There is a serious storm pummeling the easy coast, so they aren't having it so easy. There are alot of us growers there, and this could really mess them up. I have been praying and trying to remain positive. I have family in the direct path, and I am scared. This is going to be a disaster for some of us. For growers in the path, get Coleman lanterns, that way you can turn them on in the flower rooms if you lose power, so you don't mess up your light schedule. Water everything, if you are automated. If anyone has anything still outside, chop now!!!! Store plenty of water for res's. It is gonna get cold, and if you lose power, candles are a good source of heat, but can be dangerous, so put plastic wrap around the plants, to keep them warm, if that is possible. If you think you will have flooding at all, get all the electrical wires/ballasts up and off the ground. Make sure to bring pets in, if they are dogs, they will alert you to any looters. Try to get odor eliminator air fresheners, or moth balls...if emergency officials come knocking, and your power is out, the carbon filters will not be working, and you have to have something to mask the odor...scented candles can also be a HUGE help in this situation. If your indoor plants are close to harvest, you might just want to do that now, as opposed to dealing with power outages and light schedules. If you have generators, get them feuled up, but refer to your individual ballast manuals, to see if it is safe to use with a generator....I have been told most ballsts cannot be used with some generators. Call any family members, loved ones, and friends, before you lose phones. And pray. I have so many friends, and peeps that used to be friends, that I am worried about. I hope everyone makes it through safely...and that if they are growing, their grows make it through. I wish I could start GEMA....GROWERS EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ADMINISTRATION, and be able to help any growers affected. Actually, we can....keep in touch as much as possible with EAST COAST'ers, and if they are in need of cuts, edibles, equipment, etc...and we are able to help at all, then be ready, cause we should all help. They are us, and we are them....and I would like to believe that this community will take care of it's own. This is serious, and could really ruin things for our fellow growers on the east coast. If anyone has any other suggestions, please post them up. Good luck, God bless and stay safe.
