should write a bit about the thoughts with the powerplant x ssh/lp

powerplant is strongly sativa dominant of south african origins.

the LP is mostly southamerican genetics, more preciselly santamarta gold, but with a pinch of g13 if i dont remember wrong.

ssh is joker in the game as i see it since i know allready this part is adding a lot of potency and thickness to the nugs, so im looking for a VERY sativa heavy plant, with varying positive traits from the S.american and the S.african genetics. im not too specific on the exact plant type im after since i let the outcome show it later. but more or less if we get a lot of resin coverage comparable or more to the SSH, on a more vigorous growth pattern, but also having in mind flowering times and density of yields etc.

i dont expect too long flowering in general, and also i expect not too extremelly dense kolas, but rather long big fat kolas bigger hopefully than on the ssh alone...., since this is pretty much as sativa dominant u can get but with still keeping some indica in the structure, i think i dare to hope for plants that wont stretch too much. later it will show... when ever it gets time to plant them :D

one more to add to the list :D

peace all

its all fun :D and it might sound more complicated than it is.

Sounds as nice strains :)

Yeah the sativa go very fluffy...I have 2 really sativadominant plants. But they take 16w+ to finnish flower so wont have time to flower them lol
Its whos your daddy neville x full moon, maybe are you familiar with it?

smoke oooout...

:D

no i havent heard of it but then again its not strange since im not really too conected with what is around comercially in seeds etc. frankly i havent bought beans since i started growing, there is a lot of crosses i havent tried yet :D and propably never will get time. but really my first choice is to try to get time to plant out the crosses we have done ourself :D

after todays check in the grow area i seen the recently made clones, the ones that ARENT affected by any strange worm etc, are actually growing nicelly. before i transplant next clones i make i will soak the coco with some insecticide or BT.

also before putting in any new plants to flower, i will defiently spray them with the product. i think i will have time to start doing it this week.

in flowering, i can see the 2 ssh/ptk's that been under 3 x600 since start of flowering, they are really fattening up a lot. i should explain i have put the lightsone next to each other in a space of less than a meter. this means in the center of the floewring room where i got the most productive plants (ssh/ptk) the light intensity is enormous. i have to regularly feed extra MG to boost the fotosynthesis. i feel like borrowing a lux meter from a friend to see how intense it actually is.

the diamond film really is a great invetion also.. cant get away from that. covering all walls and floor has made the flowering area very brigth indeed. it was worth the 8 euro per square meter.

the chronic that will be for BHO i have more or less started to flush. soon enough i think it will be ready.

the beeniemans choise is starting to flower, same with the ssh/ptk x ssh/lp. the amnesia haze x ssh/ptk/ptk has started flowering also but its later than the rest to get going.

i cant wait to get the BHO victim (the chronic) harvested. its a huge plant with very solid nugs.. and when its gone i can spread out the rest better. i really want to be able to get the 2 last SSH/PTK bushes i put to flower right under the lights. its two really big plants, but one is HUGE compared to normal plants i flower. both are in 25 liter pots. i expect to cover the smoke needs for a while :D when i finally get to cut them. of the PM keeps at bay that is..

--

also im preparing my first "proper" outdoor on my own terrain. this time i will aim for bigger plants than last years mini guerilla plants..

well for inspiring other growers, i will explain the method im going to try this year. i wont most likelly take many pics, since i dont like taking pics of my back yard.. well anyway.

lets say on the sunny side of my plot there is a BIG hole i had the contractors do with an excavator.. the plan was to use this hole for a septic tank or such, but its has not yet fullfilled its purpose, and mean while, i thought i would try to hide a few clones down there.,, - i stress again its never been used FOR anything.. :D - its BIG, more than 2 x 2 meter wide and about 2,5 m deep. in the "floor" of this square hole, i have dag a 200 liter hole for filling with recycled coco. i have pulled down a tube from a building close by, so i dont have TO GO OUTSIDE to water the plot. rather i water in a funnel i got connected to a tube with an inner diameter of about 2,5 cm. in the other end (the end that goes to the plants) i will drill holes and connect "spaghetti" tubes for drip irrigation, although i wont connec tthe actual drip nozzles, since they get blocked too easy. also uin the inlet of the tube i will put a particle filter to make sure the tube doesnt get clogged later on in the season. i will have to try to keep in mind later to check how the evaporation because of heat etc will affect the spaghetti tubes.. i dont want em blocked.

