the ssh x ptk ( made by cloneman) is a great allround stone this particular pheno we keep as mom is very hazy and funny (fairly potent IMHO) and a bit later in the harvest window it gets quite coma inducing in some ppl

the thing is it doesnt get skinny with condicions involving more light etc - like outdoors it gets huge buds - on very short stout plants. not much for stretching etc - its like a PTK with skinnier leaf and a bit more mental high

im going to try to make f2's with her to be able to spread the goodies - but that will be for an other season

smell - is kind of sour and gingery nice and icky at the same time.

the taste is sweet and bitter, but with sour and fruity touches. dificult to describe really

harvested a bunch more of SSH x PTK the other day and now there is really only one more finishing off in there - and it should be done within a week or something - then i will have to wait for the 2 clones of SSH x PTK to get going - i think they atleast have 4 weeks to harvest - both of them - minimum.

meanwhile i am realizing once again that most reveged moms dont do well yield wise - specially since they arent transplanted or anyhthing - they have now been in the same coco for 6 months.

however the Cheese/Trainwreck is doing REALLY GREAT - obviously it has genetics that do like these condicions. i have to plant a nice amount of seeds of the cross of that with the male PTK - to see if i get a more hardy polyhybrid with some PTK potency in there..

also yesterday i cut 27 clones of the revegged moms that i havednt cloned yet. that is because i have seem the heat is affecting some of them fairly badly. the reveg chambers DONT have good ventilation.. im not going to bother to fix it either. got a small floor fan with them - and that will be enough for now...

now its time for the daily check-up of the plants..

Cool shit man. It's nice when your harvest gives ya exactly what you wanted in potency isn't it. I know I'm still in the "I'm ****ed up and I can't believe I grew this shit" stage. lmfao.

hehe there is allways some mess-ups in my growroom too

i just decided (after lots of thought) that i completelly messed up feeding the same nutes to the MUCH more nute hungry astrofog as to the low nute SSH x PTK. well - the SSH x PTK got really nice - smaller buds maybe than some harvests - but definetly good - atleast the first round - the 2 other rounds are still drying,, well anyway - the astrofog didnt recieve the necesary amounts to produce thick bud - so now i got a huge bush with VERY whimpy and ugly buds.. well sticks with brown hairs,, - honestly thought that will only do for BHO or ice hash..

i also decided to skip the astrofog for now, and later plant more of the crosses of holygong i planted last time anyway the BD x BG seems to be more my style of bud

just transplanted 2 ssh x ptk moms, and one Cheese x Trainwreck mom, and also one Super-G mom.

the X-18 x DC mom is not looking too good - but i hope it gets going - i took back up clones a few days ago from the healthy lush tips - so i hope the cut will survive

im having a look at the other astrofogs i got flowering - and they got PK from early on - AND are fattening up properly. im keeping her.

i just got a mess with all the different strains etc also i got to take in consideration the huge fluctuacions in temps i have around the year. this affects differently the genetics.

also the Cheese TrainWreck is getting out of control - it seems to be loving the heat and its just keeping fattening up. the enormoous resin content doesnt make it worse hehe this on the side of the Oaxacan sativa are the ones handling the heat and environment well

i decided to take out the other oaxacan because its the absolutelly ugliest plant i ever seen. no way it could produce anything. the problem seems to be root related. it doesnt even look like its from the same planet as the other oaxacan..

the super G looks resinous and it is fattening up - however - the heat is making it look a lot different than normally but its cool to know it can handle the heat too the revegged plants of the early Johnny deep and the LDS are looking a bit heat stressed.

as soon as i start building my next grow room i will definetly get cooltubes - or similar that lets thru more light. i definetly got to do it because the heat is such a big factor of stress during the summer months, it makes things much more anoying.

i remember last summers harvest and it was huge - BUT i had much more head space in the growroom - and the plants were literally huge. BIG plants seem to be tougher against stress - also each plant was in a 5 gallon container with drip. im seriously thinking these are the keys to success growing indoors in this heat.

also im wondring about any way of effectivelly cool the water to a certain temperature. im prepared to build an insulated rez as long as I find a way to cool it down. but thats for the future to solve..

hm i just checked out acuarium coolers.. they are a bit expensive but seem necesary here in the summer... i wonder if they use a lot of electricity.. hehe

Bonecarver, check these out. The owner of Texas Hydro has patented these and has set up his own manufacturing facility. I have actually been in a booth he has set up in his shop that has a 1000w HPS going - no exhaust fan - no passive venting - nothing. Temp inside the booth was about 78 degrees. Booth size was 6' tall and about 3' deep and maybe 4' wide. Had a curtain on it that covers the little door to the booth kinda like the booths at the game places you get your picture taken in, ya know. If you put your hand on the tube that's surrounding the bulb, it's cool to the touch! Only heat you feel it the radiant heat and it's very minimal. I was extremely impressed. Talk about stealth. No need for noisy fans. No heat plume outside the grow. No noise. No need for air cooled reflector hoods. No ducting all over the place. Set up a couple of low cfm fans sitting on a couple of Can filters to scrub the air, and no smell.

The bulb sits in a double walled glass (doesn't crack like plastic) tube that the water runs through and the smaller semicircular tubes on the end are to reverse the direction of the water and pass it back over the light on its way back to the cooler.

hehe the narrow space for each plant is really a bit messy - mostly for getting to watering etc - worst i think is my head hight problem - i only got about 1 meter of height space for the plants.. a huge F**k up when thinking about it not to leave the roof higher! that way i would have been able to grow BIGGER plants and get bigger yields.. u just cant beat growing bushes indoors
