a closer look on the Astrofog ( i will take more pics before harvest (in about 7-10 days)

the cross:

Astrofog = Astroboy x Kalimist by Holygong

this is a very sativa dominat poly-hybrid with airy buds but a strong punch hehe this time i fimmed it too much and it got buds with less consistency than before. never the less its a great smoke and its going to be my saviour for a while it looks like it will yield more than 100 grams but its dificult to say yet.

the smell the plant has at this time of flowering is really nice - acidic pineaple

the flavour is very similar to the smell - it gets better with the cure - since the buds are somewhat leafy - it takes a little time for the clorophyl to go away - but i will start flushing it today - since i think its about a week from harvest maybe.

now the pics - i did take a small cut branch out from the grow room to be able to take better pics. i think the close ups are a bit more clear now?

Astrofog

looks - very resinous but somewhat high leaf to calyx ratio

taste - sweet and fruity - very similar to pineaple and sour peach.

smell - very fruity like pineaple but with an acidic touch

high - very quick onset of the stone, at first rushy but gets stony after a while. very good day-time smoke

thoughs - early finishing sativa dominant poly-hybrid, very tasty and pleasant high, its a nice smoke and will continue for a while more in the list of keepers

yeah man! thats what I´m talking about lol! When you say acidic I think of the pheno my girl thought smelled catpiss. Everytime I broke up a bud she started looking for the cat to throw her out lol. This was also the most sativa like in structure and very similar to yours as well. Hehe anyway those shots are... you know.......stunning man

since it was a really small plant i deceded against curing and airdrying - and it went straight for the microwave owen hehehe

thats a nice way of saying you couldn't wait to smoke it, lol. just kidding, good smoke report sounds good man.

loving the look of your AF too, where is the top cola gone? is that one of the mold victims?

thats why its nice to have a few "ankle biters" as chaman puts it - to quick dry when the need gets to big hehe

ive been without buds too long

hehe - the astrofog top got cut a few days ago as an early tester hehe the bushes are huge and ready in a few days - wont cut any more untill they are done

no mould has attacked any buds this far - and shouldnt since i got the dehumidifier at max potency pumping out lots of water from the air even i can feel the room a lot less humid now.

cool glad to hear there was no mold and it was only an early tester. i would do the same thing if i had nothing to smoke budwise and out of curiosity too some times.

oh yeah for sure man, specially when you can see and smell that it will be worth it. if there is no trichomes then it's too early, lol. but otherwise early testers can be very interesting as it will show you how early some strains can be taken. while others only become worth while at the very end. it's educational, aye it's for science! Rofl hehe

its really unusually nice here now - we have had a lot of rain for a long time - so everything is really green and nice now when the sun is out although the humidity is a bit heavy

my dehumidifier is still pumping out 5-8 liters every 24 hours

found today my tiny DC female dead (over mature). she was polinated with PTK - but none of the seeds got time to get ready. weird.

next time got more seeds of dcxdc - but next time i will plant them in soil.

bone, do not feel too badly about the DC....
I know, when raco grows her it looks easy
she is not easy, she is touchy....
she is touchy to germinate even, from the get go....
NOT like alibi, everyone can be up within 48 hours,
the DC it might take a couple weeks or more
so they are all going at a different rate anyway....

and she does finish much faster than you expect
and it's tempting to leave her longer, and then you are sorry.

I know you have to go back to work, but I so enjoy your photos and I know what kind of work they are too....
I just want you to know, such a pleasure.

as far as i know - none have tried dc in hydro before? it was worth a shot the x18/dc grows very well - and im suspecting the seeds are ready soon - so i want to try to reveg it i think
