Now Monsanto will get the monopoly, and anyone growing will go to jail for life. I have not followed California law, but have heard it will be just like alcohol and tobacco throughout the country. Insanely taxed and monopolized.

^^ Yea, but for those of us that grow our own, this is freedom. I understand the dislike of the taxes and regulations, but come on, this is California after all. The most taxed and regulated damn state in the US.

alcohol is not monopolized nor insanely taxed. and you can make your own beer/wine legally, you just can't sell it. if you aint selling it, you are below the radar even if making moonshine.

You might be last to get legal but it is coming hippy. If nothing else, you can just enjoy the vibe from here.

Fantastic news California! This is the beginning of world wide freedom for cannabis.

But it's bad news for cash croppers, though there will be a short term uplift in prices due to the increased demand, but within 12 months prices will drop so low that it will shock you. There's a few things that cash croppers can - go big or go for AAA quality..and the demand for seeds and clones will be very strong too.

It's actually great news in my eyes for cash croppers. There will be a surplus but at "premium" prices. Just because it's legal doesn't mean dispenseries will lower prices, contrary, I believe prices will skyrocket due to all the new regulations that are now in play. Everything will be taxed to high heaven and every so called legit business in California are trying to figure out how to implement marijuana in there program since its "legal". But while they're taxing and bureaucrating the cash croppers will be able to disperse they're product at a much lower price but at a premium over current prices. Us cash croppers, we ain't going nowhere, we'll always be in demand.

PEACE!

I am just going by a documentary I saw about Colorado. Top shelf bud was about $20 a gram then a $10 tax, so $30 a gram, so $840 an ounce. Then there is sales tax, income tax, they will add growing tax, and any other tax they can think up.

All for something they were killing people for, ruining lives, imprisoning for decades, just because now they can make money from it. Just my opinion.

I just hope the taxes go to help the poor and low income, plus do good for the states, and do not go to the fed to piss away on more war mongering to make their friends rich.

Well......I guess that it's good news for many, and bad news for some.

Hopefully the rest of the world will take note, and move themselves towards legalization, in whatever guise it comes...

But I won't be really happy about it, until growers of cannabis have the same freedoms as growers of tomatoes.....and we can all grow as much as we want or need, so long as it does not detrimentally affect the environment, or other people's freedoms.

i wish i could, but Trump winning the White House means that Christie might get his wish to be atty general, & crack down on weed- legal states federally...

^^ Just me guessing but Trump runs Christie and will take away his twinkies if he tries shit with states pot legalization. Trump ran casinos-booze and gambling, I doubt he has any bad will towards someone toking.

Just me guessing...but Christie, career politicians and the GOP run president Trump like a doll
And I'm not being negative towards trump...that's just how it works w them...now I'm hoping we see him shatter that...but nowhere near having any confidence..

I guess a circus of a country deserves a clown for a leader. I would prefer weed remaining illegal to a president trump......

I agree but:laughing:
Good luck with that.
Florida just passed Medical Mary (someone, I forget who sorry, just used the phrase here at ICM) I like it for the English word Mary rather than the Spanglish marijuana. I been sayin about the feds, MMJ and gun rights for years.. only a matter of time.

Oh lets hope not brother AOH.

That christie guy is, well, an idiot. If Trump gives him that office it would be a huge logistical failure on his part. He'd be shooting himself in the foot. Imo, christie was a useful idiot for Trump's campaing, or at least that's what I want to believe.

I had mentioned taxes in a previous post, where Colorado has 50% weed tax. We started war and became independent over a 3% tea tax.
