Yeah, I think it's the same one - the stink description is bang-on - fruit with extreme diesel/acetone overtones - almost like peardrops if you get it right, but with that full-on hashy, musky scent that you can smell right down the street - partly why I don't grow it indoors anymore.

And neither does the guy who's kept a mother plant going for years and years - he finally got a knock on the door recently, with the police dudes mentioning that the neighbours had reported a 'strange smell'. They didn't have a warrant, and amazingly, he convinced them it was 'someone else down the street', and got it all out quick after they left. Strange but true.

So he's asked me if I have anything 'less smelly' to start back up again with. Have I...:)

I should also probably mention at this stage that my five seed-plants of my new cross, which is the Mystery Strain X Flo, are looking very nice, at about eight inches, and five nodes, I think - most have purple stems, and look very strong and vigorous, with no crinkles - I'm hoping that this cross will slightly reduce the stink, add a little sativa crispness to the high and more berry to the flavour, but still keep the heavy yield and extreme vigour of the smelly Mystery Strain.

I've often mentioned I'm a little bored with it personally, so this might get my jaded appetite moving again. I also reasoned if I can find an exceptional female, I might be able to get some of the hardcore smelly growers to swap it over. I'm thinking of calling it 'OverFlow'...:)

No, 'the blues' is definitely different - much more rich and earthy-smelling than the Mystery Strain, which has more of a tang to it, and more of a perfume too, but the blues does smell more like 'blueberries', though I'm realising now that's a very subjective concept.

The two new Blueberries I'm running smell very different to each other, but there's still a common 'family smell' that they both share, which is similar to blueberries, but I'm also getting banana, and all kinds of other secondary smells coming through now - great fun...:)

Some quick Psychosis buddage shots for ya from a friend's Aero grow.Chopped a week or so early due to security issues but delicious and stinky. This example has lots of over-ripe Melon/Pear fragrance and tastes sweet/hashy on the tongue for a long time after exhale.
I have my Ex-Mum Psychosis flowering now for 3 weeks or so in one of my bloom spaces and shes a wide little beauty,I will post some pics when I can......
First 3 pics Psychosis and bottom pic is of CELERY aka PL14(top) and PPSkaze(below).

nice shot`s Londinium......

im defo feelin the phyco vibe,,,,cant wait to taste them mellons myself
,,,,,hmmmm,, lovely over ripe mellons.....:)

i think doc is trying to simpifi this ,,,,i hate to complicate it ,,and forgive me if im wrong ,"but" il try to explain it in more detail,,,on Rks and Cheese,,,.....check this out man,,,,,,rks is samS old skunk1 from the USA mid 1970`s, sam moved/relocated to Amsterdam during the 70`s where he selectively removed some of the Afghan traits from the SK1 line "this project in holland resulted in what samS called SweetSkunk",,,,,so rks is actualy SK1 pre Holland...samS still has old pre SweetSkunk seeds, they could be classed as RKS seeds,,RKS seeds have never been used by dutch seed companys,SweetSkunk is the only Sk1 the dutch seed companys have ever had

Cheese is an Afghan dom sensi seeds Sk1 ibl ,from samS "sweet skunk stock" .....sam allways said SweetSkunk was better,,an apparently everyone agreed "it tastes better"........when samS saw Cheese he said it was a perfect example of SweetSkunk....

that acrid acertone "un weedlike" smell is pre Amsterdam,,,

oh,,samS said the Rks was changed to SweetSkunk partly because the Afghan trait would go through brick walls,,,,Cheese will go through a brick wall,, but it wont smell bad,, i think Cheese has the best of both worlds

Think Sam reworked skunk #1 towards a sweeter line after moving to Holland.

If in doubt ask him!

When Sam got to Holland he "traded" the Californian genetics with Wernard and Eddy for their Dutch lines.

Sam has since suggested that the Skunk #1 seed that Cheese came from,, were from Sacred Seeds.

Ask him,, he's gospel on such things :canabis:

Hope this helps.
