that lpxssh looks interresting ive grown both ssh and lp#1, it looks like you got the best out of both plants. maybe your pheno looks to be leaning on the ssh side.. foxtailing like a haze.. kinda
arctic sun its gonna be fun to see how this girl gets, last time i revegged her so i didnt flower her 100%. so its kind of new even though its the 2nd time around. its got a lot of LP in it too, but the bud shape is leaning to ssh maybe, but just a whole lot bigger. its kind of fluffy - but i bet it will get all crunchy and nice say frrrrosty
oh damn.. lots of clusters of male flowers on the ssh x lp.. such a shame on such a good yielder.. i cut of all lower nugs that were more or less finished, and left all the big top kolas (rugby ball sized buds). i picked away all male flowrs i could see. then i moved her to a room where some natural light enters.. since im not gonna be stressing over hermies in the flowering room.. and on the otherside im not gonna cut her down yet to loose all that sativa resin.. so i will continue picking of male flowers untill she is finished, and in the spot she is in now (the room) i gotto move her into a big wardrobe/room i got there to make sure she doesnt get longer days than 10 hours or so.
when she is finally done i will think about what to do with it. i doubt she will stop producing bananas so it will be stressing. my thought at the moment is to hopefully at least be able to make hash with her, so i will let her mature as much as possible before that. the lower nugs i cut today, ill smoke some i bet, but im planning to use it for a drysieving session.
gotto say i killed almost all clones of her and the big 3 plants i had in veg... the remaining clones i got of her i will most likelly bring up to the hills. gonna be fun to see what happens with them up there... i expect similar size nugs outside as indoors in my sweet spot - or even bigger..... and be fun for hash if they get too seeded out there.. more about that when its time..
i moved in 3 amnesia hazes i had vegging - they are all really tall, and i gotto get them out of the way, no space anymore for them in the veg... one of the following days i will cut of some branches etc to make sure they get about 3-4 main nugs each only. they are big and they are in a tight spot. gotto try to make all of them happy in there. also i threw in one more SSH x PTK since that girl is the saviour so early ready and sooo potent..
well gotto say this took the edge a little bit of things. i mean i was really looking forward to harvest this monster plant.. would have been dank smoke for most of summer. my gf thinks she is gonna yield more than 100g - in 5-7 top nugs..
im still waiting to harvest the 2 amnesia hazes.. the jaggen also needs some more time... and im getting more sure the 2 SSH x PTK's that are in end flowering will be cut before the AH and Jaggen...
the 2 Jaggens waiting to get polinated are starting to get in shape for a dusting. maybe ill wait one more week or so.. since i know shes about to burst into full on flowering soon..
hm hm.. the hermied SSH x LP has a nice smell im glad im going to get this oportunity to hash or oil hehe the smallest bottom nugs have very fine trichomes and i definetly think it would be a waste to dry sieve it instead that part goes to the BHO pile..
as i look at the top kolas it seems it easy could go maybe even more than a month from now.. its gonna be fun to see if it handles the move well...
we decided NOT to kill the moms etc of the SSH x LP. after examining the plant i realize the WHOLE DARN STEM is split lengthwise for about a foot almost. this could be reason for stress to cause hermies. gotto give her more test rounds to make 100% sure.
ill grab a pìc of the split.
have anyone else ever experienced hermies from heavy structural damage on the plants?
HI Bonecarver , my boyfriends thinking of converting from flood/drain to handwatered coco, but doesnt know how much water do you need to give them each day? how much water & how often do you give yours?
thnx
hehe got maybe 10 new little scars.. kittens kick ass this one is a little figther..
...
not working is making me find myself for hours on row just watching the plants.. love it - when all is tuned in.. but there is one strange thing. ONE plant out of 30 shows Calcium defiancy. im perplexed to why this would be... if it would be all then itd be a water issue, but since its only one.. there must be an other explanation. im going to give her calcium in next watering anyway, but itd be interesting know why only ONE plant is having this behaviour...
the SSH x LP that i took out from the flowering area im giving about 10 hours of light or so a day. i cant exaclty give her 12 hours, since itd be too hard to time it well. isntead i give shorter days to make sure she doesnt reveg atleast. also i think her flowering pattern is giving a hint of her wanting shorter days. she is actually only producing more and mroe white hairs at the moment, but the lowest nugs were completelly mature. all dark hairs. also gotto say these nugs are the most stringy sativa nugs i seen ever. no indica traits to be seen anywhere. no chunky clusters of calyx. just long stringy bits with lots of foxtailing stacked calyxes. the top part has FAT calyx, and its looking very promising if it continues like this.
