What about Seedsman's Afghani #1? This is supposedly the original Sacred Seeds variety, so wouldn't that qualify as pre-Soviet? Damn cheap too:

I have a bunch of Seedsman seeds I managed to pick up cheap (free for some - swapped some clones with a shop owner - heh)
As far as I know, (having yet to grow any), their seeds are all genuine and these batches are all from Sam the Skunkman, so their blurb says.

afghani 1 is skunk no1 crossed with afghan so doesnt really qualify i heard some good stuff about it though

Ok, afghaini number one was created from two homogeneous afghani land race lines and is now a stable cross, it is not landrace though. It does not contain any skunk #1 either. Seedsman does not produce there own seeds and I believe that their afghani #1 is from sensi. You can verify this info on the Sensi Seeds forum. I hope to give more info on afghainis in the near future. This is what I have collected so far.

Petrolia just arrived today along with the Highland Afghani IBL. I will keep you updated.

Like T2U says, for $200 I'd have to see a couple decent gro reports on her 1st.
I heard that there's a 'original' version of Petrolia Headstash in the Emerald Triangle that is much, much better than the seed version. But that was antedotal so take it with a grain of salt.

Nearly all the afghanis sold have been stabilised with skunk..
(it seems to me that sam's one isn't crossed with skunk but an afghani landrace hybrid...it's i think the only "pure" afghan available)
forget mapple leaf indica as a pure pre-soviet... MPI is [Female Ortega15 x Sam afghan skunk] X [male Skunk 18.5].

seems like youre talking out of your ass, i wont post on your first comment because its just ridiculous, but please fill us in on your lineage to MLI; because i doubt sensi would lie about its pre-soviet ancestory and an ibl. and if you search for photos of MLI, it has afghani growth traits...so..what the fuck are you talkin bout???

i'm not a newbee in cannabis culture so don't act like this with unknown members.. i'm new poster here, but i'm not innocent. i've done years ago searches on afghanis and most of the hybrid done with it...Continue to believe Dronkers and most of the sellers and all will be OK