the tube it self is about 4 - 5 meters long x 2,5cm wide, and it will fit quite a lot of water. it should fit enough water to be dripping out most part of the day.

also nexy part is important.. the camouflage. first of all at the moment the area around the hole is well covered with vegetacion, but later on when the drought gets worse during summer, it will die off. so its important that i keep the plant low. the first option will be to bend and tie the plants, to try to keep them growing along the bottom of the hole for most part of veg, separating them from each other, filling out the space.. i hope i wont have to go down too often to do this. also i plan to wait atleast a few weeks more before i take out any plants.

i got a lot of respect for the growth power outdoors and it is really crucial the plants dont grow too tall. maybe im planning to take the plants out way too early... but at the moment i got good cover for working down there.. later on i will have to do it at night and it doesnt seem fun at all.. hehespecially since i took the liberty to allready prepare against rippers. the whole area of the grow is covered with date palm leafs and lemon tree shoots. for u who arent familiar witht these, i can asure you its worse than barb wire. palm leafs of the date variety got a spike in the end that will easy poke out an eye, and on the other hand the lemon tree shoots are about 2 meter long sturdy sticks with about 4 inch long spikes also all along the way, and as the plan dries, they do get stronger...

well they real reason behind those last 2 items is the hole is disguised as a COMPOST. its quite common here to throw down garden garbage in a hole and let it rot.. so i will have the adding of camouflage in the shape of branches and leafs etc covered for all the growth.

also the watering tubes are camouflaged and not possible to see from hellicopter or from the surroundings.

so this far it seems like im set for a nice test outdoor grow this year :D honestly im still thinking of adding a few clones or seedlings out thru the garden where i can. a few extra minis never hurt no one :D those i will hide in the under growth in the mosthumid parts of the terrain.

so thats my urban guerilla attempt for this year :D

peace

a few more have started vegging properly. it seems at the moment the ones that got damaged by the root eating worms, allready have died. also now they are reaching a fast growth rate, and nicelly enough they will all be big before i can flower them :D thats how i like it :D

in the flowering i can only say im amazed by the production at the moment... the ssh/ptk looks almost too good. i really hope they wont get PM..

also now i was about to plant seeds but i realized i run out of coco... so it will have to wait a few weeks untill pay day :D atleast i got all plants going to flowering transplanted and ready...

maybe i will cut some more clones...

peace all!

very nice day today :D makes me want to take out clones as soon as possible.. hehe got to figth the urge :D lol - i need to wait a while more if i dont want to get too big plants....

to keep my mind of things i have been working on my little veggie garden outside :D i prepared new raised beds :D ugly ones but will do for this season :D went with my gf and bought a whole lotta plants from a nursery :D

2 kinds of peppers, 1 chili, eggplant, cucumber, gourgette, and an other tomato variety different to the one i got now :D this one is gonna grow tall :D

as allways everything is planted in a mix of soil, compost, recycled coco and potting soil. the plants will get watered as soon as they get going a bit, with the run off water from the indoor grow..

anyway :D im as stoked about the veggies as the nugs atm :D

in the grow area there is not much to say :D ssh/ptk is geting fatter, and soon enough its time to put in new plants to flower :D

should try to get time to get my cam down to the basement :D

peace!

out of the plants in flowering, the most affected by pm is an amnesiahaze/ssh/ptk/ptk, and the least affected are the ssh/ptk.. the ssh/ptkxssh/lp is also pretty much free from troubles, atleast for now..

i gotten rid of 2 plants with pm in the flowering... so now i will take the time to spray the plants in veg.. also i saw today i got quite a massive invasion of what seems to be thrips. this seems to be one special year... hehe bugs seem to like the conditions we have now...

