Pre 1990's Purple Urkle from seed

When I lived in so humboldt co I grew the lavender clone that was grown around the shelter cove and also up the hill by white thorn it was never labelled urkle. This was 2001-2003 I went down to the alameda area and the same cut was being rebranded as p.u I am certain the lav cut was selected from a couple seed packs that were sourced in Amsterdam from old soma. I believe this to be solid info

that's literally the first time I've ever heard anything that remotely validates my hypothesis that urk = good pheno of lavender...I've honestly been speculating that for years since I grew out a cut of lavender in like 06-07ish.

I'd love to run through a bunch of old soma gear, some of the last bags I bought before I was self supplied was Somango, and amethyst...looking back I think a lot of the stuff my buddy used to grab in arcata was some soma gear...he was definitely my favorite breeder before I ever really got very serious with growing...and I've honestly never even popped a single one of his seeds...I need to change that!

I was thinking to put just one of my AC/DC and Sour Diesel into the 4x4 along with the Urkles to play around. Ahhh the fun it is going to be. I am so eager!!!

I was and have been behind on setting up the 4x4. I need to transplant, steam clean, and then we are off.!!

There is so much to the many stories out there. I believe (IN MY OPINION FROM WHAT I HAVE PUT TOGETHER) that Purple Urkle is a variant of Deep Chunk. Not sure what it was crossed with or self sexed but that is what I believe. Which lends to the idea of the clone only variant. For each pheno there may have been a clone only variant. So I wonder how many seeds were made of the original Deep Chunk? And if these are f1 or f2's then males should be lurking. If no males to be found then she may be feminized. In either case I know I have a deep IBL Indica on my hands. And pheno testing will be happening. What I need is more space!! God I would love to have a facility to breed in. Watch out what one asks for. Thank you all for the support.

deez, thats pretty interesting to hear your theory being independantly backed up.right on man, you might have solved a mystery of weed. someone shoould dna test both samples.

A dirty old biker ( my godfather ) that he has
Had since the 80s I popped one last yr, seemed
Legit enough to me lol they were fat leaf also
I did a cross to my old OG haven't wet any of those
Seeds yet..

I will now follow along quietly. Lol

urkle og would be cool. i have some urkle x haze my ex grew a few i liked the weed off of the. i still have a few waiting for me to make more with them for later. probably open pollenation.

4X4 TRANSPLANT

No signs of shock. Transplants went perfect. Not a limpness or a leaf curl .







Used these nutes on my Diesel but dimmed it down 30% for the transplant stage.

Taking a clone from each in the next days. I will sho that process here too!!

Ahh what a smokey weekend. California is in fire!!
