He signed that contract in ‘09 and made $25 mil from it. He was cut in ’12 and decided it was time to move on despite interest from other teams. He had been in the league since ’05.

I know where this guy is coming from. There is something deep inside that drives some to plow the earth and sow a crop. I've got 65 acres of oats popping up bright green right now. I love it. It doesn't pay real well at all but it seems worthy to grow food for livestock and people. It's always a battle with the elements too. Bugs, no rain, heat, hail and all sorts of ways to fail at something that seems so simple.
Important info there^^ He has a fallback plan with a few million dollars I would guess. If he was broke and doing this, whole different game, which would likely not end too well.