so finally i have to spray with insecticide and funghicide... i will do it in 2 runs. most likelly, since i dont know if the products are possible to mix...

peace...

hey man, busy as ever eh? i hope to do some outdoor gorilla grows this year too. gonna get the seeds tomorrow of a nice fast tasty outdoor strain with any luck, then look out in the wilds :) wanted to do it last year but didn't get round to it in time.

just for your information, the stuff Fenicure i have been using against pm seems to be good. i did 3 sprays in the beginning, last time at week 3 of 12/12 and now i'm 2 weeks from finish and not a sign of pm anywhere, even though rh reaches 70% sometimes, so that's pretty good imo. specially when considering the clones already had the pm.

:D the problem in the end is that we have a more than 80% humidity now. if u tell me what the active compound is of that product i might find something similar here :D would be higly apreciated :D

im wasting too much time and money on BHO :D butane costs more than i like hehe specially bigger extractions...

peace :D

fungizid: EC Tmulsionskonzentrat
23% oleum foeniculi (231g/l)

that's all the ingredients i could find, it smells of fennel so it could mean oil of fennel

very nice. just started my very first coco grow. ill take all the info and photos you have to share. keep us updated on that drip system. im also at hand feeding right now and drawing the plans for an upgrade.

:D finally after all therse years i decided not to use drip systes indoors, even if it takes more time :D but it would make my indoor less fun :D

outside the drips sytems is a good idea, since during summer we get ver y extreme high temps and draught, and tis a bad combo if u want quick growth :D

just finished spraying the plants in veg, and the ones in flowering that have the furthest to go.

i hope the funghicide and mite poison will solve most of the problems i got now :D hehe

Hey Bones, I hope you get on top of the pm issue soon, must be a real PITA. A few people in my area have suffered from it despite humidity not being very high. Is there something I can use as a good preventative cure to avoid being hit by it?

I`m also hoping to get hold of some auto flowerers for some outdoor fun this year.

Cheers, Toke

speaking of out doors, check out what i got today, supposed to be a real nice outdoor strain for this area, can't wait to start stashing these babies in the great grow house of mother nature :)

ps another very interesting thing is the sulfer vaporizer, a guy was recommending it highly in my thread and it does sound interesting as apparently it's not the same as when you burn sulfer, because it gets vaporized it's harmless for humans and pets but keeps all mold, pm and pests away. never like the idea of sulfer burners, but this sounds like it needs to be tried out.

peace

well after a long time without taking pics of the growroom.. i think its finally time to get down to it, now when its almost clean and all :D so i got the cam battery charging and i try to remember it tomorow :D

i put one plant into the flowering room. im not 100% sure but i think it might be a SSH or a Power plant OR a chronic.

the big plants in the flowering room makes it impossible to put in anymore plants for now, but it looks like they are filling up the space very nicelly after some bending of stems and such. there is only 8 plants under 1800W in the 2m x 2m room. this coming week i will harvest something more so i hope to be able to squeezy in a few new ones.

also its time for a trimming of lower nugs session, the flowering big plants will need to get pistol whipped, although a bit later than normal, but its still going to be worth it. its the beeniemans, the ssh/ptk x ssh/lp and the amnesia haze /ssh/ptk/ptk that are particullarly vigorous, and they have definetly benefitted from the adition of light and etc..

the other day i found out some ppl are selling bud for 8 euro a gram here (!) in spain! and it was the crappiest shit nugs i ever seen, wich is as usually the comercial weed quality in spain.

it makes me wonder how much in reality is worth the solid resin covered nugs i grow.. well as allways im sure no one here couold even aford it :D hehe so i better keep smoking it as allways :D

ppl seem to be able to sell anything here, and for a lot! bad karma for them! i remeber a few weeks ago i got an offer on the nugs i use for BHO.. full of PM! and the spanish guys excuse is - "man it cant be THAT bad" but i told hime no way man, all this resin is for my BHO.

as i see it i rather have a big lump of sticky nice jelly hash, than sell any of my nugs.

i dont need bling bling :D i just want to smoke :D

peace!
