You guys are waaaaay over my head, this Romulan mutant should be good ?Piffcoasts pc3 clone which is a piff s2 selection is what id call sensitive she went into flower at 18/6 in a low light environment. There's been several other short flowering piff clones found in piff s2 x cbh and when hypbrids ran cbh s2 they found a pheno called el squato which probly a recombinant pheno from non haze side.
There's an age related micro RNA 156 whose presence blocks the bloom cycle. When a seed is first popped it must cycle out it's 156 before flower can start and once 156 is gone the red light sensors pick up longer nights and flower begins.
So if a seed pop is vegged until it shows pistil that's when the 156 is gone. Lower starting level of 156 = faster flower.
However there's direct relationship between 156 genes and trichome density. This may explain why haze loses desirable traits in a hybrid with shorter flower time. The crossing has brought down the 156 levels.
I’m sorry mate but please take this somewhere else, I don’t want this thread being derailed. Please take your musing about other subjects and make your own thread with it, you are already misleading with your comment about Korean genetics which isn’t true.Piffcoasts pc3 clone which is a piff s2 selection is what id call sensitive she went into flower at 18/6 in a low light environment. It’s not and has never been Korean. And there’s no way of telling until you’re done but as you’ve seen earlier in the thread some people have gotten good results. You guys are waaaaay over my head, this Romulan mutant should be good ?
What might flowering time be like autos?get about thumb size buds already. It’s not and has never been Korean. And there’s no way of telling until you’re done but as you’ve seen earlier in the thread some people have gotten good results.
It’s probably similar to the stated flowering time, 10-12 weeks totalWhat might flowering time be like autos?get about thumb size buds already.
Sorry for the late reply but personally I wouldn’t order again from the same company you’re having problems with. Try green verdant in boutique breeders he’s got some cool stuff going on.No thought on the two?
Yea the problem is when the first cultivar doesn’t go as planned, often the second won’t either. I already grew their communion and it was hella frosty from the very start of flowering and it didn’t mean anything as far as quality goes. On top of that they are only really known for their Romulan line which they cross to stuff.I know reports from a newbie isn't much help but....... Even tho this went differently than the cultavar was supposed to be Im thrilled. It's stacking fast, super sticky and stinky. I'm so happy with it I ordered the Holyfield. Said not the easiest to grow but it will put you to sleep, don't use in daytime.......I will take the challenge any weed day or night for me.
I'm new so easily wowed lol. I got 5 other strains so all hope not on Romulan. But I'm glad I didn't pull them....I needed something while others did their thing. These Romulans are beating autos planted on January 21st that aren't showing no signs of flowers . Well for the first time out Im ok with how I turned out I was so mad.Yea the problem is when the first cultivar doesn’t go as planned, often the second won’t either. The federation is more indica leaning from my knowledgehave any of you fellas tried the fem'd romulan...says it's from the 90's genetics...got the beans but never grown it...
I’ve never grown the Federation version but I’ll admit I’ve always wanted to get my hands on some lol. I wouldn’t think it would need anything other than standard care.that's what the internet says...have you ever grow it...just wondering if there's any special about her needs are...
They are crazy.48 days from seed sure gave you some nice plants. Looks like they have a lot of vigor…
Nice they look pretty good for being random autoflowers, still can’t help but think something else happened. My Bx1 are still in veg but doing well. I’ll have to post some pics soon or start a new thread. They are crazy.