meanwhile in the flowering room i gave the 4 new plants a heavy trimming and pistol-whipping session.. honestly they looked even happier afterwards one of the folowing days i will tie the branches apart a little bit.
as soon as i get any empty spots in the flowering room i will put in a few;
SSH x PTK, got 3 failr big ones in VEG i used for clones a few weeks back.. they are begging to get transplanted and flowered..
the Psychedelicia X Critical Mass (i heard now the psychedelicia is from sweet seeds yuk ) hope to JAH she is not gonna hermie.. dont trust the dude that did the cross a tiny bit even... but i been told the cut is good from other people.. so lets see.
Jaggen - want some on the side of the seed project so i got somethin to smoke too.. without seed hehe
the rest is still vegging on.. and will continue for a month or so
the coming clones are starting to root allready, and soon enough its time to start transplanting..
the coop partner is still building his grow area... hope to get that bit sorted ASAP got big plants waiting to go that way... would be nice to get em out, and transplant the clones i got for me in veg, the ones for my autumn flowering rounds...
my mates that recieved a few nugs from the last seed round have planted 2 seeds. gonna be fun to see. dont even know from wich cross it is. these are going to get grown with biological/ecological nutes, although i dont know if the bottles will be ok anymore.. its been long since we last had a go with them..
ok - the extreme hot weather makes the buds dry out really quickly.. this means i can smoke some of the lover nugs of the SSH x LP that was mature.. its a PECULIAR STONE. HEAVY and hazy. the smell is strongly acidic with a hint of something strange.. the flavour is SWEET, spicy, and with a lot of fruityness to it.
only downside is these lower nugs are really tiny and not too resinous, since the massive top nugs shaded them completelly..
the SSH x LP is actually looking like it is enjoying the change of environment. maybe the heat was too much for it... anyway - the main kolas still got a LONG time left. seems like im going to be pushing and draging it in and out the wardrobe for a month atleast to make sure its gonna keep flowering. i dont want to risk it starting to reveg, so... a mans gotto do what a mans gotto do..
rigth now they are recieving about 10hours and 20 minutes of light a day( +-20 minutes) they sure wont reveg like this.
once again the veg department is getting cleared out. have been delivering clones to the guys in the HOOD hehe and rigth now i got some breathing space. well.. kind of makes me spend more time in the flowering room.
im getting amazed with the AMNESIA HAZE, since i never seen it flower like it is now, before. maybe i finally got her a bit more tuned in. this time im also waiting for the FOXTAILS to finish as much as possible. to me it looks like it should have been around 11- to 12 weeks flowering allready, and its only the tips of the fox-tails that still are producing white hairs. im not flushing them untill i see the production goes down. they are still recieving steady doses of PK-13-14 and Panela to boost flower production. i use light doses of everything, and very low nute doses. it seems she likes it like that.
ALSO the JAGGEN looks promising and might surprise me in the end. its a massive small plant with ALL FAT NUGS. it cant even hold its own weigth...
one of the plants i got, that worse handles the spidermites is the SNOWDAWG.
MOST RESISTANT plant is AMNESIA HAZE. mites dont bother her at all..
one SSH x PTK in looking specially well yielding. i mean its still same clone, but it seems this time around she is just getting fatter and fatter nugs, all that even before any orange hairs are showing.. so she gonna get FAT...
mmmm lpXssh it should taste just like you've described it. sounds a very exiting flavor tbh.
`
its like.. imo the lp needs alittle more acid in the flavor.. and the ssh needs that little sweetness or debth/richness. they are both heavy yielding and potent as fuck..
its just a logic, good cross imo if you can find the right parents.
makes me wonder why noone has made this combo commercially. are you going to make another try with crossing them?
i reallize these spider mites are some ass to get rid of down there in the heat, but up here we just lower the temps to below 15degrees C. that kills them off.
usually a week with nights of 11-13 degrees does the bizniz.
the spidermites can be controlled by an aircondition system.. run nights with temps between 10 and 15 degrees. also try to not stack plants too tight.
aint nothing but nuclear blasts that gonna kill these spanish MUTANT mites in the temps we got they multiply with extreme speed. only thing that keeps them controlled are industrial grade poisons hehe
we tried every pesticide imaginable... until i descided to give up on the damn plants and just put them outside in the 10 degree temps we have here, and wont you be damned like some days later when i looked at them next time.. no mites.
