cut within reason my method is to just buy one of them 7 dollar plastic domes and use rockwool as your medium.
the temps need to be from 60 to 100 and only water the rockwools once or even every two days, the secret is to water them when theyre almost dry. use this and youll have roots in no time..as far as storing it you will need to plant it and grow it under some compact fluros no getting around that, i mean you cant just freeze it or something.nice bubble all the sbs i tried to grow where mutated or too low of yielders to keep around,i keep low yielders if theyre dank but i found MY sour bubble bx2s to be very average for all the work . peace and good luck taking a clone peace.

thanks for the advice Colorado King! I guess I'm going to have to try to clone her, just need to find a place to keep her living!! i swear I've heard of people storing clones in plastic bags with a little water, in the fridge for a few months..

ive only had experience with the SourBubble BX3's- ive heard of some mutated plants and BOG's strains don't always yield the highest, but his genetics have always been known by myself and manyyy others to be some BOMBB quality!! :D

for sure i think i just got some bad phenos i didnt run very many either,
the reson i didnt keep it was because i have other dankness that yields about the same and is waaay nicer and when eat the sourbubble plant material i didnt like the taste. the mutant i had looked exzactly like celery lol wish i had the pics from og.

you could try to freeze a clone and tell us how it works ive also heard of that but never saw it done,so i wouldnt put much faith in that if you NEED to keep the genetics.
well ill be rooting for ya :) peace

Have you ever heard of bonsai or using LST or topping plants? You get a clone rooted and you bend, top and trim it to keep it small. There's no reason you can't keep a plant alive and well under 30W of flouros until you're ready to take clones from her to put outside next year. Many people do this, do a search for bonsai plants and see what I mean.

Don't lose those genetics if you like them keep them alive. I'm not sure if there's anywhere to get BOG's gear anymore is there?

Here's a Lifesaver mom I'm trying to keep small, lot's of trimming and tying growth shoots and roots, but it is possible.

thanks for the feedback King!

Closet Hack - yupp, either today or tommorow I'm gonna take a few clones, and try to keep one for a mother plant. Than I'll just take clones of that for next season outdoors!! A few friends and I have agreed to put together grow setup's that will attempt to keep the SourBubble BX3 genetics alive.. Any advice on cloning outdoors to indoors??

there was a nice rainshower after the newest pics I posted of my girl on page 3. since than it has been sunny and a bit cool and dry too. next time I check on my SBbx3 girl I'll be taking better DIGI-cam pics, before and after the cloning process!! :D
Feedback appreciated, stay tuned!! :D

So we went out to check on her today, she's getting HUGE! Bushier and green, more hairs are developing on he branches, some buds are beginning to turn PURPLE!!! :D mustve been from those cold nights..
..I took some more pics that I'll get up later :)

Me and my friend took 2 clones from the bottom of my SourBubble, leaving just a branch with the bottom node intact. I cut the branch at an angle, and put it inside a wet cloning cube (i hink its a cube, it has netting with soil inside).. anyways, the clone's stem is in the wet cube, in a white plastic cup with some water and perlite surrounding at the bottom. I covered the cup with plastic wrap and poked a few hoils to contain hummidity.
.. I have my SBbx3 clone in my windowsill now. I want to put her under CFLs and flouros but last time I tried the heat from the cup/plastic wrap and light killed my clones I think.. Any advice guys??

Sounds like shes doing good.

Did you put any rooting hormone on the stems before you stuck them into the medium? I hope they both root anyways, just make sure you keep your humidity up.

After I cut mine I put them in rooting powder(no1 i think) then gel.

nope, I have no rooting hormone. so I just stuck them in the soil cube in netting, ontop of some perlite with a little water. I put plastic-wrap with holes in it over the cloning cup for humidity with my SourBubble :)

wish me luck

Cuttings do not need much light to root, infact they will root in the dark. I had a power outage that lasted for 4 days this year, my cuttings were probably taken 2 or 3 days prior to the outage and when the lights came back on they all had very well developed roots. Just keep the CFL at least a foot or more above the clones or just ambient light will do. Mine usually go to the very outsides of my veg cab and are shaded by the larger plants.

Also I would ditch the saran wrap and buy some clear plastic cups, I usually cut the top ring off (where you would drink from), poke 1 hole in the bottom and place it upside down on top of the cup the cutting is in. Instant humidity dome and it diffuses the light a little more.

wow, thanks for the ideas Closet Hack! I'm using the same red cups I'll look for the clear ones.. are u cloning your plants in just plain water?? I have my SBbx3 clone in my windowsill right now and it looks healthy with the soil cube and perlite :)

I use peat pellets for cloning during the summer (it's too humid for my bubble cloner mold issues) and the bubble cloner during the colder dryer months. Just make sure you don't keep the cube too moist. I usually don't water or mist the clone or the pellet after the first time, only mist the dome after it dries out.

well my clone is healthy and humidity has been pretty good in her plastic cup. That SourBubble clone smells niceee :D
Only problem is that a leaf on the bottom of the clone's leaves began die from the tips, so i clipped the leaf-blades leaving about 70% of the leaf's blade intact.. other than that, the clone's leaves are still green and she looks healthy, hopefully she'll be rooted soon!!

As for my SourBubbleBX3 girl outside, it's been very cloudy, dark and cool outside and I haven't checked on her since I got the clone. When I saw her she looked veryy happy and healthy with the new-forming buds beginning to turn purple!! That was after a slight rain shower followed by a few sunny nice days, but I'm sure she's doing good. :)
.. The weather calls for rain all day tommorow, but as soon as dries up I'll get a chance to check her out. I PROMISE next visit I'll bring my digicam with me instead of my shit cell-cam, and get some real quality pics of my healthy girl and the buds beginning to form!! :lurk:

Going out to get pics!!

Going out to get pics!!

Some leaves are beginning to yellow/curl up from the blade tips on the clone. A leaf on the lowest node of the clone died and fell off.. But other than that, there is mostly green in the leaves and I believe the SourBubble clone should start rooting soon! Lets hope that I can keep BOG's genetics in my gardens :)

But as for my SourBubble bx3 girl who's loving the sun outside, she's beginning to flower nicely!! She stopped bushing out when the budsites began to form, but still looks big, green, and healthy.. I checked on her a couple days ago and the buds are really starting to build up all over the plant!! The white hairs arround the branches at the top of the plant have turned into hairy gumball-sized nuggets.. There's some nice chrystal build-up for buds this young, and man do they reeek!! :yummy:
.. I took off a HUGE fanleaf to get sunlight to the buds, and also a couple half-dead branches from the bottom of my SB girl.

I'm going out in a few minutes with my DIGI-CAM to get some actual quality pictures!! I'll do my best to get good pics of the buds, and the plant as a whole.. :D
