Pure Thai Sativas

y;ea i dunno about that really ,
i think the prize definitely goes to the american government and its war on drugs ,
if they had their way , there would have been no cannabis left by now when they finally realized it has medicinal qualities .... no thanks to the folks who were keeping it going and risking their freedom to do so of course ....
Arjan is a saint compared to those guys ... i doubt his meddling has made much affect at all really , im with you on the douche part though , definitely cant argue there ,
but destroying landraces , na , barely a drop in the ocean especially when u compare him to the real culprits ...

What a douche! Arjan is one of the largest responsible for the destruction of land race cannabis.
I don't think the autoproclamed "King of Cannabis" can reach so far. However he contributes to it spreading his painted hybrid seeds and his growing operations ad far as he can.

The main risk is globalization, drug cartels and the market dominated by the strange love that young customers feel for those laughable teeny weeny plants with stinky rotten thick buds.

Also puppet governments under the DEA direction have made a lot of damage as Donald says.

It is at least striking, that psychoactive Cannabis is beggining to be legalized when most weed is mostly couchlocking hybrids instead psychedelic tripping sativas.

 I thought the colored seeds were ridiculous too

Not to mention the general crumminess of the genetics. The SSH my buddy grew lacked resin and the super lemon haze was anything but super
He’s hooked up with Burner now.
I grew a a few strains of theirs the white Rhino and the Super lemon haze were two of the best strains of grown of 30 years.
Great outdoors. It’s a lottery sometimes

Some of these fly by night seed companies can pump out some great smoke. Laughing Buddha from Barneys is still today one of my favorite sativa runs
Yeah I’ve heard it’s good.
Barney’s gets a bad wrap from some people too.
I grew a few of their strains.
Cookies Kush pheno I had was amazing, the smell was pure baked cookies.
Taste was the thin mint , with a real creamy aftertaste.
Nice hybrid high.

Some of us "Fly by Night" pollen chucker's can pump out some great smoke as well. The main thing many of these outfits have is brand awareness. They've been around for awhile and they've created a market for their goods. You, me, and anyone else is fully capable of creating as good or better strains of weed.

Im a landrace sativa enthusiast myself and dont know the first thing about breeding yet, but i get what youre saying. It would be nice if some of them made regular seeds more often but I suppose thats what the market demands

Howdy pardner, Texan too FWIW. I still have some of a friend's best collection of bagweed seeds from the 80's and 90's. He only saved the best from stuff he sold and smoked. Why I don't try them I don't know. I'm thinking about crossing that with some Ace sativas still in the fridge like their Golden Tiger X Panama.

I grew some Mex bagweed decades ago in the backyard in south Texas and it was a great clear sativa high. Mel Franks wrote "Mexican can be some of the best weed you can grow". That book was back in the 80's.

Word has it that's the old Mex sativas have been turned into the old hybrid mutts. 6 months ago I asked a friend who lives half of his life near Mazatlan how the Mex weed was and said it sucks. Said no matter what he smokes down there it's crap and he should know, he's a "gringo", married a Mex woman, has 3 kids living in Mexico, is friends with a few of the Jalisco CJNG cartel members.

.....but I digress.

Its funny i always thought the bagweed i got in south texas 25 years ago was sativa, because of the electric buzz. But a man from Guerrero told me that as soon as most farmers there found out about afghanicas in the early 80's, and the better yield and short flowering time, that most of them immediately started growing them instead. So sativas started becoming rare there some time ago. But i love mexican sativa too. The closest to the real thing ive grown is Honduras from Ace and its been a favorite of mine since i tried it

I have a pack of Orient Express that I'm planning on starting end of summer indoors. I've heard nothing but good things. I'm sure we won't be disappointed. ACE has some really good genetics. I haven't grown the Panama/Malawi but I've grown straight Panama and Malawi. Both are exceptional. But that Malawi can devastate some people. The Panama is a great smoke but that Malawi can be a killer. Leaves some people stuck in a state of paranoia for a couple hours.

ACE has regulars of just about everything they offer. If you haven't already and want a spectacular sativa experience you need to invest the time to grow some of their Old Timers Haze. It might take 20 weeks to flower but the end result is just spectacular. You have to grow it as you can't buy weed like it anywhere.
