Read the new proposed bill then come back and reply if you want. I'm vastly underestimating yields.....I'm out, they dont want me giving up any info. I can say legal weed will be entering the free market soon enough. Keep on keeping those prices up there!

Pictures speak 1000's of words for quality.
Surprised by how much this thread has taken off lately.

...
because no grower I have ever met can produce 250 ( assuming 1.5 ounces per 2500 square foot) pounds of pot in one grow themselves and have it come out the same way they can 8 even 16 pounds of (100 - 200 sq ft or 4-8 1000 watts lights with a 5x5 foot print assuming close to 1.5 ounces)

once you increase your yields there is a law of declining returns in efforts unless you increase capital expense and employee costs to offset and on the books that starts getting very costly ....

THIS x5. I have never seen anyone with a grow bigger than 4k per person working, grow truely dank nugs (all the time, they might get one lucky crop, but I mean top shelf every harvest). They always seem to think they do though.

We can and we do grow top shelf. No one I mean no one who has had our weed has EVER said they have had better. ECSD/ chemdog/ most strains we have were selected from more than three packs of beans by ourselves and other growers. Some of these people had been dealers all their lives. We are not greedy as some of you. We can keep our overhead under $10000/month and still charge $150/ounce easily. Looking at a 2500sft canopy in a heated greenhouse which will easily yield $60/square ft. That comes to $150k a run... Two of our kids just got their cards, and one is now taking patients that We have to refuse. They will apply for a store front license to sell when maine legalizes. We could sell it for less than a $100/ounce if we felt the need. Its not about YOU greedy little people!!!!

Very angry tone. I welcome anyone in the world growing as much cannabis as they possibly can. I don't hate on you or your family for wanting a license to grow with the blessing of the government. I love you for wanting to sell AAA for $100 an oz.

I wish you 150K each run and hopefully 4 runs a year! Now when you pull in your massive harvests of AAA and clear the 150K remember the little guy in the trenches loves you and wishes you bigger and better next time.

Let me be more specific here. Your comments preclude you havent read the thread, you just burst out blurbing whatever as if YOU CAME INTO THE MIDDLE OF A CONVERSATION and blurped out,"bomb!!!". You definately have not read the proposed law. Fear is directing your posting. Nobody will take from your bottom line. There will always be a black market, it will be just less profitable then it has been for ya. :tiphat:

No Black market here!! Sorry you got the wrong guy!! I actually did read the whole thread Sorry If I didn't agree with your thoughts. And then to proceed to quote you line for line! You are funny I'll give you that. Only time will tell what's gonna happen. But I've Blurped out quite enongh I guess LOL.

 you quoted weird who misquoted stats, hahaha, whatever... There is always someone better than you, pays more attention to detail, and grows better dank. Thats just the way it is... always no matter whatever we do. There's a world beyond those walls enclosed around ya', check it out! :dance013:

Where are your pictures? You make a big talk, but have nothing to back it up, this makes you a troll.

So anyone who knows anything more than you, has run bigger rooms than 4k, or has an opinion differ from yours but has no pictures must be a troll. BTW we run 6k rooms and have for years. You'll need to graduate from those tents if ya' think you'll be competitive in the next few years.

These millennials!

um what? You throw figures around like you know what you're talking about. I almost went over backwards in my chair kid. Tokin Jo stated $60/square foot. Where in her post did you get 250lbs? Try 62lbs based off her $150/zip pricing and 2500 square foots canopy.... omg this is so stupid that you could fuck that up?

For what it's worth I'm running 19 thousand watts and consider that small time mom and pop.
We can only speculate the future and trends regarding it, everything else is hypothesis at best.
All I really care about is having a place at the table. As long as we keep big corporation grows out of the mix it will be up to the individual canna farmer to determine what capacity will be most beneficial for they're pocket as well as quality control that patrons will tolerate.

I plan on staying small -medium sized so I can keep quality control up and stay intimate with my passion.

There will be no legalization with opponents like that scumbag caregiver group led by Paul McCarrier (mmcm). ..... if they get their way.

I'll speculate my own prices, when the plant is free, it will be practically free from me. You all just dont whine if your competition sells better bud at cheaper prices. There will always be someone that does that.

im willing to bet you would help more people if you charge 10% to those who could give and gave it for free to those who have nothing

Wonderful, someone pushing Obama's socialist agenda... take from peter and give to paul. WTF, why not $20 /hr minimum wage while we're at it?

Pied eye seems like your suffering from red eye. Are you still sore from someone wronging you?
I'm asking cause your so aggressive and combative with your post. I kno you seem to have it figured out from your perspective but it's just that. Your perspective.
I have this picture in my head when I read your post. The image Is of you up real late obsessing about competition and how you think you can dominate markets and such" on the couch with smoke coming out of your ears. Hehehe
Take it easy my fello canna farmer. All that negativity will transfer to your garden and you'll be selling evil weed.
I'm sure you mean well and still just upset someone disagreed with you months ago but I was not. I agree with a lot of what you say about prices and production and competition. It's really a supply and demand thing tho. Not so much your perceived superior grow skills that will drive market prices. Your conceded and pompous attitude is comical. Good luck

Furthermore it is very uneducated from a market standpoint to say You (redeyepiper/tokinJ)speculate the prices for myself and bla bla bla.

The cost of living continuely increase as well as nutrients supplies and utilities. Your setting what you think should be standard price. And it may be. But not because you say so. It's economics 101.
Why would you want to low ball yourself right off the bat? I commend you for not price gouging but what business plan consists of making the lowest possible return?

Have you considered running a non profit since your so giving??

At the end of the day your running a business with all the happy horse shit aside. So you and I and everyone else will see for ourselves when the time comes. The consumer will ultimately decide how much they'll pay and where from.

I get compassion. That's why I volunteer my time to several organizations unrelated to cannabis. As well as I donate medicine.
It's contradictory to say everyone else is greedy but you plan on bringing people to they're knees and will dominate the market.

Wow looks like someone's mad, lol

I figure I'll decide what I'll charge my patients and when marijuana is legal in maine I'll decide what my prices will be. Nobody will be there to underscore my passion or pockets. You dont like it? Oh well. Its funny seeing pete wound up over what again? Hey Pete when everyone gets down below the pole.... we simply lower the bar.

Furthermore compassionate giving people who donate and volunteer dont go around message boards telling everyone they do. Thats petty!!!! get over yourself.

Now back to prices in ME!

From the circles that I talk to, soil and hydro indoor are fetching 3k a pound at the top. Local outdoor is being talked about as low as 2200 for well grown but I believe that there'll be good local outs for 2k, maybe less for those who need to pay bills. I wouldn't really consider it all to be true AAA quality and most of this seems to be machine trimmed buds. From what I saw and smoked it all seemed pretty nice. The market is very competitive right now. The guys at the bottom want the best but have to settle for what the pound players have. Of course the pound players always want the most profit so its best to find ways to get to the guys at the bottom to maximize in this new market.

I'm also seeing great indoor catered to private patients for $150 / oz for strains like Lemon Larry OG, Headband and strains of this nature. Others seems to have oz for 200-225 at most. Just what I'm seeing in this current market. Cali bud is also going as low as 2.5k a p.
