Project Re-Veg,Clone and Make feminized seeds

I tried to keep it out of the soil (the silver)....It didn't take more than a week of spraying to wack it out pretty good. I've got a pic somewhere,I'll try to find it.....okay here you are:
picture.php

Here's the end result....H2 (seed #2)

I see the familiar reveg look. Is that "browning" the CS?

Yes...you can't see it in the pic,but it also has a blackish/silver thing going on as well. That poor plant.........I'm pretty happy with the end result even though I only got 3 seeds...I've since loaded H2 up with two types of pollen and have gotten many seeds from both types. I plan on crossing the F1's back to her again. She's been a nice lady, and I'm not done with her yet.

Nothing beats friends that know things! Thanks!

These guys are looking good here and may I introduce Jack (the cat) He is flattening out the mung beans and can you believe it about another ten weed sprouts. I knew some seeds fell but so far the count has to be around 30.
No worry they will get back up. he didn't eat them this time..

I know many will suggest a long day but Capt the 14/10 is proving to be quick in the reveg too. So we all share and learn.

Thanks again.. That CS picture was a major clue and I appreciate that.

This is an arrival of the journey I had with my friend of 14 years.

The big plant on the right is where she slept in the garden. She picked that corner as her place and it is where the Sweet girl grew. So it's a human thing that I assign meaning to these two plants with the one the name-sake of my most excellent friend. I want to lock this genetic moment in a generation in. I want to be able to pop one in the soil for years to come.

Besides Feminizing is another activity isn't it?
I've done a lot of the activities this site has to offer especially the mental-melt downs.. LOL There is something funny about having a fight on the internet...

On the strain. I feel that it is special because it is the best treatment for my mood disorder issues I have ever had with that walk in the woods loving nature hippy-trippy feeling. I describe it as an Indi-haze effect. There is a clear up energy with a bit of indica buzz. So I have no problem doing the daily business with this strain yet do have the benefit of the "buzz-high" of a good stone.

The Tiki-jo sweet flowers with a scent like Juicy-Fruit gum. Naturally these are just F1's so there is work to do ( learning to do ) on improving and stabilizing but I feel these girls are worthy of saving in seed form.

I had clones but the new adult Tom cat found the mother room on a cold day and made a bed on the clones. He's not a bad cat really and once I explained ( gently ) he has never caused harm again even though he is allowed to nap in there. He just avoids the plants now. He knows they are special and likes to eat the green leaf but he wants my love more. That is the trick in cat training. They will do what they feel you want and do so with loyalty if they know the rewards are there for being good.

I am a solitary man. I have found pets to be a comfort well that and the internet. I used to say two wives and three girlfriends later i still have my cat. I guess now I can say I still have a few beans left to remind me of a better time.

As for why would i do this? Well I've lived with a medical recommendation since 1999. That means in the beginning I had no one to trust with my garden but the forums. Like many have. So i have been sharing what i do for over a decade and it's a bit of a competition to produce an interesting thread. I dig it that people like my efforts and since I am used to keeping my garden secrets on the internet it's safer than bringing friends over for a peep-show.. Word!

So the bottom line is it fills a social need for me.

it's "Rare" in that it represents an arrival and a departure. The arrival of a good medical strain and the departure of a beloved friend.

Thanks for the praise. It's all about putting one foot in front of the other in reading the forums, sharing and growing the plant. We all have to learn and it just takes daily effort to achieve something. If i look like I have some skill set I promise you I have learned right along with everyone else.

Did I tell you when i went to Berkeley Ca to visit my very first dispensary where I saw seeds for sale with the female sign on the packs and asked if I could buy a pack with the male sign on it to make seeds for myself? Oh yes i was that green 10 years or so back. So making my own feminized seeds is liberating. Especially when they mean something to me personally.

So hang in.. This is going to take a while to do. The energy is one of love and peace here and that I hope transfers to these clones and the seeds.
Perhaps after November you can pick up a pack for your garden if California allows sales with the voter initiative.

No one will get a better understanding of the genetics than those that watch , question and learn right along with me.

Thanks

Subscribed. I love your attitude man..... I can see what u mean about putting together an interesting thread and the competition being there because there are SOOO many to choose from as a reader that u can only look at so many. :tiphat:

JTG, it looks like the re-veg is going fine. definitly got the funky 1 fingered growth and the 14/10 is interesting.

do you think that if it is re-vegging faster under 14/10 that it could be the 2 hr diff in light cycle from flower to veg instead of a greater diff depending on what your veggin under (18/6 or 24/0)?

i havent thought much about CS but i love learning so ill stick around and start absorbing.

What are the things in the soil there with Jack? (the green thing and the orange thing)

Mung bean plants and that is an apple. The apple is one of those fruits designed to be shippable and marketable. It has not decayed much in 7 months. It's a joke to remind me to be organic. Nice catch on the Apple.

My personal theory is that these are bred under the 14/10 and in the same clime so in essence they are dialled into being here if that makes any sense.

I wrote before that this is a sweet season weather and all so there are also very positive influences and a great organic soil hosting a healthy root network. <plug>

Hey welcome. I have enjoyed the friendship today and I welcome ya..

I meant the green plastic looking thing near the base of your plant, you already said the sprouts were mung beans in the original post. :)

Oh.. That's Bird and Bull! The Vietnamese mascots. They are from Vietnam.

They are the guardian spirits of the Garden.

I just checked on meaning so : I was born the Year of the OX and the Bird represents the OX's companion and it may well be a diving messenger as it is referred to.
The bird in Southeast Asia is to be understood first as part of an essential symbolic couple:

There is a rich history of symbolism in Vietnamese culture. http://www.reseau-asie.com/book/boo...d-symbolism-and-aesthetics-in-southeast-asia/

The Ox is a friend of the Farmer naturally and if "Bird" is a cow bird it is the friend of OX ( Bull ) so there is a symbolic relationship to me and the garden ( and pets )

That's it I think.. I did more thinking on that then I have ever before.

Update:
I had a nice surprise when I opened the box after a couple of days.

The skinny shoot has grown, fattened up and dropped over.
This means each node on that branch will grow straight up like a plant do. That alone is enough clone sites on the Tiki-jo sweet.

It's simply the exact kind of helpful growth i would want. I think the Spirit of Tiki-jo is with this grow.

Both plants are doing well but I still see the pistillate effort.

I notice the very Kush growth with pistillate growing on the stalks and no staminate growth any where. This has to be the most stressful point for these plants sexually and no male parts that I can see with a magnifying glass on either plant. Usually it's the staminate ( male parts ) I see on the stalks in Kush varieties.

Still some time to go. I'm after letting these guys relax back into growing the green leaf without pistils. Once

I have some Mung bean plants growing in there too and they will become "green manure" when they are big enough.

Also the Second and Third picture show a Bud that is stretching in reaction to the photo-period change. It's a great example of how buds are really modified leaf structures.

Just stopping by Jack. Have you made the Silver yet,or do you plan on purchasing some?
Was wondering if the stuff you can buy would work faster/better.

I have everything I need on hand but have not put it together.
I bought a PPM meter to see if I can get an idea on how well it works.

The LED panel is here also.

We shall see. I like doing new things.
